We are next!! 🎉 So excited. I love this look. Would something like this be feasible to replace the retaining wall and old wooden stairs at the camp?
You certainly are! And yes, these blocks and steps would look sweet at the camp. 👌
I really am falling in love with that wall block and steps bud.
Right..? Such a nice look man 👌
that block is awesome. love it. Seems easy to work with and looks way better than anything I've seen in awhile.
Totally agree, very unique looking. And other than the full size block being very heavy, it is definitely an easy block to deal with. ✌
Video editing to fill time in winter is cool ... looks like you will just finish last summer fall work by the time spring hits into busy season
Yea man, it has been working out great the past couple years. Great way to stay busy in the winter months ✌
Looks so purty!
I would work with you guys for free. Pay me in knowledge and experience. Then I would use that knowledge and apply it to my house.
That is very humbling to hear brother, I'm glad you enjoy the videos and I appreciate the feedback!
Ditto and disc golf
love kubotas for that easy on easy off switching buckets
Totally agree. ✌
GREAT JOB LOOKS BEAUTIFUL
Thank you!
The big boys ! 😊😊👍👍
Yes sir! ✌
Awesome Job, I wouldn't expect anything less from you guys.... Ben sure has been very quiet the last few video's... hope he is doing ok.
Thank you, it was a cool one! I unfortunately just did not get much video of Ben on this one. He did a lot of hauling materials and was working on the steppers most of the time I built the wall. But he was doing fine other than his finger hurting from the hammer accident. ✌
Nce work as always...what an unusual front deck design - no support posts at the corners. Is that common up there?
It is actually built on top of the old concrete/brick stoop and designed to look like that. The customer did it himself and it is very sturdy. He has some finishing touches still to do but he did a good job building it ✌
Love the videos keep them coming 🤜🏻🔥
Thanks, Will do! ✌
Nice work as always
Thanks man!
Always quality work brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks, we try! 👍
I’m one town over from you. Would love to network with you sometime and just come by a job site and check out how you run the site! Love your work man
That's cool man, maybe we could make it happen someday. ✌
As a landscaper and mason, I avoid using landscape fabric and anything that puts plastic into the environment as much as I can. I've found cardboard to be good as a weed barrier at least and it decomposes into soil eventually
The job came out awesome I like that wall system. You should try to talk them into veneering the foundation walls at some point.
Thanks brother, I really like that block... And having that veneer on the foundation would be mint 👌
What pound hammers do you use? The small one and big one. ABC right? That project looks amazing
Yes sir, ABC Hammers. I have the 5.5lb and 9.5lb, love them! Thanks for the feedback ✌
Looks great fellas!
Wondering your thoughts on putting geo grid on top of your 3/4 then putting 1/4 chip stone down on top of the geo grid an inch or so thick and then placing the stepping stones on that instead of mortar?
Thank you! I don't think that method would be as good in my opinion. The small chip stone can still migrate through geo grid pretty easy. And these smaller type of stepping stones move pretty easily if you step on the edges... So the concrete really helps stabilize them and locks them in tight 👌
I’m from Pennsylvania Lititz. Guys, I really love your work and I wish to build a patio on backside of my house. Would you be able to come and work for me please?
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately that is a bit too much travel for me... I'm sure you can find a good local contractor, just take your time finding a good one 👌
Is this 3/4 washed or with stone dust. Does it matter with these steps vs pavers?
It is washed, no fine particles in it. There will always be some dust but 98% clean
😊😊❤❤
At what wall heights do you have to add a drain behind a wall ?
After 4' most states require an engineered plan which basically always include a perforated drainage pipe that weeps out the wall. But the need for a drain can depend on many different situations. If you are building in an area with high potential for water issues, you should always put a drain to help water drainage. But most situations around a residential setting, if the wall will only be getting water from a small area like this project, any water build up will just naturally permeate into the ground and backfill stone behind the wall. Anything else will weep through the joints of the block. A pipe popping out of the wall would be ugly and unnecessary
You post on any other platform?
I have a company Facebook page but I do not post very often... CZcams takes up most of my social media time. LOL
Looks great, but must be a bitch to clear snow?
Thanks, I don't think it would be too difficult... But these customers chose stepping stones to save money compared to pavers. They use their garage entrance 95% of the time and the front entrance is mainly for aesthetic purposes, which is why they chose the steppers ✌
