- Hey guys what is up. Sorry in advance for the long video, but I wanted to make a video on the 3D printing software I use. There were a few questions on how to change some settings and I hope this video can help you. The 3D printer I use is the print rite 3D from hobby king and has worked really well for the 8 months I have had it. Really good first 3D printer and it is cheap!!!!

any idea how to set it to print in the centre?
mine keeps starting ad position 3 (right rear corner)
The cross section viewer is ideal for looking for manifold problems. If you load an .STL file, and its not manifold (Like most times) you can slice through to find where the problem areas are - they usually show up in white or a light highlight.
Do you know why an .stl disappears after slicing because that is all that's happening to me. I can't get an object after slicing
where do i change the print speed and acceleration ?
Hi. Thanks for your videos very helpful to me especially setting up the heated bed. One question. On the manual set up any idea what the row of numbers means only the question mark seems to work. Just curious. Cheers.
Thanks for watching my videos. I am not exactly sure what row of numbers you are referring too? could you be a little more specific?
Channel Everything Hi. Thanks for the quick reply. I am using Repetier-Host V1.5.5 when in manual mode the numbers are below the control icons. From left to right there is an icon I don't recognise then P 1 2 3 4 5 ? The question mark is in red. None of them seem to do anything? Sorry probably a stupid question but I'm new to this. Thanks.
honestly i have never used them . I think they can be set up for motor positions or writing scripts. If you go into the printer settings and click on the scripts tab there should be a drop down menu. You can turn the buttons on there when you write the scripts.
hey,
I have a problem with the connection between my 3D printer (Tevo Taranrula) to the repetier print setting.
When I click on the connect button show up error window.
( the connection failed with the following error: access to the post 'COM3" is denied.. Make sure your printer is connected, enabled and connection data is set correct. Open printer settings?)
I'm using win 10 on laptop. my printer is connecting via USB cable to port 3.
I install the software and go to the tab ''printer settings'' and fill:
port: com3
Baud Rate: 115200 / 230400 / (250000 like the tevo tarantula manual sey) I have tried all.
Please give me any advice !!!
Добрый день. подскажите, есть ли в Repetier Host настройка последовательной печать (если на печатающем столе несколько моделей, то печатать их не одновременно, а каждую отдельно). Если да, то как её активировать?
Ok I go5 a Folger tech 3D printer and I’m using repetiers newest firmware and in the program it shows the object in the center but when it prints it prints at the front of the bed any way to fix that?
The only thing I can think of is that the software doesn't know what the dimensions of the printer are... double check those settings first!
what should be the Xmin and Ymin and Zmin values for tronxy x1 3d printer(150*150*150) print size....can u please say that..
i have not heard of that printer before and upon some research I was unable to find instructions for it. so i can't really help you
great video mate thanks, but when I have it all ready to go I press print, green bar moves across bottom right (20/30 seconds) and then goes to 'print complete' with the printer actually moving, any help/advice much appreciated
thanks! here to help! does the printer remain connected at all times? are you able to control the printer through the menu? are you able to view the file that is going to print(preview section)?
You probably dont care but if you're bored like me atm then you can watch all the new series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my brother these days :)
@Dayton Arjun Yea, I have been using instaflixxer for since december myself =)
@@channeleverything3420 youre soo cool!!!! Please make more 3d printing videos!!!!!
Okay
Print Rite is not connecting.. help! Been testing com3 and 4, those are visible. Tested different baunds.
Do I need drivers for that?
Any other software that should work?
What if you put a file in the printer but nothing shows up. I see the square that the object fits in but not the object itself
So the program is just another slicer? I am in the process of looking for a creation program like tinkercad or better
Do you need to have your computer connected to the printer for the whole print?
Yes unfortunately you do... there are other printers that can print directly from and sd card. This printer does have an sd card slot but I couldn’t figure out how to set it up.
You really don't know that the option to slice something in half is in case you have something too big to print on your current bed size and cut it and print it in 2 or 3 and then put it together.
hi i am looking for a decent 3d printer for under 150 pounds is there any you could recomend
anycubic kossel on amazon decent printer i just bought it
still can't find it- guess im looking for a vid explaining why my motors aren't moving but are humming with a somehwat pleasant noise
Hmm I can try to help. Can you get any response of anything from your computer to the printer?? Like does the nozzle heat up? Or the extruded motor turn?
thanks for your reply. Yes, the bed, nozzle, fan, and thermistors all work fine. The x, y, and ext move one way. I'm going to try running the motors off different axis ports.
Yeah I was going to ask you to double the to make sure the motors are connected to the right ports. Let me know if it works!
Is there ANY way that I can Measure an object or part of the object that I'm going to Print for verification???????
Unfortunately no… you could try to open it in a CAD software and might be able to get dimensions off it. Generally once it is a .stl it makes it difficult to do.
Its like Cura in a lot of ways but Converting profiles from Slicer or importing from Cura FORGET IT>>>
🙏🙏👍👍👍
Anyone have the boud rate for ender 5 plus?
i am pretty sure it is 250000 if not try 115200 thats what the ender 3 uses. Hope this helps...
Channel Everything yes it did I got it working shortly after I tried 2500000 thank you for the help!
this doesnt make any sense. I click print preview and theres nothing there. Go back to object placement there it is, click print it says job finished, machine never moved.
This exactly is happening to me too
You probably already figured this out, but for anyone else having this issue, you must click the large "Slice with (your slicer here)" button. after which you will have an option to select "Show layer range" this will allow you to control where in the print you can see and essentially scrub through the print. It does NOT generate an animation with this software.
How do u import it to a file to print through usb
You have to make sure the software picks up the printer. Then you import a .stl fine into repitier and then slice it. Once you slice it there should be an option to print.
@@channeleverything3420 do u have to slice I only am trying to make the print bigger and when I try to print on the printer the file does not come up
And also won't let me get a print view
Yes you need to slice. It’s the only way the printer is going to know what to print. Once it is sliced you should be able to see a print preview as well.
@@channeleverything3420 thanks for responding to a vid a few years back i sat there for a few hours not wanting to slice the object don't ask me why idk thx btw
how do I create stl file?
What 3D modeling/cad software do you use? Generally you should be able to export a file from whatever software you are using.
@@channeleverything3420 nevermind.I got it already :)
V2.2.4 firmware was revised by an idiot who retracts the filament before a print start, resulting in a no print. You have to open the feeder so the filament does not retract, wait for the retraction to end, and then the print can commence.
sorry sam i thought u saw that video XD i might not like 3d printing but not gunna hate. if u wanna see the knives under 50$ vid here u go czcams.com/video/LS9dpFMS43A/video.html :)
