- The White Room a road movie, about the KLF's search for the mystical White Room that would enable them to be released from their contract with Eternity.
This is 1991 version, with updated soundtrack.
All copyright belong to KLF Communications and Bill Butt - Hudba
Cheers 4 sharing..I can actually say that I smashed the KLF,s white room studio apart & accidentally flooded it after trying to remove a toilet whilst squatting Benio ( the location of the rave scene in beginning)back in the 90,s...we had the last crazy parties there b4 it became housing association flats..big up Jerry Dammers for the tunes& crazy Nu York dancers..big up all the Sunshine Underground...big up our neighbours the Beatmasters&big up Jimmy Cauty 4 supporting Penzance,s struggling Red Wing Gallery- & watch out for the KLF comeback later this year..Meanwhile .... Death 2 All Distraction..! X
What a fun scene to have been part of. Looks like the dancefloor area was enormous, for a terraced house!
Waited 24 years to see this. Thanks for the upload.

One masterpiece. Anyway, for those who are wondering what '1991 Version' means, this is not the original soundtrack, as it didn't contain any of the 'LP Version' of the White Room tracks. The '1989 Version' had 1 track from Pure Trance Original (at the party), 6 tracks from the OST and 5 tracks from Chill Out, as detailed below.
1. What Time Is Love (Pure Trance Original)
2. 3 a.m. Eternal (White Room OST)
3. 3 a.m. Somewhere Out Of Beaumont (Chill Out)
4. Wichita Lineman Was a Song I Once Heard (Chill Out)
5. Make it Rain (White Room OST)
6. Build a Fire (White Room OST)
7. Madrugada Eterna (Chill Out)
8. Go to Sleep (White Room OST)
9. Elvis on the Radio, Steel Guitar in My Soul (Chill Out)
10. 3 a.m. Somewhere Out Of Beaumont (Chill Out)
11. Church of the KLF (White Room OST)
12. The White Room (White Room OST)
A second '1989 Version' also ends with another piece of WTIL, the best in my opinion.
Thanks for posting this, great info!
Good lookin' out!
Just found it very chill , very different from oriJ vinyl Brought a Tee today guess who ?
The KLF characterise a beautiful way of life with this film, one of my favourite bands of all time. So simple, so good. End of an era, there will be no more bands like this one. So much freedom in this film, so much positive thoughts.
Soon to be 30 years old. Still timeless, edgy, irresponsible, irrelevant, irreverent brilliant, bizarre, and yet perfect.
Get yourself a nice cup of tea, put on your slippers and tell your kids that this is what it was all about... Drummond was lightyears ahead of us all.
Just finally doing that as you recommended.
Perfect Sunday mood
After all these years just hearing this. And now... I SEE
The best "Road Trip and/or "concept" movie since "Vanishing Point".
I have a 30 year old "play KLF" tattoo on my wrist and see this version for the first time.
It's taken me over 2 decades to find this and while I did forget about it for a while, it sure was great to see this today. Thank you so much for sharing this.

I love you the KLF , it,s my life...
Word
Who is still looking for the White Room in 2020
and what do you think it really is after all these years ?
It’s the room Jimmy Cauty walked into and banksy walked out of ..
Perhaps the real White Room was the friends we made along the way.

