You need to push the update through vpn and use japan connection to simulate local OTA update. But it's kinda tricky, you need to perform full factory reset first, (without sim card), download the vpn app using wifi, and with the vpn you can manually bring up the OTA update
@@bosenngantor9160 Is it worth it to move all data off the phone for this update? Particularly looking for camera software updates like auto -focus etc.
I didn't experienced the newest software as I was using the stock software/rom untill I sold the phone after 2-3 months of usage. Personally I do believe there's no big difference after the update but you need more info about this, I can't really confirm it
Both were not that impressive considering the battery size, but I’d say Mi 11 ultra is slightly better, aquos software optimization was kinda half baked despite being stock-look skin
I'd say I prefer using Mi 11 Ultra. It feels more premium, overall more polished than R6. R6 is a good phone, has great camera, but terrible UI (especially the camera UI), I'm not saying MIUI optimization is better, this UI is heavy too, but Idk, R6 has lots of homework for their software consistency. The camera has lots of potential, but hurted by inconsistent image processing. While Mi 11 Ultra feels like a proper flagship inside and out. This hardware with some kind of pixel UI would be legendary tho.
@@mdzd71 still a great phone don't worry. Both has more or less the same specs, so both are on the same level...it's probably just my preference towards mi 11 ultra (it's fantastic phone, still much better than mi 12 imo). R6 has exciting camera system, that huge 1 inch sensor can produce some amazing shots, particularly photos with natural bokeh background, and it's worth to try... the image processing is actually quite close to what my xperia 1 iii doing, tend to produce natural photos, while mi 11 ultra tends to boost the colors. But I give the edge on mi 11 ultra on the video recording tho.
you can purchase it from docomo official website, as this phone only sold in Japan through Docomo, I purchased this phone also with International shipping to my country.
Hey! Do you know how to system update outside of Japan? I have had R6 for 1 year and only been able to update once in November of 2021
