the rollback is even better than I thought, I've been playing at 0 frames this whole time and almost never had issue. though might just be because the higher ping matches just aren't connecting in the first place, the one problem I've had is connecting in the first place, once I join the games tho they are silk
Yeah clearly the lobbies aren't stable yet but the netcode seems pretty good
rev has 500 while R+ has 2k playing atm according to steam.

To be honest. I feel like I don't need strive anymore. I got what I wanted. For me it's like a new guilty gear with tons of new stuff to discover. The rollback plus the current player base is just so damn fun and it has the difficulty and complexity I want from guilty gear.

Literally when the last trailer dropped I said to my friends: "If only +R got GGPO I could forget about Strive forever". Now we are here.
Why not get both? 2 Guilty Gear titles w/ rollback, each with their own unique takes on the classic GG formula, it’s like Street Fighter: different gameplan w/ each installment:

The art is weird in this. Every character has a "concept" art that's different from their "portrait" art that's different from their "sprite" art.
5HS > Clean Hit Grand Viper > sidewinder loop is a thing, Sol can get great damage out of most of his pokes here.

With controller problems do you not use steam controller support? It's a lot better than xinput for me. You probably won't see this but that fixed all the issues I've ever had

Am I seeing this correctly, zero IADs by Sajam? I was always intimidated by anime fighters because I was sure that was an essential skill to be a somewhat decent player.

Honestly, this is a game I could keep playing for a while when the Rollback comes back. It's probably going to remain the most populated anime fighter (minus DBFZ) until Strive comes out. Which isn't hard, but it's something.
What's the difference between the netcode in the regular +R and this beta?

There's definitely going to be some carryover (faultless defense, movement, certain character specific traits) but it won't be 100%
basically nothing... chains are gonna be reworked, the corner game will be completly different due to wall break , the air dash has been modified and there's a lot less compared to THIS game specifically. I would say go play Xrd but even that one would different rules completly
I'd say less than going from this game to Rev, but it'll give you a general idea of the pace of the game/what the characters are like tbh. It's also only $3, and Rev is on sale too so I'd say it doesn't hurt to try either.
TBH learn how to use the magic series most of his things go into sweep or standing k into whatever special move you want. Just watch the pro players in accent core and da8g9

There’s rumors that BBCF might get rollback following AC+R, with hopefully the same modders and the same way ArcSys officiated the community netcode. If that happens, ArcSys will strike major waves more than Capcom. Who knows? Perhaps there could be hope for Granblue as well....

i dont want pc to be the fgc standard, i want ps to be as good as pc.
Why do you think pc would be the fgc standard, because of this game? Strive will have PS4-PS5 crossplay but not crossplay with PC so that probably won't be great for the PC community. I hope we can get to a point where it doesn't matter your preferred platform

Ps4 is the standard because sony pumps money into fg companies. between the shitty connections, imposed imput delay, and graphics restrictions make it a worse experience overall. only thing holding pc back is sony being bigger in japan is and pc gaming having bad stigma, and the variance between systems making it harder to coordinate events.

@@steeplewiththesnakes no one does. sajam says “this is why pc will never be the fgc standard” when he can’t get his stick to work. that isn’t what pc players want. we want crossplay so that the communities aren’t constantly divided. we just want consoles to catch up to the pc experience, because once the experiences are identical the argument against crossplay evaporates.
