REVIEW: HERMES PICOTIN LOCK 18: Clemence leather, etoupe and gold HW- should you buy it? Luxury bag

- This video is my full review of the Picotin Lock 18 after using it for several months. I have an unboxing video that goes into more of the bag specs- so I'll leave that link below if you're interested in more about the bag. This is more about my thoughts, pros/cons, and recommendations after using this bag for 4 months!

I bought this bag directly from the Hermes boutique. My camera makes some of the stitching look brighter in some areas, which makes it look imperfect for some reason, it's just the camera!
I cannot link this bag directly from Hermes, as this is typically only available in store, although I have heard that rarely one can be found on the Hermes website, so check there! Here are some pre-loved options that I found- I cannot personally verify authenticity, so if you end up purchasing from the pre-loved market, make sure you get it authenticated and buy from a reputable source so you aren't scammed!!

It has held up so well! There really is something about the quality of the leather! It’s much more plush and soft than any of my other bags!

I got one preloved and its so soft it falls down on itself 🤣 i really like it tho its so slouchy and so durable (it was used for 4 years and still very presentable)
Which color/leather did you get? It is definitely a soft bag! Especially clemance leather! It’s one of my favorites. I love how thick the leather is! Maybe you could try one of the bag inserts to see if it helps hold the shape? I have the thinner one from Samorga and it fits perfectly!
@@merloveslux i got the clemence in etoupe with gold hardware its so soft 🤣 I only use it when I'm running fast errands to the shops or whatnot but my daily go-to bag is still my lindy 30 also i etoupe but with palladium hardware. Hermes leathers are no joke they're soooo good and the craftsmanship too, for me a bag of this quality is worth it for its price.
Ahh the same one I have! Love it! Oh how do you like your lindy? I’ve been contemplating asking for one! But I’m still having trouble deciding between asking for a Birkin or a Kelly😂
@@merloveslux i really like the lindy's hands-free experience but its kind of hard to use on a commute because of how finicky it is to get inside the bag but its also good that way for added security, I also love its outer pockets as I use them quite often and from 2 years of wearing the bag haphazardly I hardly see any signs of wear from it. I had a kelly before i think its 25cm. it's easier to use because of the strap, and is more stylish in my opinion compared to the birkin, I think the birkin kinda looks off and with the added 2 buckles for the front lock straps its very hard to get into it unless you use it tote-style (I use my kelly tote style too with the flap inside) and the birkin can get very heavy when you put stuff inside. Do you have the ysl sac de jour? I think that one is a better choice ifb you're not really aiming for the cream of the crop bag and just wants a daily luxury bag that can last you a very long time.
I actually love the YSL sac du jour- I don’t have it, but have always loved the look. I think I am leaning more toward the Kelly for the versatility. I love that you use it tote style- that’s so smart!!
