“Price just went down” fucking love this guy 😂
After regrettably selling my first tracker, I have finally returned to this video before going to see my potential second tracker. Absolutely love these cars, thank you for your service in the suzuki community Tony

WEEEEENNNTTTT
DOOOOOWWWWNN 🤣🤣🤣🤣
⬇⬇⬇😂
I have no idea why I’m so intrigued by geo trackers, but I really want one 😂
It's a vehicle you have to drive to truly appreciate. Then you buy multiple of them!
"People ride around with no top on, let that carpet get soaking wet and sit there for a month or 2"
I feel attacked!! 🤣😅
nobody likes a damp rug 🤷🤣
Bahaha love it .... mine is sitting in yard wet right now.....
Shots fired.
Take care of your shit!😂
Mine has been sitting in a field for 7 years with no windows and it's fine.
First things I look for 1. 4x4 2. manual trans
That’s what I have. Manual 4X4 Tin roof. Love it.
I like the autos on these
That laugh at the beginning has me on the floor 😅😅😅
Everything he mentioned my tracker had lol I just welded the whole fucking thing back together
🤣🤣🤣
Basado and weldpilled
I'm looking at one of these tomorrow that have a stripped interior, the guy used it as a hunter rig and it is (relatively) cheap. Thanks for giving me ideas on what to look for!
Goodluck on your purchase!
This is like the best CZcams video I've seen in weeks on any subject.
Glad you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching!
There are some more areas to look for corrosion:
The body is mounted to the frame at 8 points. The mounting points at the very front under the head lights are okay most of the times, so are the mounting points at the very back.
But the mounting points located ca. under the pedals and on the passenger side are rusted very often.
The other mounting points are located in front of the rear wheels. These are rusted almost on every Sidekick/Tracker/Vitara/Escudo.
This guy is sick and he knows what he’s talking about!
Hell yeah! 🤘
I trust this dude he puts off the best vibes fr
i love this dudes energy
just got a 92 tracker for 2500 canadian your website and videos are awesome!!!
Congrats on the Tracker!
I didn't know what to expect in the first two seconds but boy this guy is awesome. V entertaining and informative, thank you!
HaHa! Glad you enjoyed - Thanks for watching!
Street legal side by side. Mine's a 1990. Manuel shift. Manual hubs. Red/black.
Very capiable off road (stock). Reliable as hell but easy to fix any issues out there if you need.
Gets down those tight trails without all the extra pin striping.
Best in town runabout for fuel, parking, ... and climbing the odd curb.
Removable top is cool. I always leave my hard shell (rear & driver sections) sections on then cruise with the driver/passenger section either on or off on a whim. This piece slips in behind either set of seats easily.
I use my big pickup for the big stuff and use this little guy for all the rest.
Always get offers to sell it ... monthly if not weekly at times ... kinda says it all.
Great video👍🏻
damn just started looking into buying one this is super useful thank you
Can’t wait for the key way video! Been wanting to check mine for a while and will always take your guidance!

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It is very good info with good content this video helped me buy a 95 tropical green tracker 🤟
Great to hear the video was helpful!
I bought a 1990 hardtop. It was awesome.
"would you look at that" 😁 another Ed Bassmaster fan here.
Thanks for the video
I like it when the price goes down
Great vid. You're a top presenter too! Hi from Oz.
My rockers were gaping open, I filled them with spray foam and actualy put the plastic trim on. Bashed them on some stumps, solid as hell. You also gotta check the rear body mounts in front of the back tire too. 8v valve cover gaskets leak when old. The rear speakers were rotten on both of my trackers.
Great video thanks
You remind me of my Uncle Mike, anyway I am about to buy
First we get the money, then the power, then the respect!
price just went down. Love it.
This dude is awesome
This video is awesome
Just bought one of these, price just went up bud. She's mint!
Thanks, Julian. Say 'Hi' to Ricky and Bubbles for me, will ya?
In all seriousness though, that was an extremely informative video. Thanks for taking the time and effort to do all that, my dude.
This video made me laugh every single time he said "Price just went down" 😆
🤣 price just went ⬇️⬇️⬇️
I watched this and it helped me to get a better deal on the tracker I bought today. Great video!
Ahhhyeahh! Congrats on the new Tracker!
I might get one for my first car someday hopefully
My very first car was a purple 95 geo tracker back in 2007. My girlfriend now wife called it a Barbie car, but she still married me so a wins a win lol. Miss that car
Proud to be a wisconsinite after watching this lol
Your local Kwik Trip approves of this comment! 😁
Well I tell ya what, I'm just gonna look right at it! 👌
you forgot the most rust prone section of these vehicles. The rear section where the plastic bumper meets the metal panel and that section of the rear wheel well just slightly back of 90 degrees. That section tends to rust right out and looks just fine from the outside.
Same thing with the front bumper where it meets the fender.
i NEED A 1996 06 BACK DOOR
Wish I had this available to me before I bought mine! All the tricks! Thanks again Tony!
Happy to help!
I love it!
Dam this thing is clean 😎
Ive got a 2004 chevy tracker 4 door hard top v6. Almost rust free from California.
If you are looking at an 8valve(samurai same deal) check the #4 cylinder compression, they like to burn the exhaust valve! I haven't seen a sidekick or tracker with crank windows that work well! Just take the doors off to fix that! Also if you put the 2" body lift and you wheel it hard, don't be surprised if all 8 body studs rip out(ask me how I know) but you can just weld in plates and then put bolts thru.
