    Do you preach with an iPad or good, old-fashioned paper?

      Yeah, I’m drooling over the new iPad Pro, but probably going to hold out until a cheaper model adapts the new design.

    I use my iPad for preaching and other presentations. I always have a printed copy for immediate use just in case my iPad bellies up on me at the most critical moment. I enjoyed your video. Thank you.

    I love this video there are not enough preachers embracing technology. I use Pages and I either, print, use iPad, iPhone or MacBook sometimes. I usually use paper but I am definitely not afraid to use either one of those. I have not used a regular bible in years.

    DocsToGo is the best app. You can resize text for visibility without messing up the actual document format. It’s a game changer. It works with several cloud storage services, as well Word, Pages, etc.

    The cool thing is with Pages in 2020 you don't have to export the notes anymore to keep from accidentally editing your note.

    God bless you, thank you for blessing iPad knowledge for preaching.
    I have an idea but I must develop it. I want to use 3 aspects when preaching, biblical text, notes and meanings of some words as in highligths with their definition.
    Will this be possible on an iPad?

    All the do not disturb airplane mode etc can be set up in shortcuts to run automatically. When i go into church my iPhone automatically does all that on its own and resets to normal when i leave but it is setup as an automation in shortcuts.

    I type my sermon in a word document and save it in a file in dropbox. I can adjust the font to any size I want. I then just open the file on my pad and it automatically adjust to the screen size.

    Hello. I'm four yrs late to this video, but that's a good thing, because now I'm wondering what changes, upgrades, additions that you may have made in the past 4 yrs? I too am a pastor, and have used androids a long time--it's just so handy to have for writing a quick note, checking a calendar, email, etc. Recently, I've been dabbling on the Apple side of things--especially the iPad for its capabilities of note taking with Apple Pencil--I'm liking it more and more. :) Anyway, I was just wondering as to your thoughts after fours of usage 😊 --Irvinson.

      It really depends on your budget. I’ve been using the new iPad Air and love it. But if you just need a basic iPad and screen, the base model iPad will work just fine for you.

    Great video I would say with the advent of shortcuts a lot of the manual clicking through and engaging airplane, auto lock off, DND, and rotate could be automated via a shortcut that you could call preaching mode and then have something that reverses all of that say preach mode on and preach mode off.

    How do you write a sermon

    • @bluestripetiger
      @bluestripetiger Před 3 lety

      The best guides for how to write a sermon and just sermon prep in general are still in my opinion Robinson's Biblical Preaching and Chapell's Christ Centered Preaching. Please check them out becuase you would be doing yourself a huge favor and they are references that you can come back to time after time. Once you feel more comfortable with the actual sermon prep process and have delivered a few sermons you can graduate to reading Koller's How to Preach Without Notes. There are a ton of good books on homiletics (the art of preaching) but those three i think are absolutely essential to any preacher's library whether you're a pastor, an elder, a deacon or someone who may get an invite to deliver the Word from the Pulpit (for example a youth leader, a bible teacher, or simply a respected lay member).

    Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Preachers should preach from the heart without notes, and only promote Jesus Christ and the Word of God. Everything you do, you promote, including the clothes you wear, your mannerisms and whatever you hold in your hand. We should never promote technology. Leave that to the geeks. The internet has destroyed the lives of thousands of men.

    • @tsm7964
      @tsm7964 Před 3 lety

      @@AngelXDiaz One problem with preaching with an ipad is that you are promoting an ipad. An outline on paper is fine. Preachers should only promote Jesus Christ and His Word, not technology.
