I watched the nose of the plane go through the building intact and thought it was a movie. I kept telling my girlfriend who was sent home because she worked for time warner in a call center in Sudbury Ontario. The transponder was on the tower so time warner was down, she got sent home. haha yeah I grew up in the french system in Nigeria in the 90s (not sure how relevant that is) but they taught us how to tell how far lightning is by its sound (thunder). Since light travels faster than sound, you see the lightening first then hear the thunder. The longer the time between seeing and hearing, the further away it is. If lightning strikes in front of you you'll see and hear it at the same time. So when you see lightning, start counting until you hear thunder. If the counting decreases next time, the storm's getting closer. If the counting increases it's going further away. They also taught how to tell the km based on counting but I zoned out by then lmao
