- This is a classic showtape, created in June of 1983 for Showbiz Pizza Place. It is being released to coincide with the Presidential election showdown between Obama and Romney. Yes, Beach Bear is wearing his hair different. but, if that's all you notice that's strange, you aren't looking closely.LOL

I'm in awe of how funny and edgy and candid this show it...this is nothing like the chuck e cheese animatronics I'm used to, this is like an actual tv show aimed at people of all ages not just kids...simply amazing
I know this is subjective and i agree with your thoughts on how these guys would interact. This is something Chuck e cheese wouldn't probably do nowadays, but the keyword is NOWADAYS. Back then, the chuck e cheese gang were able to hold on to that magic that the rockafire had for a while. Just look at the showtapes from the 90s, 2000s, and even some from the 2010s. It almost feels like the rockafire never left (ik a fes fans have their own personal set and the creator himself has got one himself) and it felt like a fun tv show as you mentioned in your comment. The thing is they dont do proper skits or show segments in between performances and they havent since around 2016 i believe. Now that the animatronic shave been replaced with a tv screen and a dance floor it seems that all theyre focusing is just the walk around characters. The chuck e cheese characters still do skits (in a way) with them being represented as puppets (this started back around 2014 anyway) on their youtube channel but idk theyre funny and all but i just miss when they would do actualy talking segments of the characters just being themselves like the video here. But anyways i think im getting ahead of myself.

This seems actually pretty well written, like some care and thought went into it rather than what they have now (or used to. Our local cec is all video now).

when Fatz is just jamming out on his tune machine u can see Beach Bear grooving out and tapping his foot to the tune, but as soon as Mitzi shouts out Fatz' name Beach turns his head to Mitzi quickly, then his foot-tapping slowed down significantly as his attention was drawn away from the chill music.

@frank ! I have a lot of reasons why I love the Rock afire Explosion, and what you said is one of them. Even the movements give them character, it's small, but it gives the show more personality. And the characters show more personalities as well. I love the Rock afire Explosion, they perform really spectacular shows. Even quality of the motion of the characters are what the CEC shows these days are lacking. It's such a shame a really great animatronic show like the Rock afire Explosion are gone from Showbiz and eventually be replaced by CEC :(

I read that they ad-libbed the banter for all the shows, so it was all spur of the moment.
Beach Bear is absolutely adorable and precious and I love him so much. He's my biggest comfort character and has been for about 5 months now

Oh my god. I laughed so much XD "SHUT UP, FATZ! I'm TRYING TO SING!" That and on another video I saw, they were singing Hips Don't Lie and Roulfe (I think that's his name?) Was sining a line like "I wanna see your body shake;shake it like your from columbia" or something like that, and the puppet was just like "ROULFE! This is a FAMLIY show!" And I just died laughing! I wish I could have seen these places in person. They seem like a blast! And the skits are halarious!
The Rock-a-fire is just covering a song by comedy country singer Ray Stevens (basically the Robin Williams of country music, due to his wacky cast of characters). The real song can be found on Ray's own channel, raystevensmusic. As to the names of the Rock-a-fire, from right to left, it's Rolfe DeWolfe and Earl Schmerle, Dook LaRue, Fatz Geronimo, Beach Bear, Mitzi Mozarella, Billy Bob, and Looney Bird. At the feet of Fatz is black bear cub Choo-Choo.

The majority of the kids who'd have watched the show would have probably been clueless about around 50% of the words Beach Bear said at 3:00. It cracks me up, honestly. I like the way his hair is in this video, too. Also, very giggly. And Fatz in the end of the thing at 7:40- "I'm gonna break all your neECks.." Overall amazing piece. #BlastToThePast
This has always been one of my favorite Rock-afire songs! I love how each character gets a time to shine, as it isn’t common for every band member to have their own defined part in a song. I’ve probably rewatched this video thousands of times in my life.

These Rock-afire shows had superb sound systems; it was just like being in a nightclub while you enjoyed a good house band. The 'ad-libs' added to the fun.

@Emontre waters I live in PA, not the state where Billy Bob's is, and also, Billy Bob's Wonderland's show is in such poor condition that they can nearly even function, and the Showbiz stores that sold their shows made the wise choice, because by doing that, the RAE got to live on and were saved from their fate, at least some of the RAE shows that some of the Showbiz stores sold were saved.
@Emontre waters I think everyone knows that Rock Afire Explosion's are Chuck E Cheese animiatronics. The only thing that I have to add to this is, the facial expressions on here are much better than Chuck E's because they're made out of a different type of rubber while Chuck E Cheese just have the main moving jaw. These animatronics have much better facial expressions.
I think it's all in the neck articulation. When CEC characters are retrofitted with the RAE endoskeletons, they look great.
@@slashbash1347 I agree. Recently I haven't seen many CEC animatronics that are actually retrofitted with RAE endos. I believe that it might be because they needed to dumb it down to make them easier to work on, but I am not one hundred percent certain. From what I've seen, they just have two main movements, which are the hip and neck. But I think the newer ones have a bit more to them, I haven't seen many of those recently.

The truth is, is that you could run old shows with them singing older type of music, and that's fine with me. Anything Rock-Afire is better than nothing at all. If I were to go to Showbiz Pizza,and see these guys,it would be the best day of my life.I watch these videos so much,and when I was watching a video of these guys,I was nagging my older sister how much I loved these guys and she said that we might have gone there once.There was this big castle thingy like Chuck E Cheese,and the eating area with lots of tables had a stage.I forgot if they had animatronics because I was probably 8 years old or something and don't remember. But if I actually did meet them and didn't do something about it back then,I feel so stupid.I love this band so much and it's a shame it's from the 80's and 90's. The castle place is actually closed now and being used for a nightclub. : ( If this place becomes popular,like they should,cause they're better than CEC's,then I will go no matter how old I am,even a grandma.
