I got the same set up but my IGX800 is running a comet TW8040. The machine is a beast. Now, I don't see the point on lowering the psI just because you like the blue gun If you can use the proper one and get bought, low and high just with the swap of a tip. But now, after seeing this video, Had an idea similar to yours. I have a Honda GX630 and im buying a 8gpm pump but I'll run it around under 2000 psa. So I can alternate in-between for longevity. I don't now, just me thinking out loud.
Man thanks for this great info,I needed this kindergarten how to,for the options.
🤙
nice i just got hungry for BBQ chicken
😂
Thanks for the Tips 😎💯💯💯
Great Video Brother
I bought the K1 and a blue gun a long time ago and haven’t hooked it up yet. I just need some downtime where I want to swap out the unloader. I got a Davis shooter tip and an M5 at the same time. Obviously those two are plug n play and been very happy with that combo.
Can't beat the m5 or shooter!
Always great videos and information 👍🏻🇺🇸
Great content. I just ordered a WaterBoss 750-3/8 and using an adjustable unloader. The company that I got my upgraded pump from, went from a 4GPM to a 5.5GPM told me that I could certainly adjust the unloader with no issues and it isn't a K7 or anything. Also they post a PSI on these guns more for OSHA reasons and in reality the Blue gun can really operate at 5-10 times it's posted PSI, this is what I have been told. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks so much for the detailed explanation. I have a K7 and have been putting it through the ringer, I really like it. Thanks for the help.
Any time brother
Excellent video as always. The build sheets are good too guys. I have them all.
The liability waiver and the sales pitch are also a great insight from someone’s who has been going a few seasons, I won’t lie I copypasted the entire thing 🤣🤙🏻
Finally! Been so long dude 🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Waddup 🤙
@@YoungAmbitionYA i dont know if you remember, but i was the guy trying (and finally succeeding!) to get close to your 12v set-up on the side of the Atlantic that uses centimeters and euros 🤣 well, i finally got it! I even managed to get a hold of a jrod, st-510 guns made by some weird company in italy and a homemade proportioner!
Got doorhangers coming in soon, online presence all set up, been watching this dude called Young Ambition recently ‘cause he didn’t upload for weeks 🥸🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Your sales pitch and wash liability are really helpful, defo worth the 1/8 cup of coffee at today’s rate 🤣
Dude thats awesome glad you're getting what you need! Keep me in the loop
Good vid. Thanks! There's a flow sensitive made by General/P.A. called the PulsarZ and Pulsar Zero. It looks like a standard unloader with the knob on top. I just got one and it works just like the ZK7 you have. I bought the Blue gun from ToolBarn for 56 bucks last night. Keep on keeping on ✌🙏
I'm with you. $100 per season is chump change if it increases efficiency or even if it's just what you prefer. Could always mount 2 seperate unloaders remotely, set one up for wash down and the other for pressure and have a wip line or 3way valve between the pump and loaders to select which one you want for that job or task in the job.
Great idea 💡 !
Are you related to wernher von Braun ?
I bet you are ✊
Hell yeah
Where did you get your electric motorized bypass valve from? Was it a kit or did you have to buy the remote transmitter and receiver separately?
Great video one day I'll up grade to what you have I'm still on a 12 volt and takes forever to do a house but just wondering instead of adjusting your unloaded for the different guns would it be better to have two unloaders one set for the blue gun and one set to the higher psi and using a wip line from your pump to the unloader and using a quick coupler to hook up to k7 of choice
I'm sure you could do that
Awesome video. Pay attention peeps. This is real world info
Thanks for watching!
Is there a reason you shut off ball valve with the k7 if theres no pressure off the trigger
just extra precaution
Ive seen a few of your videos.. this one explains it better than the other one .
You should put that in the title. Newbies that have no idea what your talking about will just buy one and hook it up and go
I’ve heard people say “you can’t do this” or “you can’t do that”. But I still haven’t heard of any major accidents involving those Wash down guns. I bet guys have even used them with regular unloaders
I heard that also
No issues so far. It's a good tool
what softwash pump would you recommend for someone thats just starting
the blue wash down gun is set rated to 350 cause it has no interchangeable tips and guns like the other one needs to have a lance put on it so its far away from you so you don't hurt yourself or cut a finger off and that's why its rated for 4000 or 5000 psi that's the difference
Good to know!
The Blue Gun - If you are putting 2000psi into a 50' 3/8" hose the psi at 50' would be 1985psi, 1880psi at 100' and 1522 at 200'. If you reduce the pressure to 1000psi the psi at 100' would be 880psi, at 200' 522psi. 1380psi at 100' at 1500psi from the pump. If the flow did not decrease from 8gpm at 1500psi x 100' x.375"ID your flow would be 6gpm. I would not worry about the construction of the blue gun. It was made to last for years unlike most of the PW guns available today.
What diameter is the vacuum line going to your washer inlet. What size Barb is the brass barb, where did you get it.
