10:00 Your long blade is definitely defective. The color should be uniform from end to end. You should contact customer support and have them mail you a replacement blade.

I'll be honest. My ahsoka long blade does the same thing. When I switch it to the savio's custom the long blade is fine.

I'm a fan of minimalist design and love Ahsoka's lightsabers. They're my favorite in the Star Wars Universe.
Install better batteries for a slightly improved performance of the blade and quicker response times. Might be defective still but could help alot.

3:42 The “dust cover” as you call it is supposed to simulate the light saber powered off basically showing you the inside of the emitter. It’s not just a dust cover. It’s a shame though that it’s not two toned black with medal silver in the center as is with the plug inserts on the Hasbro Force FX Removable blade lightsabers.

You'll love them! I'd recommend brining a big backpack to carry them and maybe some rubber bands or a strap to hold the 2 blades together. Carrying it around the park was a pain and you have to take it with you on the Millenium Falcon ride which sucked. 😓

Change the batteries for the long blade.
It might work better.
White led is just all the colors at once which uses a lot of power.
Black is all the colors white is void of any color.

It's the same when it comes to light. And the colors made in a rainbow is water refracting light through water.

@@FaceSmackerStudios I'm currently in the process of saving up for a trip some day whenever that happens lol about how much would you say would need to be saved for a trip for two? Like park food, souvenirs, attractions like the lightsaber and droid forge. I was also told that there are special hotel rooms inside of the park that are Star Wars themed to your knowledge is that true? Sorry for the random questions, I understand if you were super tunnel vision of the specific things you were after lol I would have been! Thanks for any info you can think of!
@@gingerbinge9809 Its really hard to put an exact number on how much to save. Park prices vary based on the time of year you go, if you get a park hopper, if you get a multiday special from an agent or somewhere. But I do know the custom saber is $215 and the Droid will run you about $100 each. As for food, expect to spend at least $10 per meal per person there. I personally like to bring some Mcdonalds burgers with me to save on food. lol. And as for the Star Wars Hotel, that will be located at Disney World in Florida. No offical open date for it yet, but estimates are sometime in 2020 or 2021. So in a nutshell, just calculate what you can and maybe add a couple hundred more as a buffer because you will defiantly see things there that you want and didnt plan for. And Disney stuff is expensive...and yet they still get out money..😂

Awesome Ahsoka Tano light sabres, they definitely look worth their price tag, along with the carrying case, as well as most of it being made out of metal. My favourite version of the light sabre, is Darth Maul's (Ray Park, Toad in X-Men, Snake Eyes in the G.I. Joe films), staff light sabre. He could also separate his light sabre staff, into two separate ones if I recall correctly?

Thanks! 😅. They actually had Maul's sabers there. But they only sell one side of his hilt so you need to buy 2 to build his duel sided saber. And may the force be with you too!

Nice. I really like the new Ahsoka Tano Rebels lightsabers =] I also say try changing to better batteries as well but also see about getting new blades just to see if something might be up with those

When I started using it like really parrying and slashing, the light goes off at random. Can anyone tell me why? Also why did I not find these, Luke's green or Obi-Wan's when I went? So many sabers were out of stock apparently.
They dont withstand battle that well even though they are said to be "battle ready." The blade is probably bending when you hit it and the contacts on the inside lose connection momentarily so light goes off. And it looks like Disney didn't anticipate the demand for the lightsabers and thus sold out. 🤦♂️
Just got mine and I had the same problem with 1 of the blades. I bought 2 36inch rather than 1 of each size. I'm still happy
Try using high end powerful batteries. Like Energizer Lithium and such. It wont fully cure the Yellow, but if your lucky, the batteries will make it a bit brighter and help hide the yellow a bit more. 👍
@@FaceSmackerStudios yeah I'm gonna do that as well. I also discovered the larger hilt doesn't make any sound effect sounds aside from the blade turning on and off. So no movement or clash sounds.
Also I wouldn’t smack the hilt too much as well and that also applies to the custom sabers otherwise you’ll mess up the functions to the hilt and connection points. Trust me that happens!
My friend is going in August he can’t wait to create some of his own lightsabers
Its seriously a fun experience. Its pricey, but totally worth it if your a Star Wars fan!

The hilts are too fat for my taste. The show versions are way thinner. Not worth the money if they aren’t accurate.
Might not be the blade that's the problem. Try the blade from the Zavi's Workshop saber & see if it has the same issue. Also try switching the short & long blades around to see if the issue persists with the blade or the hilt. It seems to be isolated to the last step of the LED string & it's lit the same way as the clash effect. If the Zavi blade & short blade have the same problem it's not a blade issue it's the hilt.
The problem follows the blade. Its kinda weird on the Savi one cause since its purple, the yellow area becomes a darker purple. 🧐Its just a bad blade. But now I wonder if the yellow part turns white when I clash it...😅. I already sent it back to Disney though. Still waiting to see what they say. Will have update video if all goes well.
I notice that with the white crystal from sovi's I got the yellow showing up at the tip as well and as the batteries died the blade became more yellow even with the white crystal so you maybe want to change the batteries
I have a question, I'm planning to get a decent lightsaber. Would anyone recommend that I go with something from SaberForge? Or does anyone out there have any advice?
Bought the ahsoka set tonight and yes it's defected . My blades looked off I went back in she said it's just that way but then they turned full yellowish green by the end of the night took them back Disney replaced the hilt free exchange, but yes the long blade still yellowish at the end the 26 is perfect. It's BS and Disney knows this that's what when you test them at the store they test it with the 26. It's a real downer on their most expensive hilt.
Try loading it with high end batteries like Energizer Max. The more power it has, the less yellow it is. It never truly goes away, but it looks better with good batteries. When it turns more yellow, its time to change the batteries again...😒
In my opinion its manly for looks but it's also great that it lights up aswell

