I had a Tracker and it gave me one of my best car stories. Mine was rough, just seats and a dashboard inside, no carpet no door panels. Obviously you couldn't really lock it because of the top, but the ignition was also broken and i just had a screwdriver to start it. One morning I came out of my apartment building and it was gone. I went in and asked my wife (now ex) if she borrowed it to someone. Nope. Just gone. I had recently had my Impreza stolen from the transmission shop, so I figured I wasn't going to see it again. About 12 hours later I walked out to the parking lot, and it was in my parking spot. Went and looked in it, they had completely cleaned it out, and all my stuff was in the back seat. Turned the screwdriver, the gas tank was completely full. Never did find out who took it.

Mine was a 1982 Datsun 280zx. I was in the process of doing a turbo engine swap on it but I couldn't get it running correctly and my landlord gave me an ultimatum. Either get rid of the car or pay a fine . So I sold the car. I got my asking price for it as I mostly sold it for the price of the engine. This was back in 2015. Now I've had a few other car since then and they never tickled me the same. Eventually I found a gold 1981 280zx and I quickly scooped that up. It definitely has a better body but it has the wrong cylinder head on it so its much slower than it's supposed to be but I'll get that fixed. Point is, I'm back in one of my dream cars. Only other car I kinda regret selling was a 1985 Chevy caprice wagon. I do miss how it drove and how that edlbrock sounded when you floored it but it's not one I'm broken hearted over

I’ve been looking for my “one that got away “ for a decade now
    A 1988 vw fox wagon.
Mine was dark blue , tinted all around , lowered and on gti wheels wrapped in Dunlop d40 m2’s with a serious sound system ( Cerwyn Vega 15’s ).
My mom had to drive it one day , wrote it off and then there was fire 🔥,
Hopefully one day I find one.

For a few years I had a hard top Tracker with a small lift & Wrangler tires. I bought that way and wanted to put a VW diesel in it but just didn't have the time or money. But damn that thing was fun to drive. Got sucked into a deep snowy ditch once and it drove out just fine.

I had a 1994 Tracker ... I worked for a Chevy dealer at the time, so of course I got suburban badges for the back and the bowtie 1/2 ton 1500 logos for the sides. Take two suburban badges, cut the "sub" off one, stick 'em on the back and you too can have the Urban Suburban like I did :D

Mine was a 92 ford ranger Reg cab short bed 2wd, I had done a 302 V8 swap, narrowed 9” rear 4:11 POSI, I did the swap in 96 and ran all over town beating up on mustangs, Camaros and vettes. It was an awesome summer ride, but in the winter as my daily driver it went every which way but straight. In fall of 97 I sold the truck and bought a new Z71. I wish I still had that little truck. Maybe one day I’ll buy another and rebuild a clone.

When I was in high school I used to own a 1990 Geo tracker black on black with a five speed and American racing rims on it. I've had two close calls in the years of driving it both could have killed me but it's funny I've been keeping an eye out to buy one also.

The Yellow Geo Tracker was my first car back in high school. Black soft top, automatic, I think it was a 93. Had people yell at me at stop lights all the time as well. Dude in Cinci just hollered hey Bumble Bee hey Bumble Bee, then gave me his a burt cd with him rapping horribly on it haha. I would have been so jealous of your speaker set up then. And I'm jealous that you have this one now haha. Guess I'm going to have to go on the hunt.

I had a 300ZX Twin turbo in college (bought it used myself). I loved that car and may have made some bad decisions in it, but I loved it. I would love to get another one and relive those days. I had to sell it after college because I needed a more practical car for commuting and my left foot was getting tired of sitting on a clutch in Houston traffic.

I had always wanted one since then so when I found what I thought was a good deal I had no choice but to fly 500 miles away from where I live and road trip home in my new 1991 geo tracker. 230k miles on the clock and it still runs like a champ. I sure am proud of that little thing

I had two that got away. The first was a 1960 Chevrolet Nomad wagon. Yes, the famous collectable is 1955 through 1957, but they still made the Nomad in 1960. I had a crazy hippy girlfriend in the mid-1970s and it was good times. The second was a 1979 limited edition Smokey and the Bandit Pontiac Trans Am, one of 500 made that year, matching numbers, black with the gold screamin' eagle on the hood, and T-tops.

I just seen a busted up green geo metro that had a grip of rust, an aftermarket sun roof, a doughnut for a rear wheel, leaning hard with body twist, every panel bashed, grimy windows, torn and nasty interior, blowing smoke from the exhaust, a couple of crack heads inside... no joke! I was for real amazed and was melancholic with thoughts of an actual 3 cylinder Geo in traffic, in 2023, on the road. I kind of want one to slap a Hayabusa swap into it.

For me it was a 93 xr7 v6 auto Mercury cougar teal green over tan interior with 60k miles. Purchased in late 96 kbb for $13.5 paid a grand sum of $8.5k. It out ran a few from lights but very few stayed close when turns happened. Sadly it lived a short 6 months with me before I launched it over a hill at 120+mph. I am not a religious person but thank God only one leg and one nose was broken between the four of us in the car

I was a Suzuki auto tech at a Suzuki dealer from 1990-1997, Of course the GEO Tracker is a Suzuki Sidekick with a different name, the Sidekick/Tracker came to the USA in 1989, it was preceded by the Suzuki Samurai which came to the USA in 1985, 2 TOTALLY different vehicles, as he was saying, the body panels and interior bits were flimsy but held up pretty well, the drivetrain reliability though was up there with Honda and Toyota.
