When James Franco makes an interview he becomes Dave Skylark from The Interview.
Çağlar Keser. I noticed that too! xD
I was thinking that too. Nice!
Jajajaa Is so truth!! I thought that I was watching the interview movie
I love this side of CZcams
Spread Love it makes it worth it, y‘ know?
Me too!! ♥️ Fun, intelligent conversations.
James Franco is owning this..gosh what a confident lad. He is sitting next to a legend and interviewing him like a pro...I loved this conversation
This man uses a variety of body movements to convey his message with every sentence lol. That’s kind of talented no lie
I grew up watching James Franco as Harry Osborn in the original Spider-Man trilogy. The key part of why those movies are still the best movie adaption of Spider-Man, was the huge amount of talent which was present in the main cast. Toby Maguire was amazing as Peter Parker, and James Franco was a truly great Harry Osborn. He brought so much emotion and feeling to the character, and ever since I've thought Franco to be one of our finest actors :)
Oh my God i had forgotten he was in that movie! Its been a looong time
James Franco - that body language , confidence sitting across from Dustin Hoffman !
Unicornz AlltheWay well when you're already that accomplished, that kind of cocky swagger comes with territory.
Franco is the whole time interrupting Hoffmann. He is in love with himself. He should breath a bit and have some more respect for a legend.
@@sadhanayogaayurveda it was quite literally dustin doesnt like to lead in situations like this. He allowed him to interrupt and approves of those whom exert the confidence to lead because he can shut him down at any time
Franco should teach a Masterclass on how to be Franco.
BunnyMan456 lol so true
Lol
ikr he's the most charasmatic guy Iv'e ever seen
There is such a great connection between them. I wish this was longer.
He looks damn good for being 80 yrs old.
What - 80!?
I thought he was in his 60’s!
80 no way!!
Love this. Its all natural. More actors please.
James Franco was so good at playing Tommy Wiseau, the editors of this video literally thought he was Tommy Wiseau and credited him as the star of "The Room"
James Franco ("The Room")??? It wasn't the disaster artist???
His performance was so good that they forgot it wasnt Tommy
go home Variety!! You're drunk!!
Hahaha. Exactly. Is the disaster artist
The Disaster Artist is based on The Room
It was clear James had prepared the interview in advance because his questions were so spot on, but Dustin was like "uh, funnies experience on set?" buzzfeed type of question lol
Dustin Hoffman is so underrated as an actor. It's shocking.
what?
I'm starting to appreciate more and more James Franco
I adore Franco but he has no filter. Which makes me like him even more.
I just want to see The Disaster Artist already
Dustin Hoffman is amazing. Such talent. Franco is lucky to be sitting across from him.
Loving these interviews, nice change having people with mutual interests talk about their experiences!
Franco's so loud haha
his voice blown out as usual...
sad.
pitiful when actors cant kick cigs...
teenie beenie I think more of the fact that he’s been on a long press tour for his new movie and he’s full of energy.
he's enthusiastic
James Franco is so awesome! Dustin too, but how generous is James in this duo, he acts like an interviewer.
I really enjoyed this interview. Such great energy and questions ☺️
A walking legend and a future legend both in the same room
Dustin Hoffman has aged so well . Love his authenticity . Fabulous actor too .
James Franco ("The Disaster Artist")
He didn't play in The Room, guys :)
Best one yet!
I literally love hearing James talk about The Room and Tommy. I love his perspective.
Franco is basically interviewing himself.
I felt like I was watching David Skylark
great interview
oh thanks youtube for that. I can sense appreciation and respect at each corner of this interview room
Captain James Hook 🥰
Franco needs his own talk show.
These two were paired for no other reason that they were both me tooed!!
Dustin still has it. He looks great!
James, be kind, do not interrupt people you admire!
Good talk, by the way!👌🏻🙏🏻👍🏻
I love James, so good! I mean god knows what they were talking about for half of that haha
OH MY GOD YES! I saw Meyorwitz last night and the disaster artist a couple days before!!! Love this
That was perfect.
This is the only one I could watch all the way through.
" This is the way I chose to survive"...that's the best way...love it...
Man two thespians having a ball geeking out. Franco is literally on cloud nine. Literally kid in a candy store.
"Why Him?" was inspired by Dustin Hoffman and Jonah Hill? lolol
GREAT Channel Thanks a Ton
Amazing actors ! Very cool
Lmao the description say James Franco ("The Room")
hahaha wonder if that was intentional...
I LMAO'd xXD
hahahha, he definitely became Tommy Wiseau
I love James Franco in The Deuce wish it never ended
Note to James Franco: watch the episode with Tom Hanks and Viola Davis and the manner in which they ask one another a question and actually allow them the opportunity to answer w/out interruption. Dustin Hoffman deserved better.
this was a conversation not an interview
That was fun. Two wild and crazy guys.
James Franco = HOT!! FUNNY GUY
The Disaster Artist, not The Room.
Love, love, love Dustin...and I like James too.
I'm 41 and I will never give up.
Now I feel ashamed that I’ve never seen The Room. I’ll watch it just so I can appreciate The Disaster Artist more.
Natalia Sikora Don't do it! In fact, I bet you can't. lol. I tried the other day. It's impossible to watch without skipping thru it. It's fucking terrible. But seemed like a typical softcore porn to me that I used to see in the mid 90s.
+Spooky Encounters its funny as fuck
CST Creepy funny maybe. I couldn't watch it. But yeah, it's funny as far as how terrible it is. But too terrible to be entertaining for me. But I love Seth and Francos movies, so I'll be watching that.
Anyway, how's your sexlife?
