My engine light just came on lastnight, I got a diagnostics & it was the code P26CB which is the engine cooler pump performance /stuck off it only has 83,600k 😒
I just barely left shop same issue with my 2019 Camry SE I appreciate this video man my electric water pump bad too propeller not spinning car over heating radiator and hose Ice cold but engine HOT asf but now gonna see what the damage is $ but great video man appreciate it just followed 💯👍
Just got the P26CB code a couple hours ago on my way from work. Drove straight to auto zone to check the code, starting driving home and noticed temperature gauge rising fast. Pulled over and towed to repair shop. 115k miles
How do you reprogram the computer? Can you post a video on this? Just got my water pump from PartsGeek today and I’m going to work on my car either tomorrow or the 4th of July. Would really love information on that. Can’t I just plug it in and it’ll be fine?
Just had to tow my 2019 home. Check engine light on for 2 days. Today it ran hot. Drinking a beer now cuz I’m mad. Hopefully the extended warranty will cover it. Only has 95,000 miles on it
@@JulianfabMechanicif u was just doing the water pump and not the housing. Do u think u can reach it from underneath the car without removing the alternator
@@822loverboy you can but it’s more work.For the pump itself you can do it without removing alternator and From the top or underneath whatever works best for you
Thanks bro. Video was a big help. I took off the belt removed the water pump and put the new one on. Didn’t move the alternator, but I didn’t have to because i didn’t get new housing.

Good question,but to be honest I don’t know if it could be repaired but taking in consideration that it’s a WATER PUMP I would rather swap with new one,and you’ll be more safe👍🏼

Bro you just saved me a couple Gs I was told they had to possibly drain the Freon as well cause it was in the way but this looks like an easy fix

@@nathanielrodriguez3953 just use a obd2 scanner,delete the code,code is still gonna be permanent but after a couple of cycles you’ll be fine.
Do you have to change the thermostat also?
@@JasmineSpeights it’s not necessary but,since you have to drain almost all the coolant out it would be a good idea to replace it.
I have to order mine yesterday miles on the car 114,XXX I guess the camry has this problem with the electric water pump mine its a 2019 se 2.5

Yes it can be repaired, the propeller inside is what seizes up and can be taken out and replaced for around 40 bucks.
