Man, you are insanely brave! I really enjoyed this video.
"Brave" like he is visiting a warzone? 😪
Brave ? 🤣🤣😎 You must see my channel Lost in africa check and see what is brave 😉
there's nothing brave there u little kid to say that
Sooo brave like this now crazy but at least look how welcoming we are !!!
Cameroon, my country. I was born in Paris in France but I am originally from Cameroon and I travel there every year and mainly to Douala even if I visit the west, my parents' villages. Yes, the national languages are French and English, French is spoken at 80% and English at 20%, otherwise there are more than 250 languages and dialects and there are 2 invented creoles, Francam-Anglais and Pidgin.
Many people think Cameroon is a French speaking only, not knowing it's bilingual.
But I love this guy
This guy is a menace going around Cameroon just saying Samuel Eto'o, mbappe 😂
All he needed was for him to say Roger Milla but he's too young for that

I was born and raised in Cameroon for half my life. I usually go there to visit on summer vacation and I have quite a lot to say. If u think about going and truly want to experience from the beauty of village, the chaos of markets and bars, and some hidden luxury, u need to be acquainted to a local there or someone who has been there before.
Don’t act like ur all that there, because even locals acting “rich” or “bratty” gets it bad walking in markets and crowded places.
I would recommend renting a vehicle and a chauffeur went u arrive mostly to travel better from villages to cities. Also if u worry about comfort and such in the place u are to live, there are plenty of hidden residencies to visit with European style rooms. That’s one of the reasons I need someone local who knows his stuff. The bars are a must go especially at night be careful as there are safe ones like dangerous ones out there. Vegetarians will suffer, even though there are a lot of foods only made with veggies, it’s taste might not suit them and one thing lots of Cameroonian loves is their meat and fish. Btw poisson bresé are a must, you’ll usually see a stand selling them were a lot of mottomen stops and where the traffic are awful with other exotic foods. There are honestly a lot to talk about for a trip there so I’ll stop here
Thank you for sharing. I plan on going one day. Took a DNA test and found out I have Cameroonian ancestry. I also love meat and fish so I look forward to tasting as well. 😋 Question: are there nice beaches to visit in your opinion?
Yesss!!! In Kribi i have been there last time when I was 8, I go there in 2 weeks :)@@generalsagmandia8239
There are beautiful beaches in the city of Kribi, towards the South, the sand there is yellowish or of ivory color....
Then you have the city of Limbe with its beautiful garden and beautiful beaches with black sand... Limbe has its own natural beauty.... I am Camerounian😊
Fact: In the 80s and other times, the music was really good!
I spent 10 days in Yaounde about 4 years ago and it was an amazing experience. Taking the collective taxis was one of the most interesting experiences (never knew if it would take me 45 mins. or 2 hours to get to my destination), was invited to be on a live TV show (literally found out the same morning and rushed to the TV station) and recorded a few other interviews after. Made great connections, had wonderful evenings out eating and a little dancing to my favorite music, and co-hosting a summit. It was just a really cool stay. Was supposed to go to Douala as well but ran out of time. Next time!
Great experience 😊😊
@@arkboardemmanuel1784 It was. It's still very vivid in my memory, and I appreciate the experience deeply (even though I came back with malaria, lol).
@@reginahuberI'm going there soon, will you come see me?
Same here ,been to Yaounde 3 times. Spent most of it neat restaurant St.Trope and Instanbul cafe. I felt safer in Yaounde then in Douala but it's not as dangerous as what people make it to be. Use common sense, be respectful, execute caution, and do not carry big money or look like a target.
Douala is a beautiful city. This was just the ghetto side of Douala. There is also the glamorous side of the city.

Cool video, a friend invited me to go stay in Douala for 4 months hmm it don´t look too bad, but also dont look too great. I lived in Sri Lanka and Cambodia for years but have to say I find Africa a bit scary, I have the wrong tann to even try to blend in :) I will have to visit Africa and face my fear haha, be wise and don´t get robbed seems to be the key in most of the continent. Thumb up for your video.

It also helps to be a tall guy. You look almost a head taller than most of the local guys. Hard for solo women to travel to these places. Also nice video.
I love you from Iraq
I can see you in Akwa
There's nothing dangerous about Cameroon. If you are a stranger just find someone to take you through because people in the transport will likely export you. In Cameroon you will just likely gets some pick pockets nothing dangerous. What's so spacial about Cameroon is the food it's one of the few countries you will have plenty to eat and variety of foods is abondance Cameroon has more than 300 different types of dishes
Hahahahah greetings from Yaoundé Cameroon..
I would say he is brave if he went to Bamenda. Douala is not dangerous compared to the North West. It is sad that the majority does not know about the issues going on in the English speaking part of Cameroon and the first World countries close their eyes on that.
went close to Bamenda
Everyone saying Bamenda, Bamenda, you probably locals expressing your origins.. Fact is,, Bamenda has a HUGE touristic potential. I studied there for 3 years and the landscape is just breathe taking, the folklore is ouuff but so are many other areas in 237. Just that you can't enjoy all that now, can you? If you wanna visit Cameroon, then; DOUALA, GAROUA, "YAOUNDÉ", FAKO, KRIBI, A LIL BIT OF THE WEST.. These are places to start your stay.. Cameroon is a natural and cultural masterpiece. We can be more, but somehow something holds back ~FRENCH AFRICAN~ countries.
My former cameroonian fiance's mom is from Bamenda, and her dad is from Mamfe. I didn't realize Bamenda was big until I got there. I was told they have nearly 1 million people and man it was spread out. I see some very good and nice and bad conditions around that area.
Ok... but don't give a random kids 5,000 cfa. That's ridiculous. Gives a bad perception and creates an expectation.
This is actually so interesting seeing countries where most people wouldn’t ever think of travelling! And i really like that you are always so open to everyone, keep up the great content man! Greetings from Germany😃🤜🏽

Gus, do you think Douala is safe?
Hi Gus
This video says you were there in Cameroon about 4 months ago. How did you get a visa to travel there. Their borders have been closed to tourists since 2020.
I have been trying to travel there for a year. Can you tell me the best way to get a tourist visa? I am from the United States.
Any tips would be appreciated
Thanks
I don’t know if I can help you but since the Africa Cup is in playing in Cameroon, a lot of foreigners a traveling to cameroon and get Visas from all around the world. I guess that the borders aren’t closed anymore :)
The boarder is not closed. That information is false. If you are in US, send your passport to your embassy in Washington and collect a visa of any of their consolate in USA.
Nice video
Btw you are close to 200k subs :))
How were you able to enter Cameroon? Seems like the borders have been closed for tourism since March 2020 and still are? Any tips? It’s impossible to get a tourist visa right now
I am a EU citizen and I managed to get o go to Cameroon a year ago when Covid was still a hot topic and the US borders were close to us. So the CM borders have been open for a while 😉
I hope that they win the CAN
I lived there for 9 months and never felt unsafe ever!
