Dont waste your money on an unbiblical institution. That is the answer. Not if you want to be a Episcopos Poimen in the Ecclesia of God. An academic perhaps but not a recognized office bearer of a true Ecclesia.

This is not my opinion but absolute fact, to teach is to inform, to preach is to move.

The Nirv is a good one to break down hard to understand passages. I use it along with my KJV if i don't have the one with my strong's concordance with me.

When I pastored back in 2015-2017, I had an old iPad that I used just to preach from and had done my research study on my MacBook Air. Everything that was on my MacBook Air is now on my iPad Air (5thGen). I've moved all of my reading to an iPad Mini from my Kindle too. The iPad Air is a great product and tool to use. It's good to see how much you're able to use it for too, in your ministry.

As a veteran pastor, all 20 things mention are accurate. Seminary or Bible college of some kind is important to make sure you know how to interpret Scripture properly. I have been blessed with a long tenure at my current church, but there have been really tough times. A pastor needs to be sure he is called, because he will need to trust the calling when times are tough.

And all people who post online of course have a money motivation. I pray your message reaches those thst need it. I do not idolize anyone, or fawn, or blindly accept anyone. I'm learning only from the Master himself.

After all was Jeaus a follower blindly. ? I m not a great person and troubles with substances, but without a place or people to ask questions about christianity, I just pretended.

Really, people want to do good like I used to. Now 60 it is the examples I see I real life. All my life I could never ask questions. This is the place churches fall short. Children always ask questions. It's a bad institution that does not provide for those children who are now adults to have honest conversations and those so called wise could share their experience.

My opinion based on my own experience is how do people change their old ideas. Sure..out of fear of rejection. Or a sick need for approval. I decided after much research and from my independent view to believe the Bible is real and Jesus is real. You miss so so so many people. Without a forum to have a question, answer, doubt, proof ..not my thing now. I alone can believe or not. I alone can pray or not, I alone can try for a relationship with our Holy Jesus.

I thought I was called to be a pastor, but I guess not. I have the desire to preach, but i get stage fright. And i can't get my thoughts on paper, how to write a sermon. I have a novel stuck in my head, nut can't get it on paper.

Pastors dress in ultra extravagant ways because that’s what people who attend their church want. People want validation that their greed and materialism is ok. By dressing extravagantly, pastors are sending the message not only is greed and material ok, it’s actually a blessing from God. This moves greed and materialism away from being the evidence of the sinful nature, to being a fruit of the Holy Spirit. Pastor also dress extravagantly, because that’s how the idols people worship present themselves. The ultra rich movie stars and sports stars dress extravagantly, and thus pastor dress in the same way to validate people’s idolatry of celebrities. Make no mistake about these pastors, they know exactly what they are doing by dressing in extravagant ways. In the end they know they are merely giving a sinful heart what it wants. And that is why they can draw massive crowds.

Being Pentecostal, I have heard it joked that the difference between preaching and teaching is the pastor's vocal volume, and some seem to believe it.

In my church, we do not have video, and our recording CD recorder went down a number of weeks ago. However, my pastor has been helpful in pointing out technical problems, such as when I would get stuck and say the same lines seven or eight times in the last several minutes or continue stressing the last point in my message. I came to realize that this difficulty was that I had reached the end of my message and needed to close it down. Now, I move to the next point in my notes, or, if they are ended, I close. My difficulty that I currently face is that I end my messages like slamming into a brick wall at 80 miles an hour. I simply can not close. I hit my end, have them stand, and turn the rest to my pastor. Calling it abrupt would be overly courteous to my closings.

I feel compelled to comment. Ninety percent of the problems laid out in this video would be solved by following the scripture 1 Timothy 3:6 not to appoint a novice to be an elder. After I had retired the Lord opened the door for me to enter the pastorate, it's been the easiest thing I've ever done. I already raised a family, became financially secure, worked a number of jobs (quit some and lost others) and learned to be faithful to the Lord and learned just how faithful He is to me. My advice to young struggling pastors is take a sabbatical and get a job working on a trash truck or go in the military during a shooting war, then tell me pastoring is the hardest job in the world, or just maybe you made the wrong career choice, or you rushed into the ministry before the Lord wanted you to. All I'm saying is think about it.
