- I had a nice weekend's rest. How about you guys?
Anyways, here is another video filled with as much information as I could manage. I had to start a new game just to record this (which was why it took so long to release) and test things I uncovered.
There are a couple more things the game doesn't tell you, but these 12 are what I found to be important for newcomers to the series and people returning to the franchise.
Mine-related tips/tricks/guides are not included here. It will have a video of it's own.
I also have a video for the Wild Animals (and how to unlock them) and (maybe) a tour of my farm at the end of the first year. I'm also open to suggestions on what you guys would want me to cover next.

Also, how do you make glass? I honestly can’t figure it out.
I actually like the whole ageing thing. Though they could probably change it if they remake it to be similar to how Rune Factory handled generations in their game (where the son/daughter ends up being the Player's character).
As for how to make glass, you need to have Glass Stone from the mines. Once you have that, just craft glass from your notebook.

i never seen them do this, so it would be interesting to see, being able to play as your kid.
@@RoyalRoxia That's what I was talking about, haha. The first Rune Factory game implemented that very same feature. The first character you play as ends up having a kid and you play as that kid and that kid also gets his own child and you play as that child in the end. In RF the story required that you actually get those children before you can progress. It would be cool if it was something like that.
Nah the dying/aging thing is what makes the A(nother) Wonderful Life games the best in the series.
Well that and the realism when it comes to breeding and milking

A video idea that could be useful is to show every possible donation for the museum and, for the wild life section, tell where/when to take the picture required. Personnally, given the fact that we can't change the placement of a donation once put down, I'd rather wait until I find a complete list somewhere so I can put everything in a more cohesive manner rather than just going at it willy nilly. It'd be a really big and time-consuming project though 😅
Yep, that's my plan: the Animals video is something I'm currently working on (had to redo it because I accidentally deleted the game footage for the completed Wild Animals video, oooff!).

Ahaha, welcome aboard and thanks for watching! I'm glad you felt that way! Yeah, I plan on doing a couple of SoS videos soon, just need to go finish the SunnySide (another farming sim) ones that are up on the editing block. :D
I'd like to throw a couple of things out there, you can also increase the level of your crops by leveling up your fieldwork stat. I haven't maxed it yet, but on the third or fourth level, you'll get a trait that increases the level by 2 stars. Also, after you drain the big lakes and they fill back up again, you can fill your watering can at the lake for the three or so days that the lakes are pure.
Thanks for the added tip! I knew about the fieldwork stat but saw that it is something the game DOES tell you, so I didn't add it here, haha. Also, for the Area 3 Lake, draining that will unlock a new area for you to travel. :)
If you're processing a lot of the same item in makers, position it/them closer to the top left in your inventory from similar items, doing this makes this the default item when you open the maker, so you can setup your makers much faster by not having to move the cursor to the item each time.
Also, sprite points don't reduce the population of the sprite village (I thought it did at first, so held onto a lot of points for a long time before spending them at the shrine) so you can keep your sprites working in the village and spend your points.
The ball! It drove me crazy trying to figure out how to play with my dog! I went and sold it lol. But the knowledge you dropped will be so helpful. Thank you! Also been loving this game!

Great video! Re the seed maker, you can also put the special crops like golden strawberries or star potatoes and you'll get way more seeds from the maker, not just 2 😊

thank you, these are really helpful! just wanted to point out that this isn't the first instance where the shipping bin is limited. in harvest moon animal parade (and i think tree of tranquility as well, not sure on that one since i played AP more) the bin also has a set number of slots.
Also rune factory 4 had shipping bin limits ^^

Yeah. I honestly found it out when my controller almost fell and I gripped it too tightly that I ended up pressing the right analog stick, lol.

You can use puddles to fish up crayfish. Not sure if you knew but it's a cool thing I found randomly.

