if you wanna 3d print the board, Dragons Rest patreon has a full complete 3d gameboard for HQ
Great build. loved the game back in the day when it originally came out, not played it for decades now since all grown up and everyone I played with are scattered all over the place. The board looks amazing, you should talk to the owners about making them for everyone as not everyone (e.g. me) can make it or even pain anymore. Hope you and your family really enjoy your new board!
LoL....i was watching parts 1 and 2.....first thing that came to mind as you were building the second layer of wall was.....yup this board is cool....but how da frag can they forget about doors at this stage.
But it really was a clever way to make those doors.

Incredible HQ board! I love how home-made it is, down to each and every brick! Really dig the aesthetic and tribute to the original board! Definitely a work of love, congrats! This is really cool! If you purchased the new version of this game, your board will still be the perfect scale but will also have updated miniatures and 3d (cardboard-less) furniture

Thank you! It is a bit hard to store, but I found a way. I don't even know how many hours went into the project. It was made over several weeks on and off.

What kind of hot wire foam cutter did you use to make the bricks? I feel like making this board would cost like -$500+ haha. It looks soooo good though

Hey heath! I want to paint my minituares too. What colors did you use?
It has been so long since I painted these, I can't remember. But I did use the Army Painter paints and tried to match them as closely to the colors on the original release of HeroQuest as possible.

How long did it take?
I don't remember because we did not work on it every day. But it was overall weeks of work.
