How to Install Inside Mount Arch Shades

Most people think installing their own arch shade is difficult. Follow the simple step-by-step instructions in this video, and you'll have your arch shade installed in no time.
1. Begin by forming the arch on a tabletop. Unwrap the string from around the fabric end of the rail.
2. Remove the end cap on the opposite side of the rail. While holding onto the support string with one hand, gently slide the filler strip out of the rail with your other hand. Stop when the fabric reaches the end of the rail.
3. Bend the filler strip over and slide the end of it into the top pleat. Gently push the strip in until it reaches the other end of the pleat.
4. Pull the fabric over and fan the shade out, then slide the bottom pleat into the end of the rail. Make sure the support cord is threaded through the center pleat of the shade.
5. Place the brackets 2” - 4” in from each end of the window, and make sure the front edge is flush with the wall. Make a mark through the screw hole in the bottom of the bracket, then pre-drill the holes using a 5/64” drill bit.
6. Secure the brackets with the screws provided.
7. Attach the shade to the brackets. Tilt the front of the shade toward you so the front lip of the rail hooks onto the front of the brackets. Then push the rail back and press down firmly until the back of the brackets catch onto the rail.
8. If you want to use the support cord, tie a small screw to the end, and secure the screw to the top of the arch window. If you want to use support clips, insert clips no more than 19” apart along the arch window. Bend out the front prong of each clip, and then place the back of the shade between the prongs. When you’re ready, use your fingers to pinch the prongs together, holding the fabric in place.

It would be nice to these instructions with the shade..
Very good instructions. I don't have a bottom to my arch window, except a very narrow window sill before the arch starts. It looks like an all in one window plus arch without any significant separation. Do you have any suggestions on how I can install the arch shade securely?
I have this same window/arch situation. Did you figure out how to properly install arch blinds like these? Is it possible?
@@JediMasterASD Not really. Custom is probably the way to go. I've tried two different arches but neither fit right.

I'm an installer. How far back is the window recessed into the wall? If you have a few inches, you can install what's called a palladian shelf, which will create a suitable and stylish platform for your shade to be installed on.

You can slow down or speed up the talking on any CZcams video by selecting the little gear icon in the upper right corner. I find that really helpful if the person is talking too fast or most times too slow for me lol
These are the worst instructions. The string doesn't even reach far enough on the arch blinds I got like it does in the video. It doesn't slide in easily like it does in the video. The instructions in this video aren't even included in the box it's completely wrong. Worst user experience.