You can buy 10 star seeds from the sprite village randomly, plant, grow, and then turn the plant into multiple seeds. Should ave quite some time than leveling them up one star at a time.
You don't really level them up one star at a time. They level up from 0 to 3/4, to 6, to 8 and 10 depending on your Skill Level and the Farm Quality and this is much more constant than relying on luck and randomness alone.

Thank you! As for your question, you can check the Notes in your house (it's the blue notebook). It has "Pet Notes" in it that shows you how many hearts your pet already has as well as their personality type. Hope that helps. :)

If you goal is to just get to the bottom of the mine fast bring lots of food and look for pitfalls yes it hurts you stamina but that is what the food is for and its fast I had to test it out 1st to see if it was like stardew valley and it is I found a pitfall on floor 5 and jumped in and went all the way to floor 11

Those will appear over time. Unless you've customized your farm enough that there aren't any empty spaces. Also, they appear on various locations.

I was wondering about some of these (especially stamina, pet toy, and unlocking other sprites).
I do have a question since I can't seem to find the answer in a guide anywhere: What should I do with gold crops/byproducts?
I recently got some golden strawberries and golden milk, but not sure if I'm supposed to sell them (as they sell for more), put them in a maker, or hold onto them.
In my personal playthrough, I usually take just enough to make seeds with, then sell the rest. The milk and the egg I sell as is. Also, like what Kay Aerie said in the comments, the golden crops produce more than 2 seeds in the maker.

Having more than 1 Silos/Silages CONNECTS them. So you can keep 200+ Fodders in your Silage, if you have a bunch of silages around your farm.
Thanks for that tip! Let me just add for the others: You also need to have crafted the Automatic Feeder if you don't have to worry about manually feeding your livestock and they take fodder from the Silo.
You can get the extra stamina from mining frenzy with the gold hammer.
The game was definitely a step backwards. At least I still have my 3ds for the other games, and Stardew Valley of course.

I'd really like some clarification on sprite management! I've been assigning sprites pretty randomly and hoping for the best.
For Sprite Management, how I set them up is dependent on what I needed and hoped to get. If I need more wood or lumber, I put more sprites on the Wood Sprite. If I needed more fish or hoped to get bait, I place them on the Angler Sprite. If you want more food items, then the Food Sprite, etc,..

Haha, the shrines isn't really that useful at first and people do tend to forget about it especially if they don't have reason to go there (like if they don't have enough sprite points). XD

The "fertilizer" sorta ended up being a blessing in this game from the shrine and more of a permanent thing, which is fine by me, lol. It doesn't make getting high-level seeds any easy though. 😅

What flowers work in the bee hives? Everyone I have tried so far won't work in it?
All flowers you've planted and the ones you can get seeds from that you can forage (like the daisies).

