Just closed mine as well. They claim it was a booboo and not meant to be sent out. Clearly, it is how they feel. They should be canceled.
I dumped them years ago when I had a problem with a vendor who never sent me my correct order and when I called PayPal they told me there was nothing they can do and I have to call my credit card company and I said to them what the hell do I need you for and they didn't have an answer.

I read this story the other day, and it would appear that PayPal has backtracked and “mistakenly” printed that into their policy. That said; it speaks volumes about them as a company. I also turned 50 this year and was solicited by AARP. Another company with a liberal affiliation I want no part of. Too many people do not under the scope of what’s happening; and has happened over the past 15-20 years (give or take). I appreciate so much, this reminder and all the hard, well thought work you have done! Keep it up! You rock! I’d say that you would have made a better VP but in my eyes, definitely Presidential quality. Not second best!

Candace, this video has saved me more than you could ever know! After watching this, I went to paypal to delete my account..haven't been on there in a long time. I found that, during the first part of this month, someone had tried to scam me by ordering something through my paypal. At the time this was done the card linked to my paypal had insufficient funds to cover the transaction..it was quite a lot of money pending to be paid once the funds where available. However, I have money about to hit this card which would have allowed this to go through..leaving me unable to pay my bills! So..I just want to say Thank you so much!!!! Because of you, I was made aware of this and was able to stop it in time. God is indead working miracles..Bless you, for everything you stand for!

I deleted it last week when they played this card. Coincidentally, their cancel account button was broke and I had to work through customer service for a few days to kill it. They tried to slow the spread so quickly spread the spread.

I recently added a bank account to PayPal, just to get ready for a potential transfer. I did not set it as a preferred payment. They then put a charge through to this bank account that had always gone to another account forever. I immediately saw the issue, and directed them to use my original payment method as the preferred payment. Then they proceeded to take two more payments out of the other account. The entire fiasco cost me $100. I then deleted all of my payment methods with them and will not use them again. They didn't even offer a rational explanation for the issue, and they did not care about my problem. Spot on, Candace.

I tried to delete all my personal information first, but it wouldn't let me. I even tried to change my name and it asked for a gov ID.. like, for real? So I requested the deletion of my personal information and then the closure of my account thereafter.
Yep. They're trying to make it more difficult than it needs to be. Their customer service call center in the background sounded really chaotic yesterday--as in probably getting lots of cancellations. They deserve it.

I canceled my PayPal account last Friday. I will miss the convenience of PayPal when transferring money to an individual but I cannot use and support a company with this mentality.

I couldn't agree more, it is easy to be your most beautiful when you are free and unafraid of being your authentic self, unapologetically. I chose that lifestyle about 5 years ago and it's the best decision I've ever made. I've never had such a clear conscience. I also believe it has made me more attuned to other people's facade, which I believe is reciprocal; I'm pretty sure there is an unspoken understanding between myself and someone like that where we both know that I know that they are phony and that their life is a lie and they know that I know.
