Ma'am I didn't sign the legal employment document which is made up from stamp papers, I said to the employer kindly please provide me copy of this bond documents so I get it checked by my lawyer, and they denied to handle or give copy of those documents to me. I think why they are not providing even xerox or photocopy of those bond documents of my name, I want those contract to be reviewed by my lawyer before signing it. Is it my right to ask for copy or e copy of bond documents before signing it ?

You are very compact and crisp in your advices with no bs in between. I could just binge watch all your videos like a tv series because its so informative. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I've come across certain companies that ask for a bond for even experienced people, even for 10+ years experience people. And no, it's not about any training or any expense spent on the employee. It's all about bonded labour or forced loyalty kind of thing such employers expect from the candidates. I suggest that candidates make a thorough research of the company, try to connect to a few people who are currently working there for atleast 6 months, before taking a decision to sign a bond and join. No matter even if you're in a desperate financial situation

Govt must take some strict actions against private sector companies/schools..because I also faced such a situation where I went for interview in school, they asked me to submit my originals for 3 months, n no training period, because I m already trained.. Like seriously.. I just said no inspite of being in dire need of job.. I said can't submit my originals to anybody, sorry!
Private sector employees need to protest.. Because these same companies who treat their employees very well in foreign, they treat employees in india like s,,!

I've started working for client after 2mos training, i asked my offer letter/joining letter. company mangar said you go and work with client and we will send u j offer letter.
without offer letter i started working.
after 6months they sent offer letter and asked to to sign. i noticed that they kept 3 years of bond, if we break then need to pay 3lakh.
so i didn't signed and said change this, initially you said no bond and now you saying 3 years.
it's been 1 year they still not updated and i have not signed bond. but i have worked with client 1 year.

    Hi Cooperate Diaries team,
could you please help me by answering small quires? i have one question regarding the notice period. Recently , I got one offer in of the reputed organization and immediately i resigned in my current employer on time. But, there is no happy for that because my current employer is not releveling me even i am serving notice period 60 days completely and my manager has extended my notice period to 15 days more for unnecessary reason. I am contract to hire for one of Big MNC company through consultancy. I dint know where it got mistake to inform about my resignation to my reporting manager by parent company. Manager simply saying that i didn't received any information about your resignation from your parent company so, your notice period will count when i received from your parent company. It will not count when you resigned on day. I was in a situation that I am suffering between two companies about my reliving and I have promised my DOJ to my next organization already.
Please let me know below quires:
    1. is notice extension possible anywise in IT industry even serving complete notice period?
    2. is there any possible of extension DOJ in my new organization by requesting them?
    3. how to handle this situation even i didn't do any mistake from my side from starting of my resignation process ?

    • @theCorporateDiaries
      @theCorporateDiaries  Před 2 lety +1

Dear, here are your answers :
      1. No, companies have no right to extend the relieving beyond notice period time, in your case your manager is playing on the name of "parent company" because ideally you should have sent resignation to both companies on Same day, but it's not a big deal, your manager is just trying to make you feel miserable..
      2. Yes, absolutely you can request an extension of 15 days from your next company, show them some proof(email etc.) where your current manager is not ready to release you even after 60 days, and tell them that if you leave without proper exit, you will not get your experience letter... They will understand don't worry, 15 days is not a big deal, it happens all the time.
      3. The way to handle this is, be calm and professional at your current job as you would need a proper closure so that you can get experience letter and request your next company to extend the DOJ by 15days..
It's really sad that some people just use their position to make others feel miserable... Don't worry, you are not alone, these kind of mangers are found everywhere, just talk to your next company... They will consider it... All the best, hope you get out of it soon...

@@theCorporateDiaries Thank you very much for quick response and it helped a lot. i got some clarity on this and will ask again my parent company to release on date(its all based on my reporting manager in client side) other wise I will ask new organization to extend my joining date for 15 days.
one last query, in how many days do i need to contact my next organization for asking advance dates? actually i have completed 1 month of notice period and 29 days left to join in the organization.
shall i ask now or prior to 10 days of DOJ?Please advise!