Love the fact Drummond and Cauty driving around the Southern Spainish plains still with a London A-Z on the dash......brought back memories. Before Google Maps, the trusty A-Z was in most Londoners houses. Was he first 5 minutes filmed in the real Transcentral? A Squatted house in Camberwell- South London I believe- amazing to think many of their hits were recorded in that basement.
I think it's fair to say we know where Daft Punk got the idea for their movie Electroma.
Yep.
I’d say that’s nearly common knowledge now! However I am amused by the stark contrast between DP’s Ferrari 400i and KLF’s beat-up shit-pile of a car! Brilliant!
I remember telling my boss about these 2 blokes that had burned a million quid on the telly. He called me a bullshitter. I don't think we will ever see the likes of these 2 ever again. The world is a much duller place now, unless....
Thank you i've been looking for a copy of this movie for twenty years i love these guys they are the doors of our generation.. KLF are going to rock ya!
"Time is a turtle."
Kocham KLF....Moje lata młodości...
I love them.
And, after this trip, there is no turning back.
They are pure art geniuses.
Surviving Cars: While the original Timelord met a rather unfortunate end (it was banger raced in 1991), there are two impressive replicas of the Ford Timelord still on the road in the UK today
I bastard love this
Oh wow! This is a workprint! I recognize the grease paint markers where crossfades & dissolves were to be placed in the conformed final master. :D
100 years ago a legendary being was born. It brought forth the era of the King of Dance.
Shot in Granada and the winter sports resort of Sierra Nevada, nearby Granada. The southernmost ski resort in Europe.
Watching this movie is like finding the Holy Grail. A combination of excitement and disappointment. I first heard about this movie in the early nineties- as a teenager. Back then, I told myself that I would probably buy it on VHS, in the near future. Today, at age 42, I watched it for the very first time. I have often heard people say that the only thing worse than not getting what you want is getting it. I think that they are right.
liberation loophole!
This is what the KLF are about!
They are legendary. Trolled the entire music industry while the became the biggest seeking single and sent a dead sheep to awards party then burned a million quid. Anarcho punk as Fuck and damn near owned the early rave scene too. Lulz for the win.
the first 3-4 minutes with the music alternating with the primeval drums or hearbeats, are a kind of video Art ... a documentary, ...whatever...
burned in my memory
I had no idea that KLF had done this road movie, it's awesome, thanks for sharing
Jodorovsky movie, mystical and silent...
Besides sampling the theme from Twin Peaks for Build a Fire this movie is definitely heavily imspired by the TV show as well
the very rare footage of klf music video kudos to you mate
I love this film, I think I still have a copy of this somewhere
Best!!!!
A timless eternal cosmic masterpiece.

Very intriguing
OMG! Thanks for sharing!
The small villages footage was taken in Andalucía. No doubt.
1 Word KLF!
Masterpiece, thanks for sharing
ONE LOVE "KLF"
Is it me? Or does this film seem to pay tribute to 2001: A Space Odyssey, near the ending where this guy enters a White Room?
The white paint really shows how rusty ford timelord was lol
this makes me ache
rare piece
would be nice to restore the film in real HD
This is still better quality than one would expect from a place like this.
@@nolongersilent8008 Who needs HD? This is timeless
Much better than the 89 version
The KLF has always lured me. But I always feel I have never quite gotten it. Maybe there's nothing "to get". Maybe they are just playing a joke on me... But I'm enjoying the ride :-)
read The KLF: Chaos, Magic and the Band who Burned a Million Pounds Paperback by John Higgs
KLF - Technoshamans
nice ending
My father edited this video.
Helps me forget
Fuking awesome
cool and beyond
Worst episode of top gear ever!!!
In all seriousness, i heard of this project in the early 90s and as a big KILF fan back then, i really wanted to see this. As the years passed i thought this film was a myth, but thankfully youtube has allowed this to be uploaded.
So is this the film the KLF wanted to make? Has anyone edited this, aside from the sound track? How close is this film to their original vision? Even after 30 years the klf still have unanswered questions.
Great film by the way, never been to Jura but it looks gorgeous in the summer sun, and seeing a rave happening in Trancentral was just awesome!
It’s the KLF, don’t expect it to be about pleasing anyone
That's pretty much how I feel too :)
they kinda have - check out Wild Billy Childish & C T M F (The Chatham Forts).
bill drummond and jimmy cauty are members of C T M F
The KLF is _the Way_
I have a sudden urge to go on a road trip.
24.59 you gotta have a keyboard on your dash!
Indeed..
Anyone know where this filmed? At first I thought it was filmed in the States somewhere, now I`m thinking Spain. not that it matters, I love the KLF, music of the future
Yes its Spain.
Sierra Nevada region of Spain
At the beginning I thought the video was filmed in USA, but some places sounded to me....Those mountains, villages...It is the south of Spain, near Granada, Sierra Nevada...I´m Spanish...hahaha
well, after watching this video many times, they went from England-London to the south of Spain by that cop car for what?... (I suppose) to find MU MU Land? Is MU MU Land in Spain? Who knows it...
Liked 23 times...
MuMu!! The time is eternal
