    Exactly, let's just see what he can get them to do. Accountability is something the senators need.

    If the Sens are still in the playoff race after the first 14 games of the regular season it would be an improvement from last season.

    I’m feeling much better about him. I actually found myself feeling massively sorry for him, has to hurt getting slammed like that before you even come to the city. Let’s hope they bring in some solid assistants, Todd Rierden would be solid. Bottom line is the players want to win, and so does Green, he is going to prove everyone wrong.

    How can u be a winning coach without been given a chance to win. We have a great team just need a stronger blue line and a reliable goalie. Can wait till September because Summer is awesome but Go Sens Go.

    Guy Boucher said very similar things in his introductory press conference and Guy is a trained sports psychologist so that was impressive to hear from Green. The issue isn't with what he says. It is about what this hire symbolizes. Green is a development coach, which is great because the Sens need that. But do they need 4 years of that? The Sens need to start winning sooner rather than later. The Sens will have to make the playoffs next season for them to really get the ball rolling towards higher levels of success. Green has not proven that he can do that on any level higher than juniors, which is similar to what DJ Smith brought when he was hired. It's great that he seems hungry and passionate but that's the minimum that one should expect from someone who was just hired. This signing of four years goes beyond wait and see, and Green has demonstrated nothing to deserve that except some great interviews.

    Green's got a great mullet on his Hockey DB webpage! I say give him an opportunity, and not just because of the mullet. Also, I'm interested to see who the Sens take in the draft at #7, and what other moves the team will make with the roster over the summer. It can only get better from here. Go Sens Go!!

    Sens are making me become bipolar! 😂 I don’t know Green, hopefully it’s a good hire. But I feel like this was the 1st time management could show the fans they will put their stamp of changes on this team, and they chose a coach with a losing record. I was disappointed when I heard the news, as we’ve all been disappointed with the last 7 years. After hearing him talk, he talks good and all, so a little more hopeful. But will we see the results on the ice? We’ll see next November if we’re already out of the playoffs race!

    Wally, you can’t lump the Tarasenko NTC and trade into a mis-step. Their hands were tied….again.
    And, Staios said they were active at the deadline but couldn’t get something done. What’s to say that won’t happen again over the summer? It takes two to tango. Let’s hope a free agent or two decides to sign here and a deal or two to improve the team happens.

      @TheTetsuHai Před 29 dny

      Nah, I would have got more than a 5th or I'm not moving him at all. We need to stop being nice, it doesn't attract players, we are still last on the list of every single player simply because of our location taxes and history of terrible ownership (most hockey players probably still think Ottawa is a tire fire and don't even know the team was sold)

    I was very disappointed with the choice. Felt it was a lateral move from DJ. Berube would have been nice but a coach with Stanley cups was not a requirement for me. Personally Dean Evason was my choice. But for what ever reason that didn't happen. I am over it and we will see how Green does.
    I will say this, IMO, Staios has put a bigger target on himself with the Green hiring. So if Green fails, Staios has to pay the price for failure. We expect that from Andlauer.

    • @user-md3ij9oc9q
