- Hello, and welcome to another engines of Strasburg episode. In today’s episode, we will discuss Strasburg’s most famous engine, Great Western 90.
Special thanks to Whistle Productions for letting me use his footage.
Nice. She’s a beautiful locomotive. Glad she was repaired after that accident. R.I.P. to the fireman and truck driver.
Great video. 🤘
Have two pizzas. 🍕🍕
Skylite Junction thanks! And rip to the fireman and truck driver

My favorite engine there, and the first steam engine I ever rode on.

Norfolk578 Productions Your welcome! Can’t wait for the next one!

LJL RailYard thanks
That’s sad that the fireman and truck driver was killed in that crash
Very Informative! If you ever want to use some of my footage just ask
Eastern PA Railfan thanks! And I probably will ask you if I can use your footage when I come to do my N&W 475 video
Norfolk578 Productions ok just let me know 👍
Do you plan on taking about and including Wilmington and western 98 in this series because I learned it operated on the Strasburg in the early 60s
Evan Franzen yes. This series will be on all steam engines that have operated/continue to operate at Strasburg
@@commandingofficerkanawha7546 well thank you and I can't wait til its out but for now I'll just wait until the 7002 video comes out so I can get some info on it to go on my top 20 retired steam locomotives list I'm making (I'm not making a CZcams video on it since i only have an account to watch CZcams and I'm making it since I've enjoyed many CZcamsrs who have done them and maybe you should make one one day and I bet 1361 may be or not will be the number 1 spot since you've mentioned serveral times throughout your videos its your favorite steam locomotive
Music is a bit loud, but besides that, good.
Corey Page oh sorry about that and thanks
This episode was supposed to be on 7002 but info was extremely difficult to find on that engine.
Also I left this out as I couldn’t confirm this but I believe 90 was apart of the CB&Q steam program
Also there might be a little earrape at 1:54 and 2:20 as I was a bit to close to the mic
So 90 has never been retired if so then 844 isn’t the only steam locomotive that had never been retired
Missouri River Railroad yeah. Pretty much
Am I the only one wondering where's the next episode it's been a month already and still no fourth episode of this series
Evan's Megazord reviews I’m taking a short break. I did 3 episodes within 2 weeks starting with 1187 to this episode. I’m taking a short break from this series to work on other projects
@@commandingofficerkanawha7546 oh ok and I'm sorry
The Second Steam locomotive Never been Retired from a Us Railway
Technically it still was retired but very briefly
@@commandingofficerkanawha7546 You know my Favorite U.k steam locomotive
Firsco Master 1522 Southern Railway Ks1 Productions no. Why would I?
@@commandingofficerkanawha7546 the Only British steam locomotives i LIKE is the lner U1 garratt
Where did you find the information about 90's crash?
Literally just google it and you should find the info within some articles about 90
@@commandingofficerkanawha7546 I searched Google and I found nothing about 90's crash.
@@meryreyes6209 “On November 7, 1944, the engine was hit by a truck at a grade crossing east of Loveland and knocked onto its fireman's side, killing both the fireman and the truck driver.” -Wikipedia
I think I should make I video about that
It says Great *Wesern* 90, Not Great *Western* 90
Can u fix it?
Living Legend Production’s oh shit I didn’t realize that. Thank you for pointing that out
No problemo
What about Norfolk Western 475
I’ll get around to 475 eventually. I just started this series just give me time
No one get upset at me about this but out of all the locomotives on the Strasburg roster 90 is actually my least favorite and I actually prefer the other operate decapod Frisco 1630 instead of 90 also out of all the locomotives that have ran on the tourist line my personal favorite locomotive owned and operated on the Strasburg railroad is N&W 475 since she’s been one of my favorite locomotives on their roster and from her special appearance in Thomas and the magic railroad and I can’t wait when she Returns to service in the next month in time for 611’s visit
