- This video really came down to the wire, I started production shortly after Sora was confirmed to be the final fighter which left me with less than a week and a half to try and start and finish this. Still I hope it was all worthwhile and my small way of sending off Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with a tribute. This also isn't to say that this is the way things should've gone or that they should strive to get these other characters next time or anything like this, I consider this my headcanon for how the story of Smash ends. Special thanks to Tanooki98 for voicing Mario in this video!

If only we *did* had more cutscenes of story ark, this Is the closet thing we ever gotten!
I'm personally hoping the next has the same and levels like the Subspace Emissary. That saga was a good chunk of my adolescence.
I really wish they kept the story mode and smash run, being able to explore more interactions between these character, find canon information like all the smash characters being clones, and explore different locations from different games as well as fighting different enemies from different games too, all of that would have truly been great with the animation quality and full voice acting of ultimate. But hey if fans can mod to a degree of programming and coding their own characters into the game, whose to say that someone won’t make a story mode that we can all accept.
@CEO of Robberism yeah but they are truly not likely to put that into ultimate with how much work they put in already or it would’ve been there at the start, and there won’t be this many people in the next one so it’s just always going to feel incomplete to me personally.

Honestly this is the best content for Sora in Smash I have seen!
That was the door to darkness, which means all of those worlds were swallowed by the darkness and thus overrun by heartless and possibly nobodies or unversed
Honestly this is such a great metaphor. Sora being here PROVES anything is possible with Smash
considering how many of these character made it as mii costumes, it has always been shows that it was possible from a LICENSING point of view, and though master chief didnt even appeared as a spirit, considering that nintendo got banjo and steve in, its not like microsoft is the super stingy type with its IPs like... well most japanese corps including nintendo itself. still.
they didnt made it in as characters because of development resource limitation and time restrictions (even a giant of the industry like nintendo wouldnt had been able to pump so many fresh detailed characters without compromising other projects), so the dev team made their choices for who they would prefer the most to make it as true characters.
honestly, i just wished that pyra&mythra or just Rex had made it to the vanilla game way back then as sakurai mentioned Rex was initially planned for the games release but couldnt make the cut in time. and that, instead of byleth and sephiroth (the 2 from feanchises already in smash) were whole new characters. my 3 picks would had been dante, doomslayer and rayman. if possible crash instead of rayman but i was accounting for those that got into the game in some other way.

This would’ve been the greatest reveal in smash bros history for if they decided to surprise everyone with Sora opening the keyhole to reveal a whole batch of requested characters.
Except that goes against Sakurai saying that Sora is the final DLC character for Smash Bros Ultimate.

After watching Sora's reveal,it gave me a feeling of....hope.Sure,maybe it wasn't this tim,but...I have a feeling that whatever the future may hold for smash,I think it will be great

i would have also liked it if it wasnt a reveal but a way of saying (bit long sorry)

Honestly, if they do decide to make another Smash, I want them to just port Ultimate and add in all the characters in this vid as DLC.
I believe now smash will head to a new direction. I see them making smash 6 starting out with the original N64 character-and maybe even some melee characters like peach-and the rest of the roster being completely new characters.
Of course, they’ll also have less characters in the roster-maybe like 32 or something.
I know not when, nor where or how. But someday, our dreams will come true.
Honestly, aside from the crossover, this should’ve been what World of Light should’ve gotten rather than just an Event Match alternative. I can imagine this moment being included in WOL if it had the Subspace Emissary value.
I feel a lot of people whine and complain saying stuff like “screw you sakuri! You didn’t put goku,waluigi,Geno, Dante, and many others in the game” Super smash Bros ultimate is such a large game that had so many hours put into developement. I just want people to be grateful and understand what sakuri has done to make all of this possible

Thank you. As a Geno advocate since the Brawl days, I remember when we weren't disrespected and mocked endlessly for liking a badass possessed puppet. It really was the Grinch Leak that forever cemented Geno Gang into the realm of ridicule, and I find it rare to even be able to talk about Geno these days without backlash.
So once again, thank you. You made him perfect. This whole video was very well done.
I love Geno's "Hey guys, long time no see. Miss me?" sorta look at the camera. That glance spoke a thousand words. This honestly made me kinda emotional. Excellent job.
Mario is the best jumpman! He's got to meet so many other characters. Final Fantasy characters and much others, who would have known? So happy for Mario's adventures. 😊👏🏽
Sora is the key to tomorrow! He locks away the past, the end of Ultimate, but hopefully unlocks a new shining future Smash ~ Also Love the animation! It felt like a "We are all here" sweet moment.

Be this the next game or a mod made by the community, I look forward to the future with everyone of these characters included. Even if it'll take multiple different factors, I want this now more than ever even if just for my personal enjoyment. Great video man

Epic animation skills. I got super emotional seeing Crash and Spryo, and Sora again. Sobs. I’m so glad he got in but this would have made everyone in Super Smash Bros so happy if it were Cannon. Omg I can imagine the hype and people crying for these characters. Light prevails in the darkness and our hearts are united to show us the light. Gosh that sounds very cheesey. It feels like telling all the other Smash fans: "We see you, we know you are disappointed, but that's ok, because we see you."
It's like when you're at a house party and you were hoping your friend would show up and they didn't, and you feel a little bummed, but they swung by later for 5 minutes to tell everyone hi, and drove off, and for some reason you feel better about it and the rest of the night was a little better.

Mii Costumes and Assist trophies at least allow characters to be represented while they won't be playable.
@@ChaudTheGamer you dont seem to realize how cumbersome it is to get 3rd party reps. A lot of negotiations are needed. Not only that but the development for each character also takes a lot of effort as we saw with the 2 season passes

considering its significance and how he was thought to be mostly unbelievable because he belongs to 2 super IP stingy companies (remember square barely gave their other IPs in smash songs or even english voices. Sora somehow came with a more decent pack of content) i would say sora is more like a whole new layer to the cake than just icing.
Honestly besides Dante, Doom Slayer, Phoenix, Kiryu, 2B and Rayman
Everything else would be eh/meh or no for me
My dream "FP3" based in what i think that it was not deconfirmed and lowkey possible would be Nahobino, Amaterasu, Someone from Zelda, Phoenix Wright and a FE character without a sword and Scorpion/Sub Zero to fill the big FGC quartet (but since he is banned in Japan i would go with Morrigan, Chun Li or someone from Soul Calibur)
But i think that if we "realistically"(since It will not happen) would get a third pass it would be:
Gen 4/8 Pokémon
Rayman/Crash
Raven Beak /Another Square Enix Rep
Tales of Vesperia protagonist
FGC rep (probably from Capcom)
Probably someone from the next FE game
But i'm content with what we aleardy have

The story of smash may have ended, however it’s spirit will live on for years to come. This game has affected everyone who plays the games. No matter young or old, competitive or casual, we’re all connected to each other. Sure their may have been some bumps along the road, but it is worth it to get to our final destination. I’d just want to say, thank you. Thank you all to the people who play this game or any other smash bros games. Thank you game designers, coders, animators, etc, for putting so much effort into these wonderful games. And a huge thank you to Sakurai, without you, smash wouldn’t have been the same. You have brought so may people together, and it makes me proud be be one of the many people who watched and experienced the growth of this community. You have put so much love and care into this game, and it shines through with every little detail. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.
As for you reading this comment, thank you for listening to my rambling. This game has been a major part of my childhood, and to go on without showing my appreciation for this game in any way, shape or form would upset me. So once again, thank you everybody for your inclusion of being a community of people that I could consider not just aa a random group of people, but as a second family.
