  • This is the video that teach you counter loop, it's an advanced technique, if you don't feel comfortable with it, just try to work on the forehand topspin loop first.
    Good luck with your table tennis ^-^

    Hey Yangyang can you make a footwork break down on practicing forehand top spin. I mean the 2 1 practice that is one backhand top spin one forehand spin on that same corner and another forehand top spin of the other corner.

  • @animaysh

    There's nothing wrong with the guy's unorthodox FH if he is able to get the ball on the table. I know a bunch of players who use strange grips, bizarre shots. Yes they are limited, but some people make it work for them.

      There's also nothing wrong with providing feedback. That is if the person is willing to accept criticism in order to get better.

      @shanelawson5072 Před 5 lety +1

      Don't agree with that idea...
      if the technique is wrong & limiting you then you should try to change & improve it... if u DO actually want to improve that is!

    • @RobertoCostas
      @RobertoCostas Před 2 lety

      Getting the ball on the ball is not enough. Spin, speed, placement and making a shot not prone to injures are also important. All this is more easily achieved with a proper technique.

    My question is how much different is it to your footwork to wear table tennis shoes than regular sneakers?

    • @TechnicalTableTennis
      @TechnicalTableTennis Před 3 lety

      Unless you're a pro, any indoor court shoe will do. Table tennis shoes have very thin soles and grippy rubber. Traction is better and the shoes protect your ankles from sprains.

    My personal sweetspot seems to be the racket edge.
    I can do it much faster :P, but this is all I can do ;(
    The person in the end of the movie got a very weird Top-Spin Style, he got never a straight arm and not working with the arm-bend, I got someone similar in the club I told him to strech the arm 1st and then when you hit bend the arm - but he can not or do not like it.
    I do not know if it is right to let him play like this, because he will have problems to learn a much faster Top-Spin and also he will need much more time to learn to hit the ball in the right 45 Degree angle, but he is also faster in his moves, because he does not take much time to do a Top-Spin like that - he is still a beginner lets see how he will develop.

    • @kioka2
      @kioka2 Před 7 lety +2

      Well, sweetspot very close to racket edge is good because is where generate more speed and then spin i think !

He did a great job of demonstrating his counter topspin with you and you both did a great job of demonstrating your own individual techniques. Thank you!

    Youre demo stroke does not match your actual hitting stroke. When you actually hit the ball your arm drops lower than what you instructed and the stroke is more upright than horizontal.

  • @riemikes

  • @ArchOfficial
    @ArchOfficial Před 7 lety

    It would probably benefit your partner to relax his arm and not keep the wrist tensed on the backswing. He has good whip on the stroke, but it could be better. Otherwise I don't see what the problem is.

    • @Shrimp0kUgel
      @Shrimp0kUgel Před 2 lety

      I suppose as long as he can consistently put it on the table, it's fine. But I'm not convinced that in a real game scenario he can be consistent with that technique. Whipping the wrist like that is too slow and requires better timing. The power also seems to come from his wrist and arm, not from the pelvis turn itself. Then it's also hard to keep it low over the net. But... It seems to work for him. I'm flabbergasted tbh
