There is X, there is Odysse, there is Kick, and then there is just not watching it live because why bother. I'm a political junkie but watching bits after mixed with analysis I actually respect is still way more preferable than watching live and having to suffer too much of the CNN "moderators".

If you try to get a ruling before or as it's happening they claim the damage hasn't been done yet and dismiss you on standing.
If you do it after they claim the damage is already done, can't be rectified and should have been brought earlier thus dismissing you on latches.
I agree with Barnes that standing needs to be eliminated so all cases can be determined by the merits of the case rather than blindly dismissed via procedural methods.

Being able to stream and broadcast the presidential debate is a given by the "freedom of the press". impeding this in anyway is unconstitutional and illegal.
Why? YT is at the end a company if they chose to align themselves with the government. They can do so, your personal freedom of speech is not denied. If you want, you can create or find another platform or simply walk out of your house.
This election is not just for America, during war it also affects the world. And russia is very interested to influence this, so you also got the bot aspect of this.

How is this not considered in the public square? It was declared that Trump could not block people on Twitter, so why would CNN be allowed to have exclusive rights to a presidential debate.
In "Our Democracy," only The State and its approved authoritative institutions are allowed legitimate reporting and commentary of political events.
You know, to "ensure" the sanctity of the democratic process and prevent "threats" against "Our Democracy" from undermining it.

Only the correct authorities are allowed to do so as they have been vetted by The State and deemed safe.

Of course they'll ignore their own rules. Every company that has any power doesn't make rules for themselves. They make the rules for everyone else.
They know that other channels who stream the debate will get more attention than CNN's. Channels covering the debate will give their own commentary during the debate, they think that the commentary that channels will give will sway the audience into biased interpretations. To me, it would be less bad optically IF CNN extends that rule to left wing channels like TYT, Pakman, Destiny, and others AND CNN would not give their own commentary during the debate UNTIL AFTER the debate. But, that rule would be inconsequential as the average person would not care to watch the whole debate and would rather opt for a summation and interpretation from someone they like. This rule is STILL a violation of Fair Use and should rightly so be challenged in court.
That’s pretty much what happened with the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. Add on to the fact CNN would edit out the parts that make Joe look bad, under the guise of an innocent “technical issue” of course.

@azradun3903 There is no requirement for candidates to debate. The government does not conduct the debates so this is not "public", and the Constitution has nothing to do with how CNN runs the event. This is between three private organizations (CNN, the Biden Campaign and the Trump Campaign).
It is not debate because the mandates are not debating each other, especially under the rules Biden insisted on.

Most Americans, don't know the tax rate in Wisconsin. Hell, if they pay an accountant to do it, most people in the state probably don't know. Everything is focused on the federal government, and even then, mostly just the big seats and partisan issues. How you sometimes get absolutely terrible people in local government, school boards, HOAs, etc: they and their friends where some of the only people to show up and vote.

The rules are only there to tell US what we can't do and how we'll be punished for trying to do it anyway. They do whatever they want and look for any excuse they can think of to explain why the rules don't apply to them in any particular instance they wanna break them. What a world to live in. Rules for thee but not for me has been the way of the world forever and shows no signs of changing any time soon. If anything, we're getting worse as the days go by.
Did you heard about the court case debating if the goverment can order private businesses to censor? It ended with the final decision being that the goverment CAN do that, despite everyone saying that its clearly uncostitutional. 5 supreme justices voted in favor it.
