Bro you didn't have to cut that bolt just bend the inner fender back a little. And the bolt goes down wards for a Reason if the nut comes off the bolt won't work itself out at 80mph going down the highway.
Appreciate the feedback but i didnt want to compromise the spot welds by bending it. And even the dealership recommends flipping them after repairs. A year later and still at torque spec even with all of the off-roading.
Great video thanks for the info, how are they still holding up? I just lifted my 23 last week alignment is a bit off I think the ome 888 springs gave me a bit more lift than expected I had 265/75/16 tires installed as well. Thanks again
They are holding up great! I did an update video a few months ago. I liked them so much i actually became an affiliate for them. If you’re thinking about getting some check out the update video and if you decide maybe use my link to get yours. I believe it is 8% off.
@@azbackroadadventures awesome to hear I’ll check out the video and look into purchasing some I’m also looking into the needle bearing so far no vibration and no funny noises but the truck has about 3500 miles I hope I’m one of the lucky ones and don’t have to worry about it anytime soon, thanks again for the reply have a great rest of your day.
I grease them every oil change. It’s easier to remember that way. Being a manual grease fitting it collects a little dirt around the edges, but nothing terrible.
I bought these and had a shop install them and immediately loud clunking noises coming directly front the drivers side. Seems like right at the bushing. My alignment with these is a bit off. I have some positive camber, 2” leveling spacer in fronts only. Edit: the clunking is horrendous when I’m driving slow under 25 mph and uneven road. Also, when coming to a complete stop .
When the shop installed them did they grease the bushings and torque everything on the ground under load? That is important. If all of that is a yes i would take it back to the shop for inspection. Sorry you’re not having a good experience. Mine have been great.
@@azbackroadadventures I’m going to take it back, something else might be loose ? Embarrassed to drive my nice looking truck lol. I am also taking a replacement set, just in case. I see there is grease on the zerk fittings but not sure about the bushings. Passenger side is great, no sound. It’s only the drivers side. Hopefully they can fix it. Regretting my decisions at this point!
I actually had to go look, it appears that they are now available on Amazon. I have had great luck with their customer service when I went directly to their website, and my code will get you a little better deal.
@yezkaholic they have been great. The SPC with the rubber bushings will be a much higher quality. If i’m not mistaken arent their ball joints serviceable? You should check into that first, but if all else fails yes, i am still happy with these after all this time. RSO is another company that makes a great product kind of in between the two. Check them out as well.
@azbackroadadventures yeah SPC was more than helpful to summit a warranty claim but I just want to go a different route find something alignment techs can work on no issue. Due to the adjustability on these some techs just had no idea what to do. But also don't want to be chasing warranties every 10k miles. Might give these a shot the price don't seem too bad
So far so good. I thought they were getting a little loose, but turns out my upper control arm bolts had settled in a bit and needed re-torqued. I have 60K on the truck now so i would say 25,000 miles on the control arms with no issues.
In my opinion i would still buy the same ones again. Zero issues, alignment has stayed straight and truck feels great! I actually became an affiliate for them i liked it so much. There is an updated video and an affiliate link with that one!
@@azbackroadadventures thanks i ordered them previous order was for a dodge ram! the other company messed up. I am in the middle of installing the ksp right now

I am not sure what you mean in your comment, as in an update video? I have a couple update videos talking about these control arms. I would love to assist however I can if you can be more specific. Thanks for watching! be sure to check out some of our other videos.

Great so far! No noises or issues. I have only put a few thousand miles on them so far, but after a couple of good wheeling trips i would still recommend them.
Ihave said this a few times now, I didnt spend anywhere close to $60 for bolts. The upper control arm bolts are “torque-to-yield” anyway (you’re supposed to replace them every time you undo them) and i would rather spend the few dollars on a bolt that will get replaced several times over the life of the truck rather than bend a pinch weld causing paint chipping, structural damage and a place for rust to get in. But if thats how you choose to do it thats great for you. To each their own.

You could just bend that fender wall back a bit and take it out from the engine bay side vs cutting the bolts.
That is correct, however i didnt want to bend the pinch weld and the bolts were cheap enough it was simple to cut.
Hey there I couldn’t find the update video I am wondering if you can provide the link please thank you 🙏

Have you done a re-grease on the bushings?
I grease them every oil change. It’s easier to remember that way. Being a manual grease fitting it collects a little dirt around the edges, but nothing terrible.
@@azbackroadadventures what grease are you using? Sorry for all the questions.

@@xfcarcache8771 what was the issue?
did it push your caster forward?
I honestly couldnt tell you the specifics. I know i had terrible bump steer and after installation and alignment it was gone.

@yezkaholic i like them for my style of driving.
To cut the bolt can be easily use a Sawzall
Agreed! I just don’t have a sawzall. Great suggestion though!
How is the ball joint holding, how many miles have you put on, is still holding good? Thanks

Did you have a lot of play when installed.?
No, i didnt have any play once installed, torqued and greased.
Did you have to modify anything to get the inner washers to fit?
I did not. They slid right in.
@@azbackroadadventures thanks i ordered them previous order was for a dodge ram! the other company messed up. I am in the middle of installing the ksp right now
Did you get the new bolts from the dealer?
I did. Best place for stuff like that.
Also did you reuse the washers
@bigmoolah i did. Yes.
Update video on uca. Like no info on these.

@santithekid - check out the new video that just went live. More info and review on the control arms.
Do they come greased ?
The ball joints do, the bushings you have to do yourself.
Can we get you to make a video of this control arm?

Oh yes. It is super important to grease them regularly to add to the longevity of the parts.
Why not just bend that piece rather than spend $60? UGH!
