- This is a classic showtape, created in June of 1983 for Showbiz Pizza Place. It is being released to coincide with the Presidential election showdown between Obama and Romney. Yes, Beach Bear is wearing his hair different. but, if that's all you notice that's strange, you aren't looking closely.LOL

I've gotta say, this is probably my favorite piece from the Rock-afire. I just love how all the characters get a chance to sing, and they lyrics and melody are very catchy too. Thanks for uploading it Aaron!

I just discovered The Rock-afire Explosion today (11/16/22). Gotta say, im really impressed! I was born in 2003, so I never ate at a ShowBiz Pizza. I did know a little about ShowBiz Pizza, mainly that they were rebranded to Chuck E. Cheese, but I never knew about this Band. These animatronics are extremely smooth when talking back and forth to each other, and all the instruments and singing are in sync with the actual music. Plus I like all the old music they play, such as this Ray Stevens song.

Wow. YOu have taken me back to my childhood at Showbiz Pizza. Where I sat totally terrified and creeped out by this band :). Every time I looked at the gorilla, he turned his head to me and opened his eyes wide. Kinda frightening. :) Seriously this is a WONDERFUL throwback and brilliantly orchestrated piece of music. It is flawless. What makes it work so well is breaking up the lines to give everyone a piece. It's organized chaos at its finest. The best part is the billy bob/looney bird section (I LOVE that bird, especially the parrotlike voice) and the section where Rolfe, Earle, Billy, and Looney each keep cycling a line back and forth. The editing and camerawork is INCREDIBLE! Please oh please release more retro shows from the past. I really need these in my life again! :)