How do you get squids? I made squid bait but I only got regular fish when fishing.. I can't find the information online.
Squids can also be found at the earth sprite location, if sprites are allocated to angler sprite, if you've unlocked it...
Which squid? The Common one or the other one (sorry name of it eludes me right now)? If it's the common one you can fish them in any season on the beach in the first farm area or you can catch them via the net. For the other one, I caught it during a thunderstorm using a Golden Rod. You can also try your luck at the Earth Sprite Village if you've unlocked the Fishing Sprite since it gives you random fishing-related items, including various types of fish.
Im looking for a walk threw I can't find since I don't know the key word to search it to the top of the results
but as you do the town requests you go tyo AFFTER the credits you get these insanely complex quests
3 kinds of Cloth comes early on
then you have to get lots of other things
then you get 3 King Crab, 3 spotted rays, 3 Giant catfish and 5 Marlin which I just finished
now they want 10 to 20 of every gem stone which is hard because of RNG and having to go 30 or more levels down to get the emeralds and sapphires. Regardless I need to find and refine a few of ALL the gems huge pain because of the molls and hidden steps.
on top of this Ive been trying to save 100 of each gem for the large gem maker and get enough ore to fully upgrade all the tools and get the $1,000,000 for the final house upgrade
I want to stay ahead of the content requests so I need to know where this attempt to fix up the museum and repair the shrine or whatever is going so I can save the NEXT how many ever part are left and find out how many more requests before the NPCs stop giving me requests. So that I can sit back and say "Its over I got every thing I don't have to give away any more I can keep my stuff"
mainly I need to get some sort of way to turn yarn in to cloth my cloth maker doesn't seem to want the yarn and I don't know why.
All the fishing and mining is taking away from crop raising time and Im getting worried that a future quest might say "give us treasures" or "give us pink yarn" or "Give us every color of dye" or "Give us100 bricks of every metal" or "Give us 25 Oar Fish" who knows !
I don't want to have to go get 50 of some item that was insanely hard to find and also just sold.
but I don't want to just in case hold on to every item
so I need to get to the full list for this but Google only gives me the Town requests up to the parade not beyond it.
How do you unlock the shrine? I have seen one cutscene and have over 100 sprites.
You have to have seen so many, I don't remember how many, cut scenes of the spirit,and I think the adult version of spirit is needed...
*SPOILER* You need to have seen all the cutscenes of the Spirit. The one where she's standing by your farm, the one where the kids hear the singing, the one where she talks about the light, the one where you visit her again, and the one where the Navi Sprite follows you to her. The final one unlocks the Sprite and the Shrine.
When holding down the R button and moving, it makes it a lot easier to water your crops and harvest. Not doing this can make it feel unbearable. I found this out by accident.
I think that is a feature that is also available on the other Story of Seasons title and the Rune Factory games (iirc). But, yeah, it's not something the game outright tells you (but you would need to read in the in-game books about).

How many points are needed for the Lava sprite minigame to get a stamina heart?
I unlocked mine when I got 4,458 points. When I first tried it, I got 3,000. So, I'm guessing around 4,000 points.

There is a series of community quests you have to do. You'll be notified when you can have your motorcylce back after doing them, iirc.

You can get more blueprints by leveling up your skills.

But... what does the sprites really do?... :o i just get things from them, but i dont see em doing nothing other than running around in their "magic" garden or whatever is called...
Yeah, they're for getting items. Like the Journey Sprite? Raising its level is the only way for you to get certain items you'll need for the museum. Stuff like that.

How to get the milker? I got 2 cows and need be milked.
You don't need those tools in Pioneers of Olive Town. You can just stand next to the animals and harvest whatever produce they have.

You can go fishing in puddles.
Yep. And the lakes once they are cleaned.
Although I’ve only caught crayfish in the tiny puddles that you scoop for clay😊
You can get artifacts for the museum there as well. :D
What about that thing called take a trip post a postcard what is that so I’ve been watching videos other peoples games and they don’t have the same thing is showing me

That's for Nintendo Online, I believe. When you send a postcard, you will share a photo that you have taken with the camera. If you play in online mode, loading screens will show photos taken by other players, and there is a chance that other players will see yours.

Hi! You just place them perpendicularly. The game will automatically create a corner as long as you place another fence on the other side of the one you connected it from.

Oh a few things that I find out myself when I playing the game 🤔 & I hope you enjoy your day today
1. You have to marry young master Lori to unlock the Secret character instead of other marriage candidates
2. Your child will not spending some time with the child parents & yes I know it really sad but that what I find out myself
3. Town people doesn’t care about other people birthdays even I feel extremely bad for Damon because his family don’t care about him at all & it broke my heart feel that happened by looking at him & i feel bad for him
4. Marriage candidates share the same age as the player well Damon have the same age as my character & it was really awesome & I was lucky to married a same age bachelor in Olive town ☺️

Yes, it's in the eShop! First part comes out in April I believe. And then more parts will be released until August.

Are you talking about Twilight Isle? Do you have the Expansion Pass purchased?

You need the Expansion Pass in order to go to Twilight Isle. It's not a free "update", so unless you have that DLC pass purchased/bought, then you won't be able to go to the isle.