I really enjoy listening to James Franco tell stories
I love Hoffman's humor so much !
I feel like hugging Dustin Hoffman
Travolta and Mel Gibson would be interesting to watch.
haha! yes, not 'The Room', Variety! edit the description! Love these interviews; thanks a bunch:)
Could've watched this for another hour! Please do one with Idris Elba
great show by franco!
"Papillon" my favorite Hoffman flick
THESE TWO MAKE SENSE.....LIKE REALLY MAKE SENSE
James Franco ("The Disaster Artist") how could they get it wrong, have they seen it?
The whole concept of The disaster artist is amazing. I mean they have to make a movie where they need to act poorly. Wtf if people say the acting was bad, that's the whole point. Haha 😂
These are really fun!
James Franco will never stop wanting to break into that tommy accent
Another brilliant video, the pairing is always spot on it's so wicked. I hope that Morgan Freeman and Jach Nicholson are paired up and Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, that would be magic.
Variety you are really on to something here.
they've been doing these for ages...
I have just recently stumbled upon them and I find them highly entertaining.
I was watching Franco imdb page and it's well know he is a workaholic (and it's an understatement) and i saw he only directed 1 movie in 2015 (he usually have 5 projects/year as director) and then i checked his 2015 year as actor... 16 f... roles 16... this guy is nuts.
As comparison Franco have twice (150) the amount of movie of Hoffman (85) and 10 times more projects as producer under his belt in 3 to 4 less times.
Dustin Hoffman on ''David Skylark''
The Description is wrong about what film James is for.
Oh yeah, should be 'The Disaster Artist' but people keep saying 'The Room'!!
Am I the only one who feels like a torch has been passed?
Such a great human being Dustin Hoffman is. Franco is not even closer to his legacy for 1000 miles but he acts as if they are even. A true legend, one of the best yet!
Just what I needed
the description is wrong - it should say: Franco ("The Disaster Artist")
Two greats, da**!
Big fan.
Omg yesssss
James, don’t be so anxious. Allow Hoffman to finish!!!
James laughter sounds like he coughing so cute!!!
Note to Variety: You have all these amazing actors together in what could/ should be a terrific chat between them, but .... the environment must be too obtrusive, or the cameramen, lighting etc must get in the way as they generally all come over more awkward than necessary. Put them in a room together, set up the cameras on them .. then go out & leave them to it with a couple of glasses of wine/ pints of beer whatever & let them just TALK!!! Then edit, cut, whatever afterwards as you would probably have gold there.
I had a dream that you did this with Andy Samberg and Lena Heady so now that needs to happen right ?
The Description is incorrect. The movie James is in is “The Disaster Artist” based off “The Room”
How did James cure his sleepy eyes
I am at 21:20....and I am SO waiting for James to talk to Dustin about his triumph of a movie~ Little Big Man~ it is masterful! Watch it if you are a Hoffman fan~~ definitely his Best!
I bugs me that no one talks about this movie with Dustin in any interview I have seen~~ definitely a missed opportunity.
The description of the video reads "James Franco ('The Room')". *lol*
The movie he's made is called "The Disaster Artist". The Room wouldn't be THE Room WITH James Franco in it. ^^
(It's correct on the title card that is being shown during the video.)
Hardly a Dustin interview, James talks the whole time
I always fought with my friends saying that Dustin Hoffman was a legend at par with some of the greatest actors and he never got as much respect as Pacino or De Niro. I loved him in a lot of films but Kramer vs Kramer left me speechless. When I heard, Dustin was accused of sexual assault, it really hurt me. I hope he would come out innocent because I haven't been able to watch any film of him since then.
Rohit Kumar It's all allegations, it's hard to know what's true, what's not, what's been distorted, etc. It's dangerous to throw accusations like those, and some people have been lumped in with sociopaths such as Harvey Weinstein or Kevin Spacey.
Well, it's hard to judge a man just based on allegations alone -At least in my opinion. Until there are profound evidence, I'd say watch his movies nonetheless. It might as well have been a lady looking for attention...
Emmanuel Delpech you forget that Harvey's and Kevin's are also all allegations. What makes you believe those allegations but not this arseholes allegations?
j qui Harvey & Spacey have dozens upon dozens of accusations upon them. Dustin as far as I know, has one, that's the big difference. The gravity of the accusations against Weinstein (rape) and Spacey (Rapp story especially) is on another level as well.
j qui There's actually secretly recorded audio of Harvey Weinstein trying to get a young actress into his hotel room in quite a predator way, and she mentions how uncomfortable she was with what he did to her the time before. Grabbing her tit etc.... I think she had a recorder hidden in her brain. Either that or some hotel hallway cameras had sound on them too. I heard it yesterday
Too short! Could have listened to their conversation for another 2 hours...
William Saroyan is a great man
When Dustin said "1964 or 1965", Franco's face just read, 'you're so old' lmao
Franco, let the man talk!
I noticed that too he asks tons of questions and cuts him to ask another.
This was a very fast click
Skylark!
Dustin "I'm about to go down" Hoffman
Fuckkkkk this is a deadly combination.
Not sure why, but for some reason couldn't connect to anyone of James Franco roles, neither did to this interview with him, and it was with one of the greatest - Dustin Hoffman.
The perv interview
the talented actor interview you mean. Just because a girl says something about either guy does not make it true.
James Franco went full on Dave Skylark in this interview.
Oh, hai Dustin Hoffman.
Next Actors on Actors should be either;
Clint Eastwood and Mel Gibson
Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson
Tom Hanks and Bill Murray
Danny DeVito and Christopher Walken
Franco could take this opportunity to listen and learn instead he keeps cutting in and making it about him.
