FULL FOOTAGE 1978 IAAPA Wolfpack 5 animatronic band

Happy Wolfpack 5 day! We didn’t advertise it very well and that was on purpose. Here is the footage from the first time the Wolfpack 5 show of Creative Engineering performed to the public. This show was later sold to Japan. I have watched this many times in the 6 or so months I’ve had it and found out a lot of cool things about the band, so am here to share it with everyone.
This channel is nonprofit and the video is unmonetized. I am sharing historic footage and do not own the characters in any way.

It’s absolutely insane that this was filmed in the late 70’s and the quality is so incredibly good. Not sure where you got this from, but bless you for sharing it because this is astounding.
Wow, I can't believe I haven't found this before. Seeing footage of Queenie is so cool!! I kind of never expected to find any since they were quick to replace her, but finally seeing footage of her singing her song on stage makes me so happy.
Here is what I found interesting in this video.
1.The wolfman can move his ears back and forth.
2.dingo star is way smaller than I thought and he can move side to side.
3. Pretty much all of Queenie's movements.
Also the fact that we went from a few low quality clips of this show to the full show being good quality is incredible.
4. Dingo is adorable

@@sarahhockey02 I think it's that and he was fitted with a spring on his stool/stand so when he would move his arms or tilt he would be rockin out pretty much.
I bet everybody FREAKED OUT when they seen those advanced things 45 years ago!

There’s a video of ppl reacting to show biz pizza for the first time in like 1981 for a premiere at a convention and they were all cheering and clapping lol
id like to note that !!!! in queenies version of dragstrip , she says "i never said goodbye" but im mini/mitzis version , she says "he never said goodbye" since mitzi is meant to be younger and a little more naive !! so while queenie is upset about how *she* never got to say goodbye to him , mitzi is singing as if her boyfriend knew he would die :( just thought i should mention that !! it brings a whole new vibe to the song , especially with mitzis version
And in one of a showbiz pizza wolf pack 5 vids where there in a building in the maldye mini says “Foxy was my BF” so they reused the Maldye (sorry I can’t spell)
I love the Rockafire Explosion, but The Wolf Pack 5 just hits different. I love Wolfman’s voice, how grumpy Beach Bear looks, how Dingo is based on Ringo from The Beatles, Queenie’s design and voice, and Fats’ sharp outfit. Fr, these characters are awesome and they have this charm to it that makes them very lovable. Queenie is my favorite!
This is a legendary moment in wolf pack 5 history, footage of the entire 1978 show!
What surprised me the most seeing this footage is that all their eyes are fixed in place.
If you look at Wolf man in the beginning you can see his eyes can move to the left
It's probably because they didn't get enough air pressure for their eye mechanisms to move.
@@thecellistssubliminalcorner I’m not so sure in this case since this was presented at IAAPA. Creative Engineering definitely would’ve made sure every movement would be working as intended if they wanted to sell their shows.

When I first saw the tile of this video,I thought."What?!?There's some footage of the 1978 version of the Wolf pack 5!?!That incredible!"But I was a little bit concerned that this was a joke video or something like that.And then I watched this and man was I impressed.

It's interesting that Queenie had a slightly larger range of movements to her hands and arms than Mitzi ever had.
Mitzi has move movements for sure
They both have the same range, mitzi just repeats a lot of the same movements over and over again.

Actually no the movements are the exact same Mitzi would just raise her hands more to shake the pom-poms this character specifically doesn’t need to
It amazes me every time I see it that we have so much high quality footage of a nearly 50 year old band.

It's interesting how fairly primitive these early Wolf Pack 5 bots are compared to the Showbiz Pizza placeholder version is with Mini Mozzarella.
They were mostly the exact same animatronics with a different controller
All the Beatles references in Dingos song are making me smile. Back in the USSR, Twist and Shout, Get Back, Birthday, She Loves You, probably more
remember , this is 1978 , its incredible how they made that in 1978

I remember being very little and loving fnaf, so when I came across this I just kept watching videos of it non stop.

seeing this is so cool. i loved queenies performance was my favorite. couldnt help but to sing her song when i sasw this for the first time. something interesting i noticed was that queenies voice sounds way different at 9:55 this is truly an amazing moment in animatronic history.
4:58 Doggone to love 6:47 the classic dragstrip. The other one was sang by Mini Mozzarella. But this one is sang by little Queenie.
The songs were used in The Bochock Band animatronics.

I really love this band along with the Hard Luck Bears. So sad to hear that there is only 1 band existing plus the animatronics are deteriorating. Plus I bet this 1978 show mostly got destroyed.

So cool to see the earliest version of the Wolf Pack 5 performing. I love this version of Queenie more than the one with the yellow dress and I'm not a fan of Mini. Too high of a voice.
i like mini and queenie both but i do agree that this outfit is the best for queenie, i think she looks best in blue compared to the other versions that put her in yellow or pink, the blue stands out more against her red fur
@@memethyst agreed. And I guess I don't dislike Mini, it's just her singing voice. I like Queenie's cover of Dragsrip in the Sky much more than Mini's.

@@memethyst fun fact, Mitzi's early voice IS Mini's voice. They reused some tapes from the Wolf Pack 5 for the early RAE shows. There was another actress that came before Shalisa but after the person who does Mini so that might be what you mean.
@@gmrgamingrm aaron originally voiced mini and mitzi, but the mitzi voice was much higher than the mini voice. listen to mini's version then mitzi's [original] version of my boyfriend's back, then she was voiced by a woman for a few songs [sals birthday and disco christmas are the ones i know she voiced but she could've done more], then she was voiced by shalisa in 1982

@@luci5357 Yes its real, Queenie talks about her boyfriend Foxy. Then he went into a duel and won. Then, He goes in his hot rod and crashed and died. In the lyric, "Foxy's gone away from me, I never said goodbye." That means that he died and the phrase "Dragstrip in the sky" means that he went to heaven. That solves it. Thank you for asking!

It's done in the style of 60s teenage tragedy songs like "Leader of the Pack" by the Shangri-Las (complete with the same car crashing stock sound effects!)

Fun fact this wolf pack was sold to a business man in Japan and they was used in Kobe 1981 for a trade show. They were also used in Osaka in a family amusement park. The wolf pack 5 has still not been found in japan or anywhere eles. That band was the first and was kept somewhat original to the 75' IAAPA

It turns out the animatronics were left to rot in Osaka. They are in very bad condition. There is a video showing it.

These are the original ones! This video was from the first time they were ever seen by the public at the IAAPA Convention in 1978. Showbiz used similar ones but different none the less.

Listening to the classic Dragstrip for the first time.. I fr didn’t expect Queenie to sound like that. Probably won’t hear the Showbiz Dragstrip the same ever again

I noticed that this wolf pack 5 is slightly diffrent from the 1979 version of the show in that version the characters movement are a little more fluid and natural looking then they do here

Why was Queenie so quickly replaced? Does anyone know the story behind it?
Not sure if you know this by now but..
The workers at creative engineering wanted to replace Queenie with a mouse character. The reasons that they wanted this to happen was because 1. Mouses are associated with cheese the main ingredient of a pizza.
2. Disney had a mouse and CEC had a mouse.
Aaron wanted to be different though. But Aaron ended up making Mitzi to not look like a "control freak"
