The Nick mastery property allows you to make the additional attack you receive from wielding two Light weapons as part of the initial attack action.
Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean you can make a third attack as a Bonus Action, as the Light property specifies you only get one extra attack."
From what I understand, as a lvl 5 Champion fighter with the Telekinetic Feat I should be able to attempt a Shove as a bonus action, then take the Attack action to make a Shortsword attack with one hand, then make two dagger attacks due to the Nick property. All attacks would have advantage on a successful shove; one dagger attack would still be made with advantage - all great due to a higher crit chance. 👍

I think one of the key flaws in D&D combat is how often it is correct to stay put when in a fight; to just stay in melee range of the one enemy you're fighting until they're dead (and this goes for enemy creatures too). There's little to no motivation to move away from enemies in order to pursue other ones unless a friend really needs help. I like that the Fighter now has an ability that allows them to move out of combat range of an enemy without provoking AoO, because it makes the decision to actually move around the field more likely.

True Strike is still trash, losing one of your attacks to give an attack on the next turn advantage is a waste of a cantrip slot.

Monsters are the DM's characters, so I genuinely hope they are putting a lot of effort into making each of them something exciting for a DM to use, and the players to fight.

I don't really like his statement about there being a whole array of players who aren't that interested in playing Battlemaster, hence why they scrapped the idea of merging it with the base class.
I for one am usually uninterested in Battlemaster and usually go with other classes... but it's not because I hate the Battlemaster. It's because the fantasy of battlemaster is so basic compared to so many other more flavorful subclasses. I've played 3rd party fighters before which merge the battlemaster with the base fighter, and I gladly use the features there while also enjoying the much richer flavor that other subclasses give me.
