You hit the nail on the head with the last question. I too just enjoy shooting and feel it can often enhance experiences. Sometimes it will push me to do things I might not otherwise or take a closer, prolonged look at my surroundings. And as far as memories go, pictures are great but video puts me right back to when/where I shot and that is worth it's weight in gold.
Always enjoy your skiing content, the joy you talk about in the last segment is obvious when you hit jumps while talking and let out the excited noise each time. Thanks

haha those early vids bring back memories. i remember when i was like 12 or something DMing you to ask you if twin tips were a good investment for skiing park after watching your USC vids, back when you could actual DM on youtube. awesome to see all the change with you/gopro over the years

Yah! Just put some spare fingers on the battery door with epoxy :)
It feels like a new accessory in beta testing 😝
the Gopro in this vid looks like it has a second set of mounting feet on the side of it. is that and actual product or a jimmy rig situation?

How is your audio so good? Voice sounds so clear and barely any wind noise.
He is like “I hope the wind noise isn’t too bad.” He is skiing and still clear as day! I make one quick move and I have to throw out all my audio! Haha
All of the skiing audio was shot with a lav mic inside of my jacket! The stuff on the chairlift was straight from the gopro

A question for Abe! Why most of your videos are in 30fps? Is that cos u can use 1/60 shutter and get a desired motion blur as much as u can?
Because if you combine a MAX footage with gopro 10 you could easily interpolate frames and get nice looking 60fps footage ..
I’ve never been a fan of 60fps personally, so I shoot and edit in 30. It has nothing to do with shutter speed.

Is that a side door with foldable feet on it that I spot?
It is! I made it though. Grabbed spare feet on the website and an H9 door (since it’s metal) and used JB weld metal epoxy. Works great and can swap to different cameras 👌🏻

Hahah, technically no, someone else was behind the camera. But I did add bokeh in photoshop and printed them at Costco photo center…
