    Camera comparison aside, Aquos R7 has (over 12S ULtra):
    - sdcard slot
    - 3.5mm headphone jack
    - 5000mAh battery
    - 1-240Hz 2000 cd/m2 screen
    To some, that is a GREAT advantage over the 12S Ultra.

    Great video! I have Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra and I love it's cameras but the shutter speed, and low light photos take way too long, and can result in blurry images of moving objects and in general, that is why I ordered the Xiaomi 12S Ultra, the image quality is improved, but knowing myself I won't notice it this much, however way faster shutter speed, less blur of image and faster night mode is the highlight for me, I love taking snaps and love taking shots on auto mode while letting the phone do all the corrections, Xiaomi 12S Ultra seems to be a huge step up in that department and that is why I bought the phone, Sharp in this video reminds me allot of my phone, it takes great pictures, but if the object move, or if I move slightly the pictures are blurry/less detailed and it ruins the experience for me

    It should be noted that the Sony IMX989 CMOS lens of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is 50 megapixels, while the AQUOS R7 is 47.2 megapixels, indicating that Sharp is using the cropped sensor. Lei Jun has said that the Xiaomi 12S Ultra uses a custom Sony IMX989, complete with a 1-inch super bottom, and no cropping was done. Lei Jun revealed that Xiaomi’s camera department was involved in the IMX989 specification definition and part of the design and verification work. 15 million USD was spent on IMX989 development, with Xiaomi and Sony each bearing half of the cost.

    • @Quoutub
      @Quoutub Před 2 lety +4

      My guess is that they wanted to use the same lens as in the Aquos R6. But the R7 has a slightly larger sensor with a slightly larger diagonal, so the diagonal field of view would have been larger (18mm instead of 19mm) and there would have been maybe too much vignetting or it would be more difficult to advertise 18mm instead of 19mm.

    • @CallMeRabbitzUSVI

      @@CallMeRabbitzUSVI No, they don't use the same sensor size. The Aquos R6 uses a 115mm² area, the Xiaomi 12S uses 129mm², which is slightly larger than a 4:3 1" type sensor. A 4:3 1" type sensor would have 120mm².

    @Ben - I am considering to buy the Chinese version of this phone or do you recommend that one waits for the international version? Actually what is the difference between domestic and international versions of smart phones? Is it just the software or is it hardware related as well (thinking about 5G)? If one buys a domestic version, is it difficult to switch to English version?

    • @bensgadgetreviews
      @bensgadgetreviews  Před 2 lety +1

      I don't know if there will be an international version. The China version can switch to English and install Google easily. Not much diff other than have to install Google first