The inlet to the pump is 5/8. I bought the barb "inlet king" at 1.5"
@@YoungAmbitionYA that what that is. I’ve been wondering where ppl have been getting that abnormal barb combo
You get like 350 psi with the M5 twist of you get up to 1000 psi your downstreamer won’t pull and it cuts off the venturi
Hey what's up. I have a psi gauge coming off my pump and it reads about 2000 psi when I pull the trigger with the M5. Haven't had it at the end of the hose in awhile but I know with friction loss it's going to be less than the 2000psi by the pump. I'll have to guage by the gun again soon. Never had an issue with pulling though, only when adding too much hose
@@YoungAmbitionYA yeah I was under the impression that when you adjust the spray pattern the psi stays the same. I’ll have to seal my pressure gauge back up. It’s leaking a little bit. I noticed when I set one of my unloaders last week. When I do, I’ll have to put it at the gun and do a little testing as well and try to get a video. I would think the pressure is going to stay the same because the actual orifice the water is getting released from stays the same. I think of an Xjet the same as an above ground sprinkler. It has a hole the water shoots out and to change the spray pattern you just crank down a screw. That’s a little ways out from the water stream, and that interrupts the stream and spreads it out. I don’t know if that makes sense but I’ve pulled a few of them apart and that’s basically what it is. To me just based on all the other testing I’ve done it seems to be somewhere in that 350 to 500 psi range. My unloader spikes at like 3700 on my one 8.5 and the other 8.5 spikes at about 3250 give or take. I run the trap pressure unloaders never tried the k7. I’ll see if I can get a video when I get that gauge fixed and I’ll post it in the comments here. I have an Ashcroft gauge that I had custom-made and it gives you a digital reading so you get the exact psi and that will tell the tail but it is interesting. I will say I just bought two of the davis shooter tips in titanium because everyone raved about them but I can say for sure that the original shooter tip shoots a lot further and it doesn’t mist as much. Then my modified original shooter tip, where I changed the water collection point slightly, but kept everything else, including the actual orifice the same still dominates both. The bore on all the shooter tips that are sold are not made correctly and then beyond that some of them like the Davis has a little bit too small of a hole and it’s too long in length and that aerates the water. See you lose distance, punch, and it creates a mist so you can’t see anything either.
Very nice, ill keep an eye out for the vid. And I agree I've never been impressed with the shooter tips. I have a Davis and an assassin and they both meh
@@YoungAmbitionYA the assassin nozzle was my first shooter tip. I thought that one was about the worst and I don’t think I hear even used it much at all before hacking it up at the machine shop. I would recommend the origional shooter tip by guy blackmon. It really does perform quite well imo.
What will cause problems with the wash down gun is when the psi spikes on the pressure washer when you let the trigger go, while you the trigger pulled theres no issue. I was a guy on here that has a plastic attached in-front of the trigger that doesn’t let the gun shut off and spike the psi. He uses the ball valve to cut the gun off and on,if you like the wash down gun, thats the way to go, no need to mess with the unloader and it keeps you safe.
czcams.com/video/u6tdtvJ5SaY/video.html
Yes the ball valve can be safer
Ever try the MTM Hydro gun for houses?
If so what's the performance difference between it and the orange ST-2305?
I never have tried that one
Adjusting the unloader will not shorten the life of the unloader. It's made to be Adjusted to get the desired pressure you need. I work on big vac pumps and they always Adjust the unloader for proper pressure.
🤙😎
😎🤙
I watched this video like 4 times! haha. So ... Basically you are using this K7 unloader to reduce the pressure and its acting like a gas powered softwash system? Like comet or AR pump. But when you need 2000 PSI (pressure washer) you just crank it up. So, getting one of these would pretty much eliminate the need for a softwash system then? The only difference I can see is if we needed to 12 volt and batch mix to shoot 6 or 7 % for a roof. Is this right? BTW THANK YOU for all your videos. So good. Your speed is amazing being able to do 5 houses a day. Incredible. I want this system so much. Can hardly wait for the day I get to do it.
Sup Mike. Exactly! Yes a downstream system will get 2% max so if you need to do roofs I'd still keep a 12v option. My truck has both
Everyone's always crying about money for equipment, or even better says I could build that whole rig for $200
🤣
Hey, I've tried purchasing your PITCH SHEET and haven't received it. I also tried the CONTACT SELLER tab and sent a message, but haven't received a response yet. I know you're busy, we all are, but I sent this out this weekend and was hoping to hear back at least today. Thank you in advance.
Hey sorry email lakegeorgeshingleshine@gmail.com
How far does the blue gun shoot with that setup
Well over 2 stories. I've never measured it but I've hit peaks on homes that are 2 stories in the front and 3 out the back. Never found something I can't reach
Love it man. I literally just set up 8gpm with K-7 and I have the blue gun and 2-55 Gallon tanks. I have a very similar set up. Holoi Solutions Cleaning. Give me a like if you have a minute. I’m from New England, in Hawaii now. But we speak the same language man, Maple Syrup. Thanks for the content. 🤘🏼🤙🏻
Awesome bro! 👌
Hi, new to this chat. So does the pump not mind what you set the unloader pressure to? Like if the pump says 8.5gpm 2900psi but you’ve turned down the unloader - it doesn’t harm the pump?
Changing the settings on your unloader does not affect the pump. Unloaders are meant to be adjusted for optimal results
@@YoungAmbitionYA groovy thanks.
So what’s point of having a pump rated for a certain performance? Other than gpm
Because if you run equipment or do jobs that require 3800 psi, 4500 psi or 6000 psi you need a pump that can reach it
@@YoungAmbitionYA right, so anything less is fine?
Sorry you have to dumb it down so much.
I have an adjustable unloader but not a K7/1 - does it need to be flow actuated for this to work?
That's only to use the blue gun
💪🏼😂👉🏼
🤙
The American Flag isn’t a table cloth, If you’re going to display it, show it some respect.
Why do little girls get offended so easily?
Somebody needs to teach you to respect the flag.
Somebody needs to teach you not to whine like a little b*tch
Have more respect for our American 🇺🇸 Flag !!!
You have no idea. Grow up
Great video, but keep your crap off my flag.
