Omggg I wanna learn how you fix silver eye! My Kirsten needs it done. When I got her, I didn’t think her eye was that bad, but as I was dressing her, I noticed it’s gradually getting bad. Also love that you posted. You give me inspiration to redo my doll’s wardrobe
Regarding snaps vs Velcro -- Velcro is sewn on by machine, whereas snaps have to be sewn on by hand. I'll bet that's a big part of it. I got a huge lot of 97-01 GoT clothes recently, and was so intrigued to find that a ton of the outfits actually had zippers instead of Velcro. I wonder why they stopped doing that.

Hahah thaaaaanks - I've been around non-doll people too long I think. When I say the words "first edition", everyone knows to leave the room slowly. I got Felicity looking a little better, but that combo still irks me. No way she's going back in the Christmas gown though 😆

Older doll collector here and I'm absolutely loving your channel. I'm loving all of the info, your pacing, the length allows me do craft will watching. Tip: to make it easier with shoe tying wrap one of the bunny ears around two times prevents the ties from loosening.
Doll clothes all over the floor from re-dressing the collection is a big mood. 😂
Your Addy is beautiful. I think a PC Addy is the next doll I want to add to my collection. She's a gorgeous doll.
So I’m actually having a lot of fun watching your longer videos, it feels like sitting at home and chatting with a friend, it’s just very nice and mellow and I of course love seeing your collection!
I’m actually a bit of a tamagotchi nerd so I thought I could help a bit! Tamagotchi was actually still going strong and producing new versions of the tamagotchis well into the early 2000’s! The tamagotchi connection V4 is one of the most well loved versions for collectors and that released in the US in 2007! Tamagotchi has actually stayed really strong, mostly in Japan, but in recent years they are back in the US with tamagotchis that have color screens, one had the feature of being able to breed your tamas and mix their genetics, and the most recent English release has a camera on the back!

i like these videos of u talking for some reason. i really like hearing u talk about your dolls and pleasant company since they are something that makes u happy. i prefer the mattel era but the pleasant company aesthetic was also pretty nice to look at. and there is some interesting things you know about the different variations of certain things too. oh and also, i feel like these videos with you talking a lot kind of feels like we are having a conversation and just hanging out or something, and i like that 🙂
Velcro is faster and easier to sew into a garment. Snaps and buttons take more time and detail to sew.
Velcro is also considered kid friendly, although adults cringe over snagging stockings and anything in knit!
Regarding the 1990’s Dolls: I looked up the American Girl Magazine shown in Isabel’s collection. It is the November/December 1999 issue, so my guess is that any story will include Y2K and/or New Year’s Eve.
I have no interest in either doll. I like the Pizza Hut set and Nicki’s purple inflatable chair set. It has a CD Walkman (had one!) and a digital clock like I had. I also like the Mini Grin Pin poster that looks like the full size banner PC created for the full size Grin Pins. Nicki’s Meet accessories includes a card with 9 Mini Grin Pins that I bet she can put on her poster!

When you talk at least you are doing something to keep us visually entertained also. I am not a big fan of just talk and no visual unless I can talk back....lol. My holy grail outfit is Felicity's riding breeches with tri cornered hat. Like the cinnamon prototype dress, makes me want to go to a fabric store and find that color to make Addy a dress that color. Today I am going to a doll show....wish me luck!
Your Pleasant Company collection is very cool! I was an adult when I discovered AG dolls in 1997. I have multiple PC and AG catalogs. I like the magic in the full PC collections!

Hi I just found your channel today and I’m so glad you exist. I wasn’t allowed to have the dolls as a kid. In a moment of millennial angst in the first week of January I bought a Felicity on eBay. And then I bought an Addy two days later. And now at 35, I’m on a runway train to nostalgia town. I’m having so much fun collecting and I really appreciate this community. Can’t wait to learn more from your videos!

Literally all pleathers turn to dust it feels like! I mostly collect Barbies, and so I was wondering if AG did something different. So if I was to look for it, Mid-90s and beyond they didn’t use pleather for the raincoats? (Or at least Molly’s raincoat?)