Man is right, i bought a geo tracker beautifully modified 3inch lift 32x tires, didnt check it properly it was rotten away, i work 3 yrs to weld out on my free time
check under the rubber of the door seal at the top of the windows. Those are notorious for rusting right out
you are a god among men for making this video
Happy to help out!
Oh man im looking at a geo tracker! Guy wants 1500 for it. Red soft top stick shift. Outside looked great but haven't done a full inspection. Are the engines reliable? Doubt it has rust being down here in texas but will test the sideskirts and see if rust falls lol. Thanks for your tips.
Was hoping for more hidden High Lifes. :P
New to this group. Where's a good place to start on vids and lit?
Legendary
I sheet metal screwed the tin 'floor pan' in mine and the fuel tank is held up with cam straps over the frame as the front mounts are gone. You did forget to mention the fuel filler tube, where the body fastens to it. The rear wheel throws crap up and it just sits there.
Thanks !
Thanks for watching!
Switch that beer for a whiskey and it’s Julian from trailer park boys 🤙
Million thanks Tony this video it’s super helpful, but can anyone tell me if it’s legal to drive this vehicle in the state of Florida?
Thuu it s video makes me really confident with my 1000$ geo it’s 5spd and 4wd and has no rust in any of these places
Great purchase as that price!
Say hello to
My little friend!!! Nice shirt
Omg!! Your hilarious ! I just found a tracker near me. Shit .. It is probably junk. Is the car your reviewing for sale? Thanks Man, your video probably saved me some cold hard cash
Good info! Anything else to look out for on 4 door models or the 4 speed auto transmissions?
The 4 door models have basically the same things to look for. They usually hold up a little better on floor board rust because there is no soft top to leak and also no soft top trim pieces to worry about. For auto trans you will want to check fluid when car is warm, trans in neutral . Look for oil level and color and smell. Nice red color with no burning smell is what you are looking for.
merci encore Tonny
They like to rust in the firewall and where the bonnet hinges are as well… as well as the front pillars and in the door hinges to the point where the doors will fall off… and in the boot under the bracket that screws over the carpet too … and on the hardtop ones they rust from the inside out where the window washer is just above the back door because washer fluid gets trapping in the top sill and cant get out
Thanks for the video. I'm in the market for a 2dr tracker to play with in the woods and be a backup commuter car. Any advice on choosing a 5 spd manual or the 3spd auto transmission? One concern is I want to be able to drive 75mph with a bigger tire, maybe 30" or 31". Is this possible with either transmission? I dont know if the auto is going to be a dog. The manuals seem to be harder to find here.
Also, my family is from wisconsin, they brush their teeth with Miller High Life lmao!
4:30 Sets down beer in engine, next to other beer already in engine. Price just went up!
Ahhhhyeaahhhhhh! 🍻😎
Great video.....looking at a 95
Good luck on purchasing a Geo Tracker! They're awesome vehicles
Meeeettttaaalllll soft top trim!!!
Yes! 🤘
Hwy83 SUZUKI sweeeeeet. I’m ready. Give us a tentative release date!
I will buy it if it comes with you!
first place I look is at body mounts in front of rear wheels and then the body mounts behind front wheels. Those rot easy like their rockers and rear seatbelt bolt. Not as easy to fix though.
Got a 92, had if for 10 years all california miles and the only rust I have is under the driver side tail light😎
BadAss! Keep her clean 😁
I’m getting ready to buy my moms old tracker, I’m probably going to pick your brain a lot lol hope you don’t mind
I just bought one....its a rough one, dudes been using it to go hunting..but it has title and solid frame.....hopefully it does me right.
Enjoy the new Tracker 👍🍻
This guy is great. High Life is the shit too lol
Ahhhhyeaahhhhhh! 🍻
it's Miller Time inside that engine lol
#MillerTime 🍻😁👍🏼
The worst rust spots I have found on the vitaras is under front guards at bottom of windows and stuff
aahh will you look at that, lol. Great vid, thumbs up
Just look at it! 😂
Being in Colorado with all the road salt in the winter you really see cars age after awhile.
If my geo tracker engine sprayed oil on the inside of my hood is that my valve cover gasket??? Price just went down?!?! Also I am highly interested in those metal soft top brackets you mentioned you were going to post a video on... very good video on this one!
If it is spraying oil it is more than likely a leak lower on the engine like a crank seal. The leaking oil will get slung up from the pulleys, this can also deteriorate the rubber belts or make them slip.
Found a rust hole in the cross member tube located in the center of where the rear bumper mounts. Only saw it when i removed the gas tank.
You for got about the transmission and noise wore out bearings they need to check for that
Just look at it!
JUST LOOK AT IT!
Does the crank pulley wobble always mean a bad keyway? I just picked up a 1994 for basically free and the harmonic balancer looks completely rotted out and rusted. It is a one-owner car and he has never had the center bolt off. It has a slight wobble at idle but I really don't want to take that center bolt off unless I absolutely have to to check for the keyway. It runs absolutely amazing and has almost 300K original miles on it LOL
This was a fantastic video. Lol.
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
At 4:24, what are those seven square holes in the plastic panel between wiper fluid hose and wipers for, except to let mice into the heater fan and ducts?
had a 1992 suzuki sidekick 4 door. no major issue until over 200,000 miles. Did have a known wire issue with it and a crack in the radiator. The engine at that point around 236,000 just keep blowing head gaskets and was worn out. sigh.
Ask me about the "check engine" light that never goes off. I own a 93.
