Just so you know, PAL never left the US. The downgrade prevented PAL from expanding US routes. It also prevented them from changing the type of plane they could use to service existing flights. So this was very untimely as they bought 6 777s just so they could expand to the US and Europe. Also, this is comment made my day by the way.

From LA to Manila the plane stops at Guam to refuel since it has a longer air route but from Manila to LA is a direct flight no stop over since it has a lesser air route though.
@MegaPhillips11 they stop at guam and you are right because like around hawaii the plane maybe could glide for an hour or two until it finnaly hits the ground