Oh man..I feel bad for not reviewing them now since youve been waiting. 😓. I actually gave up on looking for them. I pack my stuff really well with shrink wrap and packing paper so when I open a box of toys in storage, all I see is taped up packs of bubble wrap and paper...and I didnt want to have to repack everything again. 😅 Sorry. ☹️. But as for my favorite character....thats a hard one. I think it changes with every movie. But I do love Stormtroopers! Does that count? 😅 But Chewbacca is def a good choice too!

Try putting in your Savii lightsaber Blade, those seem to work and fix that issue.

If these sell well, they just might. Star Wars land is in it for the long haul. I wouldn't be surprised to see a huge selection of hilts within the next 5-10 years if these are popular.
Honestly Disney’s metal hilt lightsabers are pretty doo doo when it comes to quality , the detail on their hilts are fantastic though. If you want a good collectors edition, metal hilt, battle ready lightsaber with sounds then I highly recommend hasbro’s black series lightsabers.
Right? They are all super cheap looking and you can get better quality through some of the online retailers that are available. These must look super plastic-y and cheap.

I hear that the generic batteries are the reason for the delay. Put on some better ones.
I slapped in some brand spanking new Energizer Max batteries but it still has the delay. But the blade seems a tad bit brighter now. 🤷♂️

No, All of the blades are the same, the hilt is what determines the color for legacy sabers. The workshop saber colors are determined by the crystal.
What B T said. Only the Savi custom one has the ability to change both color and sound of the blade. But you must buy the corresponding kyber crystal to get the colors. Crystals are $13 each.

Wow just wow.That sure is expensive I did not think you were that big of a Star Wars fan but oh boy I was wrong.I have actually never seen a star wars movie in my life but I think it is still a great review and makes me want to see one of the star wars films.
Yah, some say I may be a Star Wars fan. 😅. And you should check out Star Wars, you may find yourself becoming a fan too! I'd recommend the original trilogy (Episodes 4-6) first. But for more modern CGI and film quality, Rogue One and The Force Awakens are good choices. Just please dont watch Episodes 1-3 or The Last Jedi as your first star wars films. It will ruin it for you. 😓

Believe it or not, the Disney sabers sold in the park is not really that expensive for an saber. After market sabers that have all of the bells and whistles like the Disney one's but can be use in full contact sparing can cost bout $300 to $1000 (depending where you go) . Not only that, an "hero" saber like this one can be double that in some places as well.

Yah, its really sad how fast Savi's shop slots go. I wish they built a second room, maybe even a third. But win win for the Temple guard saber! If I didn't spend so much already, that would have been my 3rd saber purchase. 😅 Followed by Obiwans, Mace Windu, Kylo Ren...😆

@@Ronin559_ If you can go to Savi's and make a custome one. Then buy the Yellow and White kyber crystals, they will make the exact same sound effects and have the same blade color. Saying you dont mind not having those hilts.
FaceSmacker! Studios I think I might just do that? I was there a few weeks ago but there were no yellow kyber crystals left and the Savi’s workshop was booked. I’m going back next weekend with my brother so we will probably build one now that we can make reservations online.

The blades look kind of dim. Not sure if it's just the video or not.
Its just the video. I adjusted the setting so that you can actually see the blade. Otherwise it totally blew out the contrast and the blade was just a blazing fuzz of white light. 😅 Its bright.

Just bought these and I'm having the same problem I've watched this video before buying and remembered to check if the blade if it had that problem too which it did so I asked if they could replace it with a new one but it still had the same problem.. even the demo blades they were using had the same problem..could be that the batch we got all have the same problem..please lmk if you find a solution

I think they look better (the legacy ones) but the experience of creating one must be better

They're not really comparable honestly. Both are made of metal, but the Legacy ones are made to look film accurate and may contain plastic and rubber parts. The Custom ones are pretty much all metal outter shells. But as for the blade, they all use the same type. And as for sound, they all have the same slight delay and use what seems to be the same battery module. So its really about which style calls to you. 😉

That blade discoloring is sooooo unacceptable. I dealt with slight dark spots on Force FX blades back in the day but nothing that stood out that much. The whole product is so bad ass but that ruins it for me. FOr that price I wouldnt expect anything like that.

Yes. Only California and Florida Disney's will have Star Wars Land. Florida's doesnt open until August though.

You math doesn't check out because you falsely assume that every inch of the blade is proportionately cost the same. But as we know the bottom contains more electronic components that are going to be the same in both blades, which make up the more of the component price.
