    The Truth Warrior tried it and decided to start coloring again. Mine has been graying for a long time (I'm 65). Almost all silver. I love it. I'm African American and my hair is natural as well. I feel good about who I am...😎

    It's also so refreshing to hear a woman talk excitedly about what she loves about herself- like you're doing with your hair. You can tell you're authentic about it and it's just really refreshing because women are so conditioned to judge ourselves .

    It's been 2 years for me and I love it. My hair is three or four inches past my shoulders and my original dying color was a dirty blonde. I am one of those who have multiple colors on my head. My mother was a redhead and she was the same way. But I love it and I've had many compliments about it. I can't wait till it gets long. Best decision I ever made but I only wish I would have done it years ago.

    Thank you for sharing this!!!!! I just turned 40 in September and have really started noticing the grays coming in. Overall I am mostly OK with it, but sometimes I struggle because my mother-in-law and stepmother in law… One doesn’t have gray hair and the other one dies her hair. I always think about how I may look older than them by going gray when they’re not! I know it’s so ridiculous, but it’s some thing that’s been on my mind. Seeing others embrace this stage of life really helps. 💕💕💕

    I started my transition in September, 2020 so that makes it 19 months. I went from very dark brown to my natural color which is more of a medium brown. I did go down the route of putting highlights in to soften the transition. I’m glad I did, even though my hair was very dry from the bleaching. I did come across a product called K 18 hair prep which I recommend highly. I still use it to this day and my hair feels amazing. One thing I would recommend for ladies with long hair and that is to add layers your hair, because that’ll take away a lot of the color so layering your hair will not only make your hair look and feel thicker, but it also look healthier as most of the box color or dark color will be cut off. Transitioning was the best decision I made. At first my work colleagues were questioning my decision, but now they are in aww of my color and `natural highlights’.

    I am almost 67. I stopped dying my hair July 2021. I always had a reddish color, sometimes burgundy, chocolate cherry, plum. I don't miss it a bit. I am pleased so far. Hubs likes it too. It matches my grey blue eyes.

  • @leelulady2010
    @leelulady2010 Před 2 lety

    If you want to match the grow out better then get a simple green or ashy toner on the remaining artificial color, it will help the grow out to match better. Guy Tang has some wonderful products. You only need 7 or 10 volume. So much less damaging than a box dye.
    I'm fully grown out for 5 years now. That's what I did and it gave me so much confidence while growing it.
