Your conversations with Slug are great. They have a real 'fly on the wall' feeling to them.
Thasswassup l. Much appreciated
“Wanted to watch a few moments of your life, like a fly on the wall would do.”
- Brother Ali in Shine On
That’s what it reminded me of lol
I love how excited you are every single week! I’m already enthused and it’s only the intro!! We’re still here, thank you!
This is a labor of LOVE
Thanks for being the one to share some these beautiful voices
Thanks for rockin with us! It’s a labor of love
A full length Slug x Ali project produced by either Ant or Evidence would be an instant underground classic. Guaranteed. Have been praying to the hip hop gods for that one for decades, not giving up hope. In the meantime thank you Ali and Slug for these conversations. Beautiful
He picked a very cool title for the album, I AM very much looking forward to hearing it. Much Love and gratitude.
Love back! Can’t wait for you to hear the album
Hell yeeeah! 9.30pm in NewZealand, about to jump into bed and I get this notification 🙏

Aww absolutely love and adore Slug and Ali... They're such beautiful humanitarians. Much love and respect 🙏 💜 🏆 🌟
Love the conversation guys, your discussion of the events going on at the start of Slug's new album brought me back too. Remembering the intensity of marching in the street, being confronted by cops, having all those fights online all while being socially isolated and feeling alone, feeling the build up to the 2020 election and all that was riding on it. That song "OK" was really useful for me over the last couple of years as I have been going through my struggles. Love you two and appreciate what you do.
Love back and much appreciated
Can’t wait to get/hear the new album! 🔊🔊🔊
I’m sure you can hear how much I love it, so I’m excited for you to hear it too
thank you for having slug back on, my two favorite artists to listen to speak, these give me so much life. peace
Much appreciated
Aww yes! Can't wait to get off my shift to hear this... Also can't wait to see Atmosphere in Stockholm on the 25th. Love you all
Love back! Hope you enjoy
@@BrotherAli_Travelers okay, this interview was everything I could have hoped for and more. New Atmosphere album coming, I cannot wait especially with Ali's take on it which let me know lots already... But ALSO, as getting to hear you guys chat it up about the creative process will never not blow my mind (those "9th grade creative exercises" still yielded some of my favorite songs Slug) and the 2020 Minneapolis stuff had such a healing type of feel for me in a different way, and then the later half discussing the repercussions to expressing personal details in the music....!! You guys went there and thank you so much for the realness. Ali, you're an especially equipped interviewer and podcaster (as in the rare case with Duncan Trussell I even enjoy your adverts just as much as the content itself because of everything you put into it), so let me just say that once again. I've appreciated Brother Ali as an artist for +20 years, but now also, week after week, you're building something new with these long form conversations and heartfelt messages from the one Brother Ali that's getting to be even bigger. I'm honored to be a part of it as a listener and supporter. Thank you for the love back, it means a lot. PEACE :)
Man I cannot get enough of this content! Love all of your work and Atmosphere was really the group that got me into your work. So awesome to hear a convo between two greats! Keep it up brother.
Thanks so much! This is actually the third in our series of conversations. The first is czcams.com/video/vpQ2mWARQ9s/video.html and second is czcams.com/video/ga4-Fi3FVlE/video.html both full video episodes
I'll be checking those out now. Thanks brother, didn't see this comment until just now and it made my day!
First week of beautiful temps here in Minnesota and what a way to kick it off then with a beautiful episode from some Minnesotans who are such an inspiration in my life. The articulate conversations of compassion, love and life fuel my soul. Thank you for existing and shining the lights you both have even when it has been dimmed, it never has gone out.
So kind of you to say. Much love
Brother Ali, you have excellent interviewing skills. I love how you tap into Slug n Ant n others who built that Era of HipHop, which is forever cemented in Hip Hop History
Long time fan of both you guys but First time listening to any Podcast. had to give this this one a go.
Great insight into SMORES and what makes Slug tick. Very informative. Thanks for putting this together.
Slug, see you in London in 11th❤️
Really wishing I could be at that show! Thanks for listening in for checking in
Tunnel vision is the term Slug was looking for when he's talking about your father, and I agree with his conclusion.
For me, it was always taking inventory of the people around me that got me through the hardest times, so I have to assume people who act on that ideation are explicitly not taking that kind of inventory.
Brilliant show. Most heartfelt and true podcast that I regularly listen to.
That means a lot. Thank you 🙏
Evolution. Poetry in motion. ❤
I’d love to see a video pod from you and slug
"Sean Daly, Anthony Davis, Twin Cities, they act like we famous"
There it is
Brother Ali, thank you for making this. My big brother got me into you and Atmosphere probably almost ten years ago, and he had been a fan for ten years at that point. We saw you guys and Dem Atlas in Phoenix in 2018. Thank you guys for doin' what you do, for giving my brother and I something to connect on, and for being a grounding point for us and so many others. I can't wait to hear this new Atmosphere album, thank you.
Thanks so much for listening and reaching out
Word up Katy❗I caught ATMOSPHERE on tour right after "The Family Sign" album was released in 2011 at the Rialto Theater in Tucson but lived in PHX around the Camelback Corridor❗Peace Out❗✌️

what a remarkable journey🚀🫶🏽💛⭐️
I believe all art should be made for you and if you truly feel its finished thats all that truely matters and if you like it well thankyou or your welcome witch ever you want i guess but the art that is produced to affect the masses it could be good but who's the person trying to affect the massess and whats there intentions get me so its about money and they might not care if it has a negative affect on sciocty like tupoc they would try and make it sound like hes gloryfing shootings people but where is all that concern now with the new artist see what i mean they didnt like that he just better than anyone els at the time but now its no stop literal gloryfing killing people but those people never lived that life tupac was giving out aweareness of situations that happening on the streets but these new Rapers be acting like the life to live and you might even get a record deal and things haven't been same since because its all about monye and looking cool who fucks more bitches whos more cold blooded whos cought more bodys but those people never lived a life like that and have no business making art like that because the record lable thinks thats what they want
Was legit just looking for a slug interview I haven’t seen yet to get me through this graveyard drive thru shift. Many blessings to you!
Peep @reauxwrld 🙌🏽
Much love! Thanks for rockin with us!
