  • The toronto Maple Leafs had their exits interviews today and Mitch Marner was asked about his future to which he said he was interested in signing an extension with the Leafs even though that would be a terrible decision from a business perspective, the problem is that it's in his hands since he has a NMC.... so we'll see what happens.

With Marner’s comment it just validated what a lot of us were thinking for some time now. Marner is that guy that never left the college good old days and refused to mature. He was just going along for the ride but when things got serious (playoffs) he didn’t have the mental maturity to handle the way the game changes. For the Leafs and for him it’s best to part ways. Maybe one day when he has matured he can come back but I’d be worried that physical he would be on the downside of his career😢

Unless the Leafs can get a lot, let’s not do a knee jerk move, Fire Brendan Shanahan, Keefe and all the other coaches first.

Remember when the leafs under another coach treated Marner so badly? Remember? Marner so bad for 6 or 7 seasons! You better look at his numbers! Toronto are doing EVERYTHING to place ALL OF THE BLAME on Marner! Remember how the Toronto organization treated their superstars like crap? Keon, The Big M, and after that Sittler, MaDonald? Remember? And what about Mathews? He’s got to be some kind of team poison! Toronto won 2 games without him and lost all 4 with him playing! He had 1 goal but everyone crying “Mathews was sick!” Ok then, what about every other year? Toronto consistently have a better won/loss record with Mathews out of the lineup! The numbers are there because he’s out a lot! This season he had 37 of 81 games ZERO GOALS! This means 69 goals in 44 games!! Toronto won games 5 and 6 without Mathews…why play him game 7?! Maybe if the playoffs were best of 11 games he would score back to back hat tricks to prop up his numbers. Toronto fans aren’t smart enough to realize that IT’T NOT MARNERS FAULT! HOCKEY IS A TEAM SPORT! AUSTIN MATHEWS IS POISON!