Yeah, I would not be that much against it. I had joined TCS and TCS does make you sign a bond if you are a fresher. The bond was for Rs. 50k, which is a little less than they pay for the two-month training, so it made sense (If you are not gonna work for us, return the salary we paid you in those months). The bond was for two years. I understood what it was, I worked there for three and a half years before moving on. I would not consider my experience terrible in TCS it is quite easy to stand out. But of course, they should never do this underhanded tactic of holding one's documents. You have to see if their demands are reasonable.

Our Govt should crack down on such employers adopting arm-twisting tactics in the first place. Instead, they should focus on things that will motivate employees to continue for long. Although it's not accepted and signed at gun-point, someone under predicament is bound to sign for survival. It seems the job scenario is getting transformed into a bonded/slavery like situation like it existed there in the past.

Dear, I don't know why you said "failed", you have good percentile plus great attitude of dedication and hard work, with this score you can get admission in many engineering colleges, not the top most, but still good enough.. and from day one start working on your skills, that way you will get placements plus you can get great off campus jobs as well, there is very less competition in off campus for people who are good technically.. this way your parents will be happy too as you are not dropping out one more year..
Now to answer your question of gap: Yes it true that most companies who visit campus doesn't allow much gap.

Hello Mam', with all due respect I think you are misguiding the youth here. I worked with TCS, and I had signed a bond for 2 years like all other freshers. But the culture and learning was amazing. It is not like they have bad culture or have some issues that is why they are asking to sign a bond. They are simply asking freshers to sign a bond because they are investing huge money and time on freshers and they need to recoup their investment. No company work as a charity. Because of the learning I had in TCS, I could later get a job with huge salary and was much ahead than other classmates. These classmates were waiting for 2 years for "perfect" job which they never got.
Please understand that in a career span of 30 years, 2 years is nothing. You are asking youth to miss out on some great opportunities even before they are starting their career.

I think it's high time companies understand the employee's terms and do not dominate them to work under bond terms. I agree that it's done for the welfare of the company security but come on, if you gonna get the bonds and then exploit that employee with shifts and over time while giving toxic environment how is that beneficial to the employee? And what is that an indirect punishment into the cocoon of saying that this is your training period? And which company provides you with the facility evaluation before joining them? As saying o please feel free to see our toxic environment or our managers. Companies' loss is a privilege but the employee's mental health loss and physical fatigue aren't ever considered a loss? I feel you should be more liberal with the employee rights as well while speaking/saying that nobody told you to sign the bond on gunpoint. We all are aware that today's generation as well as the people in India are facing job issues. Alot of unemployment has been seen. What source do you think every person has other than joining some firm or starting their own business? Do you really feel that the person from such toxic environment is happy enough to work just to get their monthly salary? Everyone needs money to survive. Govt and companies know this fact. Hence the exploitation has been done from ages. Do you even know why most of the youth who are at least capable enough to stand out financially and have support from their families are opening their own businesses. And why just bcoz of the nonsense policy companies are claiming in their subsidized way that this all is the social security aspects provided to the employees. That's crap !

You can start in these fields if you are from IIMs and once you are 3 yrs exp in project management then apply for PMP certification to be a Project Manager...
Rest of the 2 needs lot of exp.

Dear Vijay, it should not be a problem to the person who referred.. because reference doesn't mean any guarantee of performance or stay.. so do not worry and even if someone asks you, just say no one can guarantee a person's future plans..

Bond is including notice period or excluding notice period madam?

That depends on the T&C that the company has set, most companies treat it excluding notice.

    Hi Madam,
I have signed bond of three times of my CTC while accepting offer of front organization.
But now don't want to join this organization (My current organization is not leaving me).
    So I protect prior actions

    • @theCorporateDiaries
      @theCorporateDiaries  Před 2 lety +1

Dear, if you do not want to join, then please do'n't Ideally such offers are a trap, a bond of 3XCTC is such a indicator that company do not have good culture, otherwise they do not need these much bonds.. Just send them an email saying you can't join.
Anyways, the bond starts only when you join.. so do not worry.

That's a good observation Govind, the whole purpose of this video is to align the mindset, my older video was to help and ease people who are stuck in this bond situation, but people started taking things casually thinking its okay to sign bond casually, anyway we have a way out... this is not a correct approach... even if companies are wrong at their part, we should be responsible in decision making..
