    Former Harley and Indian rider. Recently purchased a new Goldwing and love it!!! I just emailed you. Hoping to schedule a time for you to install this guard and a few other things. Thanks for what you do. Very informative. I’m sure these video things are very time consuming but they are very much appreciated.

    My 2012 case was destroyed by road debris and the engine had to be pulled and rebuilt. $11,000 total and 6 weeks. I was lucky that at that time I had one of the best Goldwing techs in the country here in Dallas who did an excellent job. The engine guard from Traxxion is the cheapest insurance you can buy to protect your engine.

    I just finished one 2021, the owner damaged the case while liading the bike on a trailer, ramp was too step, I charged 10k with parts and labor , it took 6 months due to back orders, yes too many parts, the key is organization and keep all hardware in its original location , way easier at the time of reassembling.

      You mean lapse in buying judgement! This is a 30k motorcycle not a scooter. Its not fit for purpose and on Europe any repair would be free, you build these things to expect gravel and crap from the road, its not fit for purpose and if your not in a country with strong consumer rights then lobby Honda or this will keep happening. I will stick to my 2009 and 1999.

    For me the initial issue would be oil all over the rear tire and potentially put me in a bad situation health wise if anything breaks causing oil loss. Secondary is the damage to the engine. Glad I have that extra protection. Thanks Max for the peace of mind!!

    I was in my car on the highway yesterday and saw a large piece of wood in the road that would have caused me some trouble in my car. It looks like your guard would have been put to good use if a Gold Wing hit it.

    Why does that case boss and the small flange behind it look like it was ground down? Would bottoming the suspension out in a corner cause those to scrape?

    • @Traxxion
      @Traxxion  Před 2 lety

      No, there would have to be some rise or dip in the road also, like a speed bump or pothole.

    So has the great Honda company said what they intend to change and protect the engin case? NO!!! Why should they ?They can get away producing shit and it's our fault for driving them in the first place. If we left your godwind in the garage,they would argue,this would never happen. Way to argue it Honda!! That protection plate should be run of the mill of the production line at the price they are asking.
