my favorite part in fact his videos helped me on a dell i have a long time ago i watched a video about capacitors i found a bad one removed it and like 3 years later we still use that laptop. its next to me right now beside my bed my wife still uses it. i mean no capacitor it cant short anymore lol
That's not a MOSFET, that's an 8-pin SOIC that identifies as a wire.
That MOSFET identifying as a wire is meant there as part of an isolation network that allows the EC to "unplug" the main power.
Used to be for diagnosis in the old IBM era, then it was implemented as a way to condition batteries, then later it was there as a legacy bit of circuit that no-one really knows why it was there, in the laptop you fixed, it looks like it would've been used to "unplug" the mains adapter when a USB-C mains adapter is plugged in.
I'm surprised they never changed that same circuit and more surprised that the circuit was USB-C ready 20+ years before USB-C was "invented".
I wish they were all that straightforward!

Easy pizza. The 3 sizes of capacitor is to low the esr in a wide range of frecuencies. When I make a power supply I allways add a .1 capacitor in parallel with the electrolitic.

The computer shops should be taking less on machines they can't fix.

I am not a technician but my laptop is having an error
BL initialise library failed 0xc0000185
How to fix it please help me
I understand that you are getting a black screen with BI InitializeLibrary failed 0xc000185.
Please perform the below steps and check.
Hard Reset:
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected.
3) Remove the Battery. ( not for Built-in Battery computer )
4) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds.
5) Plug-in the Adapter and put the Battery back into the computer if it's a (removable battery)
6) Try to turn on the computer and check, If the issue persists continue next step
Set BIOS default and restart:
Restart your notebook.
During startup, press F10 repeatedly until the BIOS menu is displayed.
Once the BIOS menu is displayed, press F9 to restore factory defaults.
Select Yes to confirm.
Press F10 to save changes and exit.
Select Yes to confirm.
The computer restarts using the default settings.

@@bazdesh I don't think my laptop is having removable battery my laptop model is A715-42G acer company I gave to a technician there is is a bios fault he said and more things is I did a mistake.I used "diaper rash cream" as thermal paste after watching some CZcams video but it worked for 1 day properly and started getting this error is there any relationship with that.why will this error come in the first place can you explain
@@Dragunov1111 i tried entering into bios by pressing f2 which is the bios key but didn't work and I also removed my SSD and used my friends SSD to check if there is fault in SSD but SSD was working fine and also tried turn on the laptop without any SSD but didn't find aby change
