  • Am I called to ministry? How do you know? People ask me this question a lot. So here are some things I've learned over many years in ministry that will help you determine if God is calling you too.

    Thank you for this; it helps. I've had this deep passion for learning more about God. I thought it might be a phase, but I have this spiritual hunger, and I still pray to God about what he wants me to do to serve him. I've been raised in the church all my life, but I feel like I've been running away from something. Thank you for putting out helpful videos to the public. Praying God continues to bring remarkable success to your ministry.

    Im having this urge to do youth ministry. I know what the Holy Spirit feels like and I’m 98% sure that this is the case too. The only thing that makes me weary is my own ego and pride. I absolutely adore children and I want to help shepherd them through their most formative years. I already volunteer at my church youth ministry and adore it. The idea of going back to school at 32 and racking up several tens of thousands in students loans makes me go 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

    Good video. I got sucked into Ministry have been enjoying it very much been going on 6 months have been wondering if I should keep in going have definitely noticed a difference in the youth that I am ministering to. All volunteer I have been blessed with a good job and I would never want to be a burden on the church.

    And all people who post online of course have a money motivation. I pray your message reaches those thst need it. I do not idolize anyone, or fawn, or blindly accept anyone. I'm learning only from the Master himself.

    I've wrestled with this question since giving my life to Jesus. My father, all my uncles, all my cousins and my grandfather are all in ministry in some way (Preacher and/or Gospel musicians). Everyone's on my case to become a pastor, but I don't know if that's what God wants from/for me

    Really, people want to do good like I used to. Now 60 it is the examples I see I real life. All my life I could never ask questions. This is the place churches fall short. Children always ask questions. It's a bad institution that does not provide for those children who are now adults to have honest conversations and those so called wise could share their experience.

    A little exaggeration, Pst. Volunteer , bivocational and full time, there's a difference in sacrifice so not on same level. To whom much is given much is required.

    • @ben5091
      @ben5091 Před 8 měsíci

      Yes, but what if the bivovational Pastor has another equally heavy ministry? God’s calling is God’s calling.

    I thought I was called to be a pastor, but I guess not. I have the desire to preach, but i get stage fright. And i can't get my thoughts on paper, how to write a sermon. I have a novel stuck in my head, nut can't get it on paper.

    After I got saved I just knew I was supposed to be preaching but I'm a shy person and I have no idea why he would want me to preach for him after everything I've done in my life I'm a struggling addict and I really don't want to at all and I just don't know why he wants me to but it kept on working on my heart and wouldn't let me sleep or get it off my mind so I turned back to drugs and I feel better for a while and get clean again and then it'll come back and I'll do it all over again and it comes back every time I'm clean and living right even though I know I'm not a good person why does he want me to do this I don't understand and i pray about it and ask not to do this cause I've been a terrible person why should anyone listen to me and what if im wrong and lead them down the wrong path any advice would be appreciated

      Nobody is perfect but God can and still calls people. If He calls you to do something, it's because He has anointed you for it, it's His will for you, not because of you being a good person. Moses murdered someone but God called him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. David slept with another's man's wife but God didn't take away the call of being a king away from him . Don't doubt yourself and allow the Bible and God to minister to you. Psalm 139 is a good chapter to read. It talks about God seeing us in His eyes and the good He thinks of us. His intentions for us. I suggest you read it, your self-concept starts changing just by reading it. Trust Him to lead you in your calling. God bless you my brother.

      God chose you before you chose Him,
      Jeremiah 1:5: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
      before you were born I set you apart;
      I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
      He chooses the calling/gifts on our life, He sees our life and has plans for us.
      Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
      One of the hardest part is to start! Pray to God about helping you out with preaching and really soaking in His word. When God called me to go into my calling the hardest part was to start! The enemy was trying his hardest to attack me and intimidate me but I had to really understand that Gods word is the truth and He is right there with you the whole time. I pray things go well with you, God bless 💕

    My opinion based on my own experience is how do people change their old ideas. Sure..out of fear of rejection. Or a sick need for approval. I decided after much research and from my independent view to believe the Bible is real and Jesus is real. You miss so so so many people. Without a forum to have a question, answer, doubt, proof ..not my thing now. I alone can believe or not. I alone can pray or not, I alone can try for a relationship with our Holy Jesus.
