On my 4th rewatch, I JUST noticed that some of the products have slightly hidden messages. The ones I noticed were on the “cool kids juice” (GET OUT), the ketchup (Wasting your Life) and the miracle cream (You Are Wasting Away). I think that adds a level to this game, it’s not just about how customers are horrifying, but how retail jobs are straight up soul sucking.
Also the paint cans say PAIN not painT
And "You are a Loser" on the cleaning spray bottle
yeah, and one of the paint cans say PAIN, not PAINT.
And then there was "kill him* on one of the bleach bottles I think, sprays or something idk
yeah, it really does make the game a bit more unsettling than it already is, i’ll list some other ones that i found:
- one of the cans of dog food saying “you’re stuck”
- one of the spray bottles saying “you are a loser” with the rest of them saying “kill them now!”
- a paint can with the label “pain” instead
I like how the customers are fine with the employee throwing a box at them but if you can't find the aisle that they want to go to, they immediately want to speak to the manager
No
I've worked retail. This is 100% real experience I've gone through. If you can't memorize where shit is and shit isn't, you're screwed.

Omg thank you for noticing
I’ve been working retail for 3 years and counting, EVERYTIME a customer looks in my general direction I keep repeating under my breath “don’t talk to me oh god please”
You poor bastard
Is customer service really that traumatizing? You make it sound like Vietnam
@@Euphoric_existenceIt’s usually some absurd request that we can’t fulfill, and then they get pissed at us for being unable, and it just starts a whole thing. If you’re stocking, running register, and cleaning, it can get a little exhausting having to also juggle the customers just being outright awful lol
@Lil-chef_is_in_the_house it's a trip for sure. Older people yelling at you even though you're busy helping ANOTHER customer, people thinking they know better than me when I tell them we don't have a product "but I got it here before", people giving the vaguest description of what they're looking for "it's purple and in a box", people thinking you should know everything even though what they're asking for is not in YOUR department, people pushing you with their carts not saying excuse me, people pushing you out of the way when you're stocking the shelves to grab something you're stocking without saying excuse me, people wanting to change the layout of the store for their convenience and they don't understand that we lower employees can't control that corporate does, people coming to employee only areas because they think they're important and can't be bothered to find anyone on the floor already, people asking questions like I'm a culinary chef or a doctor no ma'am idk how to get rid of ur osteoporosis and getting mad when idk how to treat them, people getting mad at you when we're out of stock on something and take it out on you, people in cults who catch you and talk to you for hours to tell you about their beliefs, people who talk to you for hours simply because they have no one else to talk to and tell you their life story, homeless people doing drugs in the bathroom, homeless people throwing stuff at you, getting written up for "looking depressed" , and more I can keep going

I worked at a thrift shop about 6 years ago a few months after giving birth to my son. This mother and her two daughters came in in halloween to look for a “costume” for her eldest, my shift ended I believe 9 pm they came in at 8. Her daughter was gonna be a bunny, so ya know the whole white outfit jazz, they came up to me while I was stocking and moving things back into the right area asking if we had anything in white around her size. We had some white things, she was looking through the uh jeans for some skinny white ones. I pointed out a few, tried to help the best I could. And hour and 15 mins later, she goes we can’t find anything. And left….my store was a mess. I missed my bus home. Never recovered lol and then a few weeks after my son had been born an ex gf got a job working in a diner as a waitress I worked graveyard shift so 9 pm to 6 am. I came in for four days before they fired me. Bc in my exs words I didn’t learn quick enough. Anyways after the first few hours on my 1st night a guy told me my piercings were sexy and once he left I took them out, bunch of creepy old guys openly flirted with my ex, and two woman came in. The one asked if we had Russian food bc we had a Russian salad dressing. We said no, but we have other great food. She caused a scene and left. Her friend shrugged, walked out and left. Group of teens came in my last night. They had a “queen bee” sorta girl with them, got drinks, “ looked at the menu”, she didn’t see anything that she liked. So they just left. Needless to say I didn’t get a tip. But uh I’m glad I no longer work with people anymore lmao

"Essential jobs" = Minimum Wage 🤑
Coronavirus is so sweet
@@christiansnaturestudio6599 coronavirus is tastey for the cancer
All walmarts start at 11 as the policy before state and differential factors are included. Target does higher but you get less hours, so it doesn't make any difference. Best Buy is cool but the policies and commission quotas are a joke. What retailer is paying minimum? Especially right now?
@@gokibros4451 some grocery stores are, but not many. The ones in my town are paying minimum+, but I know that's rare.
Newbornkilik Plays! Unskilled labor = minimum wage
This game should just be called "Working retail when you have social anxiety" lol.
(Edit) This comment thread got way too real y'all.
I don't think an anxiety condition is necessary to experience retail this way.
@@ceresta1732 nowadays almost everyone thinks they have anxiety problems, literaly.
I think they are pussies
Rick what about the people who were diagnosed with anxiety?
@@lambybunny7173 different story. Im talking about the attention seekers, and most of m are, just man up, life is gonna throw much harder and harsher things at you than socializing
@@ceresta1732 you right
I'm actually watching this before his newer video on the same game
Just because, here are some hidden messages I could find:
7:35 ketchup bottle says "you're wasting your life"
15:05 the dog food says "you're stuck"
16:03 juice says "get out"
17:19 the squeezie tube says "you are wasting away"
19:46 the paint bucket says "pain"
20:07 spray bottle says "you are a loser"
This is exactly what it’s like to be an “essential” employee in the time of Coronavirus.
I’m glad I got out of retail during this craze. Now I just deal with crazy people wanting pizza.
I haven't seen Mark this stressed in a while, kinda funny actually
Dude can you please be not everywhere?
Hey. . . I swear I've seen you with a mustache. . .
Ive seen you everywhere
SCP:CB, just watch it. Beautiful series
Why are you EVERYWHERE?
10:07 "Dog soup? Is that soup made of d- DIE"
Were you about to say dog??!!

I like how for the managers voice, he just wheezes in the middle of every sentence
to change your pfp, click on your channel icon on the top right hand corner than click the blue text that says manage your google account. After that click on your current profile pic on the top of your screen, than select images. Done.
This manager reminds me of my gm
@@Bimgus9he/she probably preferred it without a pfp, but again I don’t know him/her lol
Project Memphis in their about page they said they would change their pfp if they knew how, so i tried to help
@@Bimgus9 ohh! Sorry my bad

Sounds like my younger days in big box retail. Older guys that have been there for years and years telling me to get the hell out while I can. Me saying no way it can be that bad. Yes, yes it is.

Marsonist I got a job at retail once, I only worked one shift once I realized that I could make significantly more money by just mowing lawns, as well as set my own schedule.

I'm surprised Mark didn't realize after he accidentally hit the customer with a box that you COULD throw it at them and not do their task.
It was even in the tips Jimmy gives you. He read it out loud!
