HANOI: Train Street, Cho Dong Xuan market, street food and surviving French architecture

Have you ever visited Hanoi Train Street? What did you think?
I'm up early to to see the 0900 to Ho Chi Minh City miss me by a few feet. Perhaps not everyone's idea of a good time, but definitely unforgettable. I offer some tips about visiting Hanoi Train Street. I then stumble across the huge Cho Dong Xuan market and find why my overnight train from Nanning, China, doesn't operate into the city centre of Hanoi. The night is finished off with some street food.

The man in the shop kept pushing me back as the train was approaching - stand back, stand back. I was standing back, but the wave of air that followed the train really caught me off guard. An amazing experience.
