I think there's something wrong with Fatz's head though. He moves fine and all but It seems like his head is stuck tilted to the right, even at the beginning when he's turned off. Has anyone ever noticed this?

The thing making RAE better is the writing. This little show is part of the Magic showtape. Back in 1986, I had the privilege to enjoy this in a real Showbiz.
I wish there was something like this today for kids (of all ages) for birthdays, special celebrations, and just going out for pizza any day of the week. I cannot even begin to understand what it took to put this together. And to think that it was all private enterprise… Amazing!
I just like how articulated these animatronics were, with their joints have most needed movements. The only think missing was the mouth not being the most advanced thing, but they even had functioning hands on the uncle clunk
These animatronics are so energetic it's fun to watch. Their placement really makes the stage come alive, I love it.........The only thing similar to this Chuck-E-Cheese needs to take a few notes.
Luposian I’m late, but these have been in creative engineering for awhile now, and Aaron took them out and made sure they worked really good and stuff, then he sold them to this person. This show has been gone for a year now, though. But it’s animatronics are sold to other people now.
As far as I know, Dook is from Snap's blast to the last museum, where a showroom condition RAE burnt to the ground. The Dook from there was restored and he's here now. Not sure about the other characters, these weren't the crated ones though

Animatronics in general have a TERRIBLE reputation, and I've heard adults say the Rock-Afire traumatized them, most of my friends find the Rock-Afire FAR more creepy then CEC. Being as it was my first time going there, I had no idea what to expect. I finally worked up the courage and stuck my head under it and the sight of that huge creepy gorilla made me run out of the room screaming and fueled several months worth of nightmares. When I close my eyes and think about it I can still picture that gorilla staring maniacally off in the distance
even though i love munch's make believe band, the rock-afire explosion's dialogue sounds less scripted, and like they are actually friends. on the other hand, cec's just sounds like a bunch of coworkers. its so scripted. one of the reasons i love the rock-afire so much.
Entertainment for us children growing up included this... animal robots shutting down female co-worker cheerleader, discussing cutting throats, and a song about touching a females dress, reaching out, grabbing people, & casting spells to achieve you every desire ... Gen X strong.
Some of the movements from these robots is a little *too* human-like. It doesnt always have that perfect, fluid movement, but when it does, its so surreal. Some moments i felt like i was watching a bunch of people in costumes
