    Using Pres. Bush as an example IS an example of GroupThink at your school. Political persuasion at the academic level due to GroupThink from academics.

    So the fear of being wrong overrules the desire to be right if it means sticking up for objective facts while standing out from the group. In other words, gang-might-makes-right.

    Why was this political? You could have given the example of...we must pass it so we can find out what's in it.

      I don't know if that's a great counter-example, but your point is right. They could've used a neutral example. It would have been more informative.

      Because universities are saturated in groupthink.

      I think the video was referring to a Noam Chomsky analysis of groupthink where he mentions the invasion of Iraq.
