Luvdisc can probably survive without needing to evolve because of one thing : Affection! It’s been shown that in Pokémon, affection and care are HUGE. I think Luvdisc is probably able to GIVE affection, the kind that improve performance. They also are known to hide in Corsola’s branches.
Also, a dex entry says that couples that find Luvdisc will have eternal love, that honeymoon hotels keep them in fountains and pools, and that Luvdiscs are given as gifts in romantic relationships!
So it’s safe to say that humans have quite the attachment to the little useless ‘mon, and any evolution would probably make them LESS desirable to humans and more vulnerable to predators. After all, evos get bigger, and then they wouldn’t be able to hid in a Corsola’s branches.

I have never remotely understood this. The only similarities they share is that they are pink and are fish. By the same logic, Bidoof is a preevolution of Stantler as they are brown and are mammals.
@@zoroearc2582 you're just being intentionally obtuse than. They're not just both "pink fish." They share: color, shape, names derived from the word love, and a status as pokemon related to relationships to others. Luvdisc being the rendezvous pokemon and Alomomola being the caring pokemon. For them to not be related in any way is just moronic and redundant
@@mishoa1 Alomomola is just the word mola made to be palindromic, nothing to do with love. Luvdisc is based on the kissing gourami, while Alomomola is based on a mola, fish which aren't related
@@zoroearc2582 actually it's also based on aloha, a greeting meaning love and compassion, as is obvious by all its portrayals in officially licensed media depicting it as being related to love. Hence again, it's label as the "caring" pokemon. You tried to nitpick the name aspect both pokemon share and ignored the others I gave you, but still failed. Try again.
I could've SWORN that I mentioned the fact that Lapras was hunted to near extinction (in the past) but turns out I included that fact in a future video (that I'm releasing in a month)... not this video. So I was originally confused by all the comments saying I left that fact out. I'm sorry about that. I was originally gonna include it but I guess I thought I did, since I included it in another video.

Kind of a bad subject. Going deeper into it, you find many different answers which this video doesn't even approach.
Can you please make another guessing pokemon from bad descriptions video? It nearly made me pee my pants laughing.
Lapras is based on prehistoric reptiles, like plesiosaurs but also on giant extinct marine turtles.
There where no members of the superorder Dinosauria that where entirely aquatic. Spinosaurus is one of few that may have exhibited highly aquatic behavior, like a giant fish eating duck with teeth. The term "dinosaur" is restricted to just those reptiles descended from the last common ancestor of the groups Saurischia and Ornithischia (including the ancestors of modern birds). So this also excludes Pterosaurs and creatures like Dimetrodon, what was a synapsid. Closer related to us mammals then to any form of other prehistoric reptile. Just a little fun food for thought.
I not want to see a Tauros evolution but yes a baby form that tie together with his Unova cousin.

For some odd reason I want Ditto to evolve into something. Like a Pokemon that can actually learn moves upon evolving.
I know it won't happen because of the "Mew Clone" theory etc. but still
There was this beta evolution for ditto called animon but didn't make it into the full game. I think it was for the best.

Solrock and Lunatone: they are floating rocks, they don't have any predators. Not even a minute ago: Sableye, the ghost/dark pokemon, eats rocks.
I am more joking than not, but Sableye actually sounds like the perfect counter for Solrock and Lunatone.

Don't forget, some of the early Pokémon were originally going to evolve, like Farfetch'd and Qwilfish, or even had pre-evolutions, like Tangela or Girafarig.
