I am definitely in the boat that I thought the Odin 2 was too big, already have a steam deck didn't need another device with similar portability to the deck but this mini one will be the perfect pocketable companion to the deck, I think it is absolutely a necessary device because no company has come out with a high end pocketable handheld yet period.
I bought a Retroid pocket 4 pro when it released because it seemed like it played games well and was small enough for my liking. I painfully preordered the mini because it seems to be about the same size with much better performance. Once my wallet heals I’m pretty positive I’ll be happy with my purchase. Hopefully I can sell the Retroid to a friend tho lol.

I'm hyped for it, makes me very happy I never bought an RP4 or Odin 2, this is the best of both worlds.

I'm super tied up because I'm in the market for a daily coucher device to play my mobile games on that I typically use my phone for... The new mini looks amazing and so reminiscing of my childhood, but I'm not sure if it's better to go bigger with a better battery, or smaller, as some of the games I play may need heavy touch screen use and the Odin 2 is a bit big and might feel clunky... I love them both and don't know what to get 😭
I hope Ayn goes back on the Ayn Loki Zero and Max series. I love the new Ayn Odin 2 Mini.

The only thing I'm scared for is the battery life, their newest video shows that at max settings at 50% brightness playing genshin impact it gets 2 1/2 hours which isn't the best, I hope they show more and give more for battery, because thats the only thing holding me back
how long do you play games in a single sitting?
@@cheeeeezewizzz that's not what I'm trying to say, I just don't want to be playing something, then get off and leave the device in stand by for a bit and then come back a day later and Its at like 20% the Odin 2 from what I've seen has incredible stand by time, and I'd want that for the mini especially if when I play for an hour the device goes down almost 50%
Can you run steam on this?
No not natively, you can stream games from a PC using Steam link tho
I believe these 2 devices can do everything that is available for android at this point. I need AYN do to another windows device that could challenge the Lenovo Legion go or ROG Ally. PS3 Emulation is great!

Rog ally and legion go are hideous and bulky handhelds
@@MrMartellSincere I love them. Battery sucks but Perfection for my hands and eyes. It does everything my laptop/desktop can do. Mind you I love my Gen 1 Odin Pro.

Doesn't Ayn make or own the Retroid company?
I don't think they own retroid but i imagine there's communication between the two companies since their software can be similar at times
They are in no way related.
