I learned something new... i will not buy a CVT-transmission car.
Noise : While CVTs offer a very smooth operation, they can also be quite noisy in the cabin of your car. Most cars with CVTs get most of the engine's power (for passing, onramps, and going up inclines) higher in its rev-band, meaning the engine needs to rev to higher RPMs than they would in a car with an automatic.
Expensive repairs: CVTs are not as mechanically complicated as traditional automatic transmissions. That being said, they are significantly more difficult to work on and repair if something goes wrong. Due to their design, they need to be precisely calibrated and the work can be incredibly intricate. Because of this, you may have a difficult time finding a mechanic who has the knowledge and expertise needed to work on your vehicle’s continuously variable transmission. Even if you do find someone, it is going to be much more expensive to get it fixed and get yourself back on the road.

I recently drove a rav 4 (with all the bills and whistles) and a volvo t8 XC90 (with all bills and whistles) and tbh yes the volvo acceleration and ride quality was better but the gap wasnt that big? And in terms of build quality there wasnt much difference.

Well I have to agree with scotty on this one. Bought one of these in nightshade edition in 2021 and it is the best 27K I ever spent. Love pretty much everything about it, D4S, no turbo, timing chain, proven powerplant, conventional trans and super mileage. Only thing I hate is the cruise control takes too many presses to do anything as it never remembers previous settings and the lane keeping stuff is too obtrusive and picky in my opinion. But the new Camry's really are incredibly well designed overall and should last a long long time.

I do wish thsyd get did of tbe lane keeping tech because to me its useless and u dont wsmt stuff in my way like that. Id rather have the money spent instead on higher quality components. I think the base modem bare bones with basics like floor mats is still a pretty expensive vehicle but ifs affordable enough the new ones are obtainable by many so years later at least youll be able to pick up good ones for pretty affordable and thats what i aim for if im really driving. I just purchased the 2024 Nightshade edition SE AWD! It literally has everything I need and nothing I don’t. I’m very satisfied knowing it’s going to run practically forever. My Mom’s Camry is a 2001. That’s 22 years old! She’s only ever had to replace her radiator and her water pump. Those two things broke but I think she did pretty good. Other than that, it’s just been regular oil changes, maintenance, and making sure her battery is good. She could hop in that car and drive it anywhere and it would be fine. All my aunts drive a Camrys. They run forever.

This car makes a lot of sense on so many levels. I got rid of my V8 truck (I do miss it) for this car in black, SE model. Truck was killing me on gas as I have a 1 hr + commute. I have 70k on mine, not a single issue. (Can't say the same about the truck). It also still rides as smooth as the day I picked it up. Gas bill has been literally cut in half and so has insurance. I paid sticker for it (wasn't marked up). It's almost like it's putting money back in my pocket. I feel w andriod auto it has just the right amount of tech for me, no regrets. To anyone looking at one, you will have no regrets owning it. It makes a lot of sense on many levels.

I don't understand anyone not liking the Camry. It's zippy, dependable, and never dies. And the look has always been classic.

We had the Toyota Camry here in the UK, but it is no longer sold here.
However, Ireland and some other European countries still have it.
The European spec uses a 2.5-litre hybrid system only.

I rented an LE for a long distance trip & drove it a few thousand miles because I didn't want to put the miles on my car. It's an excellent comfortable car you really can't go wrong with it. I rented a Corolla a few years before the Camry for a similar trip and HATED it. It's too light and got pushed around like crazy on the expressway by high winds. The Camry is just right.

I wish Toyota would bring back the Camry Wagon. I would line up at the dealer's door right now instead of considering a SUV in the future when my old Chrysler goes Chernobyl.

I have always had a Toyota along with what ever other vehicle we have had. We are one year into our 2020 Camry XSE and we are loving it. We traded a 2000 Avalon with 175000 miles on it and it was still running good! You would be hard pressed to beat a Toyota for longivaty... 🎉

I bought a 21' SE model, as a secondary car just for running errands... Choose this car over the accord for being more simple. No turbos, no digital dash, ect.. . Got it for 22k+ MSRP back in 2020 brand new .

I have the 2019 Camry SE (pretty much the same thing as this one) and I love it. 114,000 miles and it doesn’t do any of that gear hunting or transmission hesitation that a lot of people complain about. I think that was just the 2018 model. My dad’s 2018 Camry does it. Even the ones that do gear hunt and hesitate are still reliable, but it’s just annoying.
