Jimin wrote and composed lie on his own, and just-it’s a masterpiece! Also the producer of Lie, DOCSKIM, also recently released a re-produced version of the song, and it’s also phenomenal! As for the Agust’D ft Jimin project- that’s “Tony Montana” and the studio version was released as a gift for ARMY on their latest album. Check it all out, you will not be disappointed 😌
Yes, I agree with all of the above. I have seen so many musician reactors praise Lie so much. They call it a genius composition.
I was also going to recommend the newer Doc Skim Lie that he made because he tweaked it to sound even better (while keeping Jimin's original vocals).

Coming here to say exactly this. It blows me away every time I hear it go to the major key for the lie. It’s chilling and yes, absolutely genius. It honestly hurts my heart overall - the minor key and lyrics are just filled with pain. And being lifted (on a pedestal?) at the chorus is another piece that is just brilliant. The whole this is just so amazing.
If it's about Jimin, im here for it. We all feel some type of way about Jimin.
THE " Lie" is Jimin's inner voice telling him constantly that he is not good enough , not talented enough and of course that's a lie. Watch the dance practice video, Jimin is all in white, the camera is soo close you can really see the emotion up close and personal. Also watch Classical Musicians react to Lie and break down the music and how the use of major and minor create a lie within the music, well worth your time.💜💜 -"TONY MONTANA" is the song Jimin raps with Suga. Suga and Jimin my bias and bias wrecker. 💜

I would recommend reacting to “Promise”. It’s a free release so it doesn’t have a video or even a full performance but Jimin has sung bits of it live. Plus there’s behind the scenes footage of him working on the song and it’s super interesting to see. “Promise” is honestly my number one comfort song right now since it’s basically Jimin making a promise to himself that I feel really connected to
Jimin said once that he preferred Serendipity before Lie because its lighter and more hopeful but he also said that for his solo work he wants it to be darker and rawer... So, this could get interesting =D
For the members during the solo parts on concerts, most of them are getting ready for their own solo but they have monitors all around backstage it seems because they often film the members watching the one on stage while makeup-artists are doing their thing on them =)
It could be argued that the whole point of any kind of art is to make you feel something. So if Jimin makes you feel something through his dancing, or through his singing, if he is conveying some kind of emotion to you that you can understand and translate through the lens of your own experience, then I guess that is art.
Glad you got this unblocked. Lie is epic not just as a perfunctory musically it’s just amazing and unexpected perfection. But his stage presence just is unforgettable. When we finally get the 4 vocal line solo projects the fandom is going to lose their minds we’ve waited so long.
Everyone answered all the other questions so I'll do this one . During Jimin's performance all the other members are backstage getting ready for their performances. Many BTS concerts are a mix of solo , group and unit performances so everyone gets a chance to rest in between but also so that everyone can showcase their individual performances as well.
Jimin affects EVERYONE on a cellular level - male and female! Check out the ‘Jimin Effect’ videos! Btw, his vocal range is phenomenal - the highest range of the group - and he’s technically trained in every genre of dance, including ballet; he also has a black belt in Taekwondo and is trained in other martial arts as well. That makes him the best dancer in the group…J-Hope is right behind him (he is the best hip hop dancer in the group).
Jimin is just a phenomenal entertainer. Jimin wrote this and it's about his insecurities about himself and how he viewed himself before he accepted who he is. They started out with him being aggressively dynamic and macho and that's not who he said he is, and those of us who know him know that.. So he learned to Love himself . The choreographer he had for this praised him because he said he did it the way he would do it and he knew jimin could do it perfectly. At the last run bts jimin said he wanted to learn pole dancing so someone on tiktok made an edit of it to "serendipity" and its totally gorgeous and he looks exactly like jimin, so everyone is hoping he does pole dancing...you should check it out,I don't know if we are ready but jimin has the flexibility, core strength, and the gentle beauty in his moves to do it, from his contemporary dance. He said when he dances he just feels so free so he really does get lost in the music,. I don't know when his solo album comes out but I cannot wait, he has so much emotion, this one his minor to major just emphasized the Lie. I Just put in jimin pole dance on tiktok in searcch.

Ahhhhh the Jimin efect. If he releases his album, its going to be historic. As RM said: he captivates on the stage. Totally right: this is great music and an amazing performer.

