Very nice lap run. I'd love to have the opportunity to take my 05 STi out to to Nurburgring someday :P Also neat to see we have the same DEFI dash gauge cluster and JVC stero, haha! :P I'm fairly certain the JVC isn't OEM, but I'm for sure certain the DEFI cluster wasn't. I'm the 4th owner, so I know some things have been modified, but still really cool to see such a similar setup! Respect from the states ;]

How are high are oil temps on a lap like this, and where are you measuring from?
110 - 115 (with a large oil cooler mounted behind a duct (near side fog cover) with some custom ducting - measured from the top of the block

What hp are you pushing?? I had the ringtaxi behind me the other weekend.. I had him pass with the intention to try and follwing him, but I got definitely short on straight speeds to catch up

It's not twin scroll, RCM tubular manifold, 3" Milltek turbo back

Suby rumble goes away when you go to equal length headers, which the new WRX's (FA 2.0 engine) have.

Don't shift so much. Commit to one gear before a corner and keep it that way. Very often on this track, a higher gear is usually better.
Having confidence to hold higher gears in the right places, especially when its wet or damp under the tree's.... Still might help, although the car is not standard at all and this turbo makes no power at low revs, very different to a standard car in a lot of ways.
its easier said than done i must admit. Having the car in a higher gear often makes you feel a bit out of control sort of. Kinda like you are going too fast entering the corner. But choosing 3rd rather than 4th makes you feel a bit safer and under control. Witch ofc is better, But sometimes slower. :) keep the vids coming, i enjoy watching them. Remember: Slow is smooth, Smooth is fast. ;)

CCCR Sales it’s damp in places and the driver of the ring taxi has 1000s of laps worth of experience ;) he’s well up on the basic stuff, for the “job” of ring taxi driver you need an A permit for the ring, i.e. your a qualified racing driver for GT3 class cars at the ring
You can still drive 1000's of laps badly....... Highly successful race drivers don't miss apexes, its lap time gain, period... Plenty of keen amateurs in the world having fun and enjoying themselves, and there is nothing wrong in that.
Alot of the time the passengers actually talk to the driver so they get a bit disctracted. To me it looks like this ringtaxi driver wasn't going that fast, so I think he is distracted alot. I mean, I can do a 8.50 with my BRZ and it has WAY less power and I'm not a pro at all...