Literally, it is the first solo song of BTS that caught my ear. When I heard a segment of this song and heard that haunting line, I searched for the whole song and that's how I became a Jimin bias.💕
I think in one of the episodes of Burn the stage...he is practicing this performance and states that it worried him alot and showed his coming to terms with the performance.
The others are under the stage doing costume change and makeup/hair touch ups. For the next song. They do have monitors/tvs in order to watch each other.💜
Jimin's Lie song is my favorite after all his songs. I love the ending so much and at one of the stages he leaves very familar to the way James Brown would leave the stage all that was missing was the long coat. I had hoped that was in there but it wasn't I as sad. Yes you need to watch Tony Montana. Weird shorts on the internet are a necessity.

Jimin's works are all amazing, including his soundcloud pieces he released for free. He doesn't do quantity, but he definitely does quality. Lie is one of my favorites because it is a musical masterpiece. It's so well structured, if you dig into the way it is built with the minor shifting to major just as he sings the word Lie, with the key change being a lie itself!, so well produced, so well sung, the lyrics are intense and very personal (I saw that Jimin apparently said he didn't like performing it because it is so personal to him), the choreo is tough to do while singing but amazing and Jimin slays it, he really shows what a performer he is on the Lie performances as well. His face, his body, his voice, all embody the emotion and the music - it all becomes part of the music and makes the performances some of the best I've ever seen. Honestly, this song and his performances of it should get more appreciation.

Looks like jimin got another one. Once you Jim in you can't Jim out . Lie is a masterpiece just like him. The talent and beauty this man has. He is a classically trained dancer and was top student and he has a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master. He's so amazing many many men fall for him, gay, straight bi doesn't matter. Our precious jimin is loved by millions of army and is an angel. He is the sweetest kindest person in the world, but also the sexiest too. Don't let the cute fool you.

Jimin is the only vocalist (and I specify vocalist because their solo catalogues are smaller than the rap line) who I can’t pick a favorite song from. With the other 3 I have very clear favorites but I just can’t do it with jimin’s solos because they’re all so different but all so good

Have you listened to “promise”? Fully written single by Jimin. Promise and lie are my two favorites from Jimin, and real opposites in style.

As for solo songs in a bts concert, members often watch eo rehearse and during the show they have screens backstage so when they're ready w their costume change/makeup touchup, they monitor each other's performances and give comments. There are also videos of them reacting to their own docuseries so they watch eo then too 😊
You are right, Jimin's lower register is fantastic and we do not get enough of it.

so far the order we know for their solo albums is jhopes, rm said hes next and jungkook said hes after suga but we dont know when suga is releasing, jin said he will probably be last we dont know when v or jimin will be either so depending on who releases after rm then we may have some clarity on the order. v's in new york right now we dont know why it could be fashion related or he could be vacationing but theres always a possibility of him filming/recording/meeting with people for his album. jimin stayed in the states after jhopes lollapalooza performance and was seen with ariana grandes producers so not sure what that was about they all might be working on their albums and just keeping it quiet. armys not used to this usually we have heads up for things but ever since agust d 2 in 2020 everything has been surprise drops unless group music. its both thrilling and terrifying cause we dont know what any of them are up to. plus all the non music related things theyre doing like rm getting heavily involved in the art world like paintings and stuff he dropped a podcast and interview with new york times. tae going to paris fashion week jhope being everywhere and nowhere at the same time always posting with random people like models and artists. oh also all of the members did interviews with weverse magazine you should read them they all give hints and i think jimin mentioned something about being more explicit whatever that means LMAO.

That might include a more mature side, too, but what I’m really interested in is showing something closer to my real, personal rawness directly in a format like music or music videos. By doing so, I think maybe I can show something I never have before.
Lie is from Wings, so came out in 2016. Back then his voice still cracked here and there. By now, he trained his high notes and transitions so that it doesn't happen, so he is most often in his higher range. There are clips from the Wings tour during....Burn the Stage documentary I think, and he actually asked to put the key down live when compared to the studio version. He had a hard time singing so high and dancing if I remember.
Not that many songs with low voice Jimin xD Make it right? Apparently pdogg really likes them singing high, and he is their main producer, so another reason why most of the songs are high and Jimin's are so prominent
Well me and PDogg need a sit down because I need some more low Jimin for healthy clear skin
@@AmariLeone take me with you coz I want to fight pdogg over this as well. The most I've seen jimin sing in lower register is when they do cover for songs from other older kpop groups, like perfect man or as i told you.
